the weekend came rolling around at a rather rapid pace for most of the boys. felix was the only one having a difficult time with a slow paced week.

he was far too excited for the weekend, specifically saturday, which is when he was finally being released from the hospital. his therapist deemed he was no longer a risk to himself, and with the help of antidepressants, he would hopefully start to get better.

felix was thrilled about the assistance from pills, but if they have a chance of making his life just a tiny bit easier, than he thinks they're worth a try.

felix sat in his room bright and early on saturday, waiting for someone to come and pick him up. he had all his things packed and ready to go, now all he needed was a ride out of there.

part of him was hoping changbin would come along with his grandma, part of him also was just expecting changbin to come since the two of them had been practically inseparable since felix woke up.

when felix's grandmother finally arrived though, felix was disappointed to find out she had only brought nurse chae with her.

"hm someone looks a little too disappointed to see us." felix's grandmother teased.

"sorry, i just thought... well i--"

"you thought changbin would come?" nurse chae questioned.

"w-well yeah..." felix admitted shyly, feeling the slight blush rise to his cheeks.

"he said he had something to do today, and that he is sorry he couldn't come." felix's grandmother explained to the latter. felix just nodded his head and walked along side the two lady's. they walked through the hospital saying bye to all the nurses and doctors that aided in his recovery, and then finally made it to nurse chae's car.

"what do you want to have for dinner tonight felix, i'll make you anything you like!" his grandmother said sweetly.

"rice cakes!" felix responded almost instantaneously.

"easy enough, okay, i'll make you that." she smiled as they drove down numerous blocks to return back home.

felix felt the butterflies dance around his stomach, but not in a good way. he hadn't been back in his grandmother's house since the incident. felix did not know how to return to his bedroom, the place where he attempted to end it all.

it both scared him and excited him to finally be home. now thinking over everything though, he was far more afraid to return to that place. it would only be a reminder of the choice he made, the choice he luckily lived through.

"hey mimi," felix said softly, causing his grandmother to look at him, "are you mad at me?"

"mad at you? did i do something to give the impression that i'm angry with you?" she responded

"no, i just thought maybe you are secretly mad at me..." felix trailed off.

"why would you think that?"

"i almost hurt you the same way my dad did, i'm sorry mimi." felix felt the tears well in his eyes as he spoke. it was the first time the two of them were really talking about everything.

"felix, i'm not mad at you. if anything, i'm mad at myself for not seeing the signs sooner this time. you think i would've learned from my own son... i'm sorry felix. please never think i am angry with you, i love you, and i want you to be happy." she expressed to him sincerely just as the car pulled into the driveway.

felix nodded and wiped away the tears that were just starting to trickle down his cheeks. he took a deep breath before stepping out of the car, and froze when he got to the front door of his home.

"it's okay felix, take you time." his grandmother said to him as she stood at his side.

"thank you nurse chae," felix turned and said out of the blue, "thank you for saving me that day."

"of course felix," she smiled at him before opening the door and helping felix's grandmother inside. the two ladies stood before him and encouraged him to walk through the door.

"is my room... you know?" felix questioned.

"it's cleaned up." nurse chae spoke up, knowing felix's grandmother would not be able to.

"okay, i um- i'm going to go up there then." felix said as he slowly began to walk up the steps.

"huh... you were right, he would want to go straight to his room." nurse chae whispered to felix's grandmother.

"the plan is going to work out perfectly now." felix's grandmother smiled as she then allowed nurse chae to sit her down to do her treatments for the day.

felix trudged his feet up the stairs, and dragged them against the hard wood floor of the hallway. his bedroom door was closed, and had a sense of darkness seeping out from underneath it.

he didn't want to go inside, but something in there was calling out to him. he slowly put his hand on the doorknob and began to twist it. his jaw clenched and his eyes shut tightly as he began to push the door open.

"hey bokkie," he heard a familiar voice say, making his eyes fly open.

"binnie," felix smiled, trying to hold back the tears that were daring to push through.

"like your room?" changbin asked, showing felix all the new features.

"you painted it? oh my god... a new duvet... no more ceiling fan... everything's different!" felix cheered with a beaming smile.

"i remember when we were dating you said you wanted to redo your room, so i talked to your grandmother about it, and the guys and i started working on it shortly after you woke up. i figured you wouldn't want to be reminded of the past in here." changbin explained, watching felix's eyes light up in excitement mixed with adoration for changbin.

"you're the best binnie!" felix threw his arms around changbin and buried his face in the crook of the latter's neck.

hugging changbin felt so natural. their bodies molded together like a lock and key, made for one another. changbin was the only home felix needed, but it felt good to have a roof over his head that did not remind him of death.

"you did all of this for me?" felix asked softly, his breath tickling changbin's neck.

"of course i did," changbin rubbed the latter's back softly, knowing felix was probably feeling a bit overwhelmed, "i hope you like it."

"it's perfect bin!" felix cheered, his voice still soft, but a bit more enthusiastic this time.

"good," changbin let out a sigh of relief, "good..."

"so... want to spend the night in my new room? help me make a good first memory?" felix asked as he pulled out of the hug, his arms resting on changbin's shoulders and his fingers intertwined behind the latter's neck.

"if you want me to, then yeah, i'd love to spend the night." changbin nodded as he felt the red tint spread across his cheeks.

"someone's blushing... i guess you do still love me..." felix shrugged as he walked away from changbin.

"what was that?" changbin asked.

"nothing, nothing..." felix smiled to himself, he liked where he was at with changbin. although he wanted to be more than just friends with the boy, he was enjoying the ride of taking things slow to get to a new place. felix didn't want to go back to the way they were before truthfully, he wanted to be better than they were before.

the reason for this was because this felt like a final round, the last chance to get it right. felix does not want an on again off again relationship, he wants changbin to give his all and that's what felix will give in return. this time had to work out, otherwise, all would be lost between the two of them for good.
