Vanitas X Reader
Protecting his heart
She was gone for so long he didn't know what to do. She's been asleep in the pod sora was in for so long, too long that he'd almost forgot her, but he didn't. He never would, he used to visit her all the time, but Namine and Diz stopped him from coming one day, he never understood why, they said she needed to remember, but what did she forget? She forgot him. She forgot who she was.
Namine and Diz told him how she was doing, she's made progress to remember everything, Vanitas was happy that she's remembering. But he was worried too, would she not remember him? Her boyfriend.
Vanitas came one day to give her a gift for when she woke up, he had his helmet on to hide the fact that he was crying, he took one look at her peaceful sleeping body and broke down. He set the gift down and laid his hand on the clear pod, it instantly turned black, the whole room turned black. Heartless, dream eaters, unversed and nightmares rises from the floor and surrounded them, Vanitas took his blade and started fighting them, when none of them died Diz and Namine walked in, Diz used his magic to destroy all the enemies, when the only one left moving in the room was Vanitas, they gave a glare.
"Why are you here Vanitas?" Diz questioned
"I wanted to give her a gift.... so when she wakes up, she'll have something to welcome her back"
A shock was heard from the pod "the pod!" Namine pointed out and ran towards it. She went to the back and started fixing what was messing up
"Look Vanitas, I understand you love her, but you shouldn't be here, your touch is breaking everything" diz said and helped Namine.

Vanitas frowned behind his mask. He walked out of the room and ran out, his heart was breaking and his tears formed in his eyes
The pod broke and shattered into millions of pieces, unfixable at that point, her frail body fell out of the pod, Diz caught her and took her to a room, Namine followed and stayed with her, trying to wake her up.
Her e/c orbs opened, they were shiny and brighter than normal. She looked around and sat up. Namine gently placed her hand on her shoulder to calm her down "y/n?" She said softly, the girl looked at him and hugged her instantly "Namine...." she sighed of relief, she let go before Namine had a chance to hug back "where's Van?" She stood up, she recognized the room instantly and started changing "I'm not sure, Diz might know" Namine said softly and placed her sketches down in the bed.
After running around for a few hours her last spot for looking for him was the bridge, the bridge had many tails and stories behind their love. Some would even say its "couples bridge"
Van sat on the ledge plucking a flower, doing the loves me, loves me not.
The last three petals
"Loves me not... loves me... loves me—" Vanitas didn't have time to finish, he started crying and y/n came up behind up "loves you always" she said softly, "b-but.... the last one is loves me not" he pouted "well. I think, the last petal sets your fait. If you pluck the last one your fait is sealed, but the rest is a choice. It's your choice to think if I love you or not." She said softly. Van thought that her words were just a part of his imagination and that what he sees in front of him was just an illusion to mess with himself That's what he always loved about her, she always had a creative mind and no matter what, she always came up with something positive if it was or ended up badly.

It took Vanitas awhile to actually realize that she was there and alive. He poked her neck, a ticklish spot she hated. But he loved it. He noticed her dorky giggle and smiled "You're back.... you're here and alive and- and- and" he broke down into tears of joy and hugged her again, he kissed her head and neck and wouldn't let her go "I'm here Van. I'm okay... and I promise you I will always love you" van smiled and kissed her lips, it had been so long since he kissed her, it felt like their first kiss sharing a Paopu fruit. They smiled.
"While I was looking for you, Diz gave me this. I didn't open it yet just in case it was for a special day." she said softly and handed him the small little present "today is a special day, because you're alive" he said and unraveled the ribbon holding the wrapping appear together, a small red velvet box was cupped in his hands.
"Y/b for the longest time, I've loved you, and for the longest future I'll still love you." He got down on one knee "while you were in the pod, all I could think about was your shining eyes and your beautiful smile. And how you give a dorky cute little laugh at the smallest things. I love every bit of you and I never ever want to see you Cry. I never want to see you hurt. And I wanted to know if you would doing me the honor of marrying me?" Vanitas spoke, his words glided out of his mouth with ease, he was nervous, his hand was shaking a little bit because he was scared she would say no
"Vanitas.... stand up..."
He stood.
She stepped closer to him and took the box from his hand gently and placed the ring on her finger "that's not even a question." She smiled
Vanitas stood in shock. He sunk to his knees tho king she said no, but once he realized she said yes he cried with joy and picked her up, he ran to everyone and smiled "she's mine! And I will hunt down each and every one of you if you dare to lay a harmful finger on her" he said protecting her in an embrace "Van calm down I'll be okay" she giggled,
He was smiling like a dork, he kissed her deeply and felt her kiss back. He smiled "I love you sooooooo much" "I love you too. Nerd" she giggled

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment.
