it had now been ten days since felix was first hospitalized. he still hadn't woken up, and everyone was getting pretty worried.
changbin tried his best not to leave felix's side. he even missed school for the last three days just so he could sit beside felix at the hospital.
the only time changbin leaves is when visiting hours are over and he's forced to go home. he wished he never had to leave, but he knew that wasn't possible.
he showed up at the hospital once again that day, bright and early. felixs grandmother looked at changbin with disappointment all over her face.
"you have to go to school changbin. this is your fourth day missing it." she scolded the boy.
"it's a friday anyway, what does it matter?" changbin asked.
"it'll matter when you start failing your classes."
"i'll catch up."
"changbin, go to school."
"but—"
"i'll have the nurses ban you from seeing him. get to school, now." felix's grandmother demanded.
"fine... i'll go." changbin sighed as he hung his head low while walking out of the hospital.
as changbin began driving to school, he let out a small chuckle as he realized how similar felix actually was to his grandmother.
he recalled a time where felix threatened him in a similar way. changbin really misses the days that he and felix were happy together... or at least he thought they were happy together.
i sat there in my bed, avoiding school while video chatting felix.
"changbin, get off of video chat with me and go to school." felix scolded me.
"but you're sick." i frowned at him, not wanting to get off of the call.
"yeah i am, not youuuu." felix sang.
"but i want to keep you company."

"changbin, you're missing school for no reason. you need to go." felix instructed me.
"i am not missing school for no reason. i'm missing school because i'm sick." i responded.
"you are not sick!" felix laughed, but started having a coughing fit shortly after.
"let me come over and take care of you." i stated with a sorrowful look.
"binnie, i don't want to get you sick." felix pouted at me.
"you won't, i have a strong metabolism!" i said reassuringly.
"metoblism?" felix laughed at my idiocy.
"I MEANT IMMUNE SYSTEM! I HAVE A STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEM!" i corrected, feeling slightly embarrassed for my major mistake.
"looks like you need school more than you think."
"but bokkie, i wanna take care of you or i at least want to stay and talk to you." i pouted at him, wanting nothing more than to run to his house and cuddle him up in my arms.
"and i appreciate that, but you can't miss school for me. if you don't go to school, i will hang up on you, and i will not speak to you for the rest of the day." felix threatened, which i just took as an empty threat.
"no you won't! if you were going to hang up on me you would've done it already." and with those final words, felix did in fact hang up on me.
i tried calling back numerous times, but the only thing i got in response was a text saying if i went to school he would speak to me later on that day.
as foolish as i knew i was being, i didn't care. i just wanted to be with felix.
school didn't really feel worth it if felix wasn't there with me. he made my days better.

as changbin drove to school, the memories continued to flood his mind. the daydreams took over, along with his sudden wave of exhaustion.
changbin knew it was going to be a difficult day to get through, but he had to do it.
once the school day was done, he could run right back to the hospital and be at felixs side through the weekend.
he was already plotting ways he could manage to spend the night with felix, but none really seemed possible.
changbin needed felix to wake up. he needed to finally admit everything he has been feeling for far too long.
he needed to tell felix the full truth. felix deserved the truth, and not just while he is in a coma.
he deserves to hear the truth from changbin when he is able to respond to it.
