Ephemer X reader
( requested by @KhAlyssa11 , thank you so much for the request ^^)
(contains world spoilers for KHUX (mainly quest 920-940))
the night was fairly young, you and chirithy had barely just gotten home from that weird candy cybug place, it wasn't really a world more like a-- a game. it definitely confused you and your pet but you both managed, the last fight with the recent boss really drained you, you planned on laying low with quests for a week or so just to relax a little. but you knew that Chirithy would say something after a day or two. you bathed all the dirt away and planned on sleeping in for 17 hours, maybe even more. as you got into bed you looked outside your window to see the stars, what you actually took notice of was your friend Ephemer. he seemed.. tired, he dragged his keyblade behind him and every so often it would make a small sound.
chirithy looked at you the same time you looked at her "y/n, don't do it, it could be a heartless"
"but what if it isn't a heartless?" you smiled cheekily and slip on your shoes and take your keyblade with you, you rush out of the house and watched ephemer sit on the water fountain. you walk next to him then sit next to him on his left "so what're you doing up and out this late huh?" you say, he seemed startled at first then looked at you.
"late mission, my home is too far from here so im just trying to catch some energy before i make my way back home" he spoke sleepily, you understood the mutual tiredness but kept your cheerful demeanor.
"here, my house is literally 27 steps away, you can stay at my place for the night, i don't want you falling asleep on a water fountain and waking up in the water" you stand up and hold a hand out for him to take. he chuckles softly and takes your hand, standing up and wobbling over a little, you caught him and helped him keep his balance.

you led him inside and sat him on the couch. "id rather you sleep on a bed, so im gonna walk you to my room"
"y/n, i don't want to be a bother- first im intruding your house and now you're letting me stay in your room-how do you want me to repay you?"
you could only chuckle at his words "in return i want you to get a full nights rest and sleep as much as you want"
"y/nnnnnn"
"ephemeeeeerrrrrrr"
you both laughed softly and you sat him on the bed. he instantly laid down and fell asleep. you covered him up and smiled at him,he was so.... so beautiful.even asleep...
you cleared your thoughts and left the room, going back to the couch and falling asleep.
~ around 3 am~
ephemer woke up still really exhausted, but he noticed he wasn't in his home, he got up and left the room quietly, when he entered the living room he saw you sleeping and leaning against the armrest of the couch. he smiled and picked you up, carrying you to bed. he laid you down first then laid next to you. he was still sleepy but he was fully aware of everything, you turned your body towards him only to slightly bump into him, your eyes flutter open and both of you make eye contact. but it wasn't awkward. in fact it was almost surreal that you two were this close.
"y/n... tell me a story"
"a story? oh-- uh okay." you said and slightly adjust yourself so you're leaning on your elbow.
"once upon a time. there were these keyblade wielders, that would go on magical trips to far off lands that had a few problems with monsters. the keyblade wielders were such good friends, but one day one of the wielders came to a conclusion that they loved the other wielder, that wilder would never tell the other in fear they may not feel the same. but, as time passed on, the wilder grew more guilt for not sharing their true feelings- so, they told the other of how they felt. this story, ends with an unknown result. it could be good, or it could be bad. but, ill make this one a good one. the wilder told the other of their growing feelings for them, and they accepted that feeling, and they took it,and they loved it, and they loved the confessing welder, and they kissed... and it seemed like everything was gluing itself back together just when everything started to crumble. the end"

ephemer noticed how sad the story was told, even though it was with a good ending, he knew it meaning, he knew why you'd choose a story like that. because he was in that situation with you. he loved you, so much he feels guilty when he can't tell you how he feels.
"y/n..." he sat up and hovered over you "listen to me okay- i love you, i love you so much i feel guilty when i can't tell you- i feel selfish that i'm keeping my emotions to myself instead of expressing them. i want to kiss you every chance i get and i want to tell you how much i love you every single day." he said seriously.
you were in utter shock. you raised your hands to cup his face, he slightly leaned into your touch, you pulled his face towards yours and kissed him deeply. he used one hand to travel to your waist while his other kept him up and balanced. he bit your lip for entrance, you gladly allowed him and opened your mouth. your tongues fought for victory, but he overpowered you. you both stayed like that for a few minutes, before pulling away with rosey cheeks and soft pants. he kissed his way to your neck slowly, making sure to take in every spot he thought those love marks would look good at- he thought that no matter where he put them, they'd always look good.
you pouted softly once he sucked on a certain spot. he stayed there leaving a dark and semi small mark on the crook of your neck. "e-ephemer" you moaned out, making i hm look for more spots.
you pouted once again and flipped the table, allowing yourself to be ontop you did the same for him, kissed his neck and found three sweet spots. leaving clear love marks. he let out a few soft moans of his own, his hands traveled to your shirt, lifting it up to feel your skin.
you pulled away and smiled at him "not yet. take a girl out on a date first" you winked at him. he blushed and chuckled, pulling you down to lay on his chest
"you're so weird sometimes y/n"
"yeah but you love it"
"yeah i guess"
"you guess?"
"heh, i know i love it-and i love you too"
"i love you more ephemer"
~~end
sooooo how was it- i tried to add as much fluffiness as possible but not a lot to where it turns into a lemon.
anyways,
stay safe, have a good day or night wherever you are, drink water and wear your masks!

Star God
An ancient, ageless entity of magic intertwines with the essence of a tribal hero and a god is born. In a land where the worship of any entity is banned and punishable by mass-execution, the young and idealistic deity must come to terms with the ugliness of humanity, and find a way for his flock to survive, and maybe even thrive. A young man born into a mountain tribe treads the path of a hero, but he must learn the extent to which he would go to keep his people and their fledgling god safe and happy.
