Duke Crocker x Reader
One month. It's been one month since Croatoan and Audrey left. One month since all the Troubles went with them and one month since your boyfriend Duke Crocker died.
"Is Nathan coming or what?" You ask. "Cause I'm freezing my tail off over here." You're sitting in a chair at the pier with Dwight, Lizzie and McHugh watching them fish. Well mostly Dwight and Lizzie. McHugh is busy having trouble with his tangled fishing rod.
"He's not coming." Dwight says. "The new Audrey is here." Your eyebrows raise. "Yep. Her name is Paige and she has her son James. They're getting pancakes." You roll your eyes.
"Of course. He leaves his friends for a girl." You fold your arms and try to get warm.
"You were born here." McHugh says. "Shouldn't you be used to this?"
"That's not the point. The point is I'm cold."
"You're supposed to be relaxing." Dwight says. You huff.
"I'm trying."
"Hey Sasquatch! She can't relax if she's cold." You know that voice. You turn around and see Duke standing there in all black.
"Duke?" He nods. You get out of the chair and collide into him. He tightly wraps his arms around you and buries his face in your neck. "How? How are you here right now?"
"Croatoan. He let me come back."
"Why?"
"As a favor to Audrey." You furrow your eyebrows. "I'm really here. No strings attached." Your eyebrows stay furrowed. "Don't be skeptic. There's no reason to be. I'm here Y/N. As real as Lizzie is standing there. I'm here to stay." He kisses you. "Now what?"
"Now, you're going to make me waffles."
"What about Nathan?" He asks.

"He's getting pancakes with the new Audrey."
"Audrey? She's back?"
"Kinda. It's Paige now."
"Well let's go."
"No." You say. "You'll see Nathan later. I want waffles on the Rouge."
"The Rogue? It's still here?" You laugh.
"Is it still here. Of course it's here. Duke you've only been gone for a month." You take his hand. "Come on. Bye guys!"
"Good to see you Duke."
"You too Sasquatch."
"Leaving your friends for a boy." McHugh raises his eyebrow.
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
~
You step out of Duke's bedroom and see him cleaning the dishes from the waffles.
"You know, I now understand your appreciation for oversized sweaters." You walk over to him in your underwear and his sweater and wrap his arms around his shirtless body from behind, kissing his back. Duke sighs at the touch of your lips on his skin. He turns around.
"It looks good on you." The two of you wrap your arms around each other and he kisses your head. "You were hesitant when we were doing it at first. Are you still not sure it's me?"
"No. It's not that. It's just... I had to remember that we were having sex for the first time without my Trouble. I was always scared that if it got too good, I might accidentally teleport inside you or something."
"Ew." He shakes his head. "But now you don't have to worry about that anymore."
"No. Thank God." You close your eyes and rest your head on his chest. "I am so happy you're here Duke. It hasn't been easy without you." He holds you tighter.
"Let's get away."
"Away? Where?" He shrugs.

"Anywhere we want. We just stay on the Rouge and sail."
"Live here?"
"Why not. There are no more Troubles, Nathan has Paige, Dwight has Lizzie and Haven is back to being a normal town."
"What about the Gull? You don't want to rebuild it?" You ask.
"Someone else can do it."
"I think you should rebuild it." He looks at you. "It's a hot spot in Haven and it'd be nice to make some legal money. You can't be a pirate forever."
"I'll think about it. About sailing away, if you don't think it's a good idea—"
"No, no. It's fine. I've been in Haven all my life. You know that. It would be nice to see something else."
"And you get to look at this face the entire time." You kiss his cheek.
"That's a great bonus."
"Now can we go see Nathan?" You sigh.
"Sure. Let me just throw something on." He looks you up and down.
"But then again... why rush? We're not going anywhere anytime soon." You kiss him deeply.
"Damn straight."
