We get our stuff and leave the school. I hop on my motorcycle.

"You ever ridden on a motorcycle?"

"Yeah. When I was 8 my brother's old friend would ride me around on his. He was like, eighteen. He was the only person close to me at the time. He really was a nice guy, b-b-b-but h-he k-k-k-k-k-killed h-himself w-when I-i w-was 10. I thrived on sadness for about a year. Th-then I started to accept w-what h-h-happened."

"Is that when your depression started?" I ask her.

"N-no. My d-d-d-d-d-depression started when I turned 4 years old. At the time I didn't know I had depression. But as I got older, reality punched me in the gut. It sucks. Depression. It really sucks you know. It ways me down on everything. Grades, socializing, eating, sleeping. Same with anxiety."

"I'm sorry. And you might not have noticed, but i never actually hit you. I actually asked Cody to stop, but he beat me up."
