felix ran into the bathroom, finding the nearest empty stall and locked himself in.
the intrusive thoughts set in and he felt himself quickly begin to wither away.
felix hadn't felt like himself in a long time... but changbin helped restore apart of himself, and now that he was gone, he lost it all again.
felix felt his breaths quicken as his heart rate picked up.
he felt as though the walls were beginning to concave and the air was thinning.
even something as simple as breathing was difficult for felix these days, maybe everything would be easier if i just—
felixs thoughts were interrupted by sniffles coming from the stall beside him.
felix stepped out of his stall and gently knocked on the one with the crying boy inside of it.
"occupied." a voice responded, it was jeongin.
felix remembered that jeongin had run out of the cafeteria just before felix himself did.
"it's lix." felix spoke up.
jeongin slowly opened the stall door to see felixs arms stretched out, ready to hold innie within his arms.
jeongin fell into felixs warm embrace and allowed the tears to continue escaping him.
"i fucking hate it here." jeongin hiccuped as he dampened felixs shoulder.
"it's going to be okay jeongin, you are strong." felix comforted the boy by rubbing his back gently, allowing him to just get out all of his tears.
"why did changbin have to break up with you? why did he have to fall for hyunjin?" jeongin cried out.
"i wish i knew innie." felix said softly, trying not to show how hurt he was by jeongins words.
jeongin didnt mean any harm, he just far too wrapped up in his own struggles, he forgot to think of felix in that moment.

"i-i tried a-all summer... h-he always c-chose changbin over m-me." jeongin sobbed as his body shook a bit.
"you don't need him jeongin, you will find someone better, i promise you that." felix tried to reassure the boy, but it was no use. jeongin had his heart set on hyunjin and that was it.
~
chan ran out shortly after felix did, feeling the guilt eat away at him for not helping the boy sooner.
he ran into the bathroom, knowing that's typically where someone in school would go to cry, and when he entered he saw felix consoling jeongin.
"uh— hey guys." chan spoke after clearing his throat. the two boys turned their heads to look at him.
"hey chan," felix responded with a weak smile.
"i came to check on you, but you appear to be doing okay." chan said as he looked intently at felix.
"im fine, i just overheard the conversation and figured jeongin was probably hurting a lot so i came looking for him." felix lied easily to chans face and jeongin didn't even correct him.
jeongin knew felix would talk when he wanted to. felix didn't even mention if he was hurting or not to jeongin, but jeongin knew felix must have been...
"oh... so you're okay?" chan asked, not really believing the latter.
"im fine chan, changbin and i are a thing of the past... but jeongin here currently has feelings for hyunjin." felix explained, trying to direct the attention off of himself.
"uhmm... right... right." chan nodded, still weary of felix and how he was truly feelings.
"jeongin, are you okay?" chan finally asked.
"no, but thanks to felix i think i will be." jeongin sighed as he leaned into the boys touch once more.

felix wrapped his arms tightly around jeongin with a smile.
"im going to take advantage of this innie, you don't normally like skinship with me." felix swayed them back and forth, basking in the moment.
"don't get used to it." jeongin stated causing felix to frown and chan to stifle a laugh.
"hey, it's not funny! you know i love hugs!" felix raised his voice slightly causing chan to only laugh more.
"oh lix," chan shook his head as he approached the boys, wrapping his arms around the both of them.
"yay, group hug!" felix cheered, adoring the affection.
but as soon as they all pulled apart, felix felt the cold wash over his body and was reminded that he was all alone.
the boys began to exit the bathroom, chan and jeongin slightly ahead of felix, allowing felix to zone out for a moment.
felix felt empty.
he walked around without a heart, feeling hallow and lifeless on the inside.
changbin took his heart a long time ago and now it was shattered, far too broken to repair.
"lix are you coming?" chan turned around to see felix just standing idle.
"yeah, coming!" felix snapped out of his gaze and he ran to the boys side. he tried to drown out his harsh thoughts, but he knew once he got a moment alone they would all come flooding back.
