Jinxx pov

The car ride to the police station is silent. I have no words. I'm just- scared. I can tell her and Toby are too. We get to the station and walk in.

Her brother is standing there.

"We just need to answer a few questions for them. It's about dad."

He says to Ash. She starts hyperventilating and I think she's gonna have an anxiety attack.

I rush over to her and rub her back and Toby starts whispering in her ear and rubbing her back with me. Her brother starts reasurring her saying it'll be ok.

She stops hyperventilating and stands up straight and follows somebody to a room. Axel does the same.

Me and Toby sit down and wait. We wait for an hour and a half and then they both come out.

Axel hugs Ash and says,

"Come over and pick up all your stuff. I'm not legally old enough to live alone so I'm moving in with a friend and we need to get all our stuff from the house. I don't know where you're gonna live but I can lend you some money for a hotel room."

"I have a job and I'm gonna start saving up for an apartment now. I'm staying with Jinxx for a few more days, though. I also have some money in the bank. I don't know how much, but I'll check tomorrow." She replys.

"Okay. You have my number if you need me." He smiles and walks out.

"You ok?" Toby asks Ash.

"Yeah, I'm just glad we're leaving this hell hole." She smiles and we all laugh.

We start walking to Toby's house.

"Where are we going?" Ash asks us.

"Toby's house." Toby winks at her.

"I'm guessing you're the cocky, narcissistic one?" Ash says and smiles at Toby playfully.

"No, I simply know that I'm amazing and c'mon, you can't say you don't wanna get with this." He is the cocky, narcissistic one.

"Mhm. Ok. Whatever you wanna tell yourself, snowball."

"Snowball?" He asks.

"Yeah, snowball. Because of your white, fluffy hair."

"Oh, okay then." He replys as we approach his house.
