Ben Miller x Reader
You take a deep breath before opening the door to the locker room and you see the guys standing around in a circle, congratulating Ben on his MMA win.
"Are you all done measuring your dicks?" You ask, grabbing their attention.
"Holy shit." William says. "Y/N." He's the first to greet you with a big hug followed by Santiago, Redfly and Catfish.
"It's good to see you guys." You look over to the corner. "Hi Benny."
"We'll see you outside bro." Ironhead says.
"But I wanna watch..." Catfish says as William pushes him out of the room with Redfly and Santiago behind them.
"Why didn't you tell me you were here?" You chuckle.
"Oh come on Benny you know the drill. I don't tell you that I'm here that way you can focus on the match."
"Did you ever think that maybe me knowing helps me focus?" You shrug.
"Can't have you distracted."
"You could never distract me." He takes the tape off his hands and wipes a towel across them. "How long are you in town?"
"For good."
"So that means your mom..."
"Yeah. She's uh not doing too well." You say, your voice slightly breaking.
"I'm sorry." He takes you in his arms and all the memories come rushing back. All the dates, his smile, his laugh, his touch. It all flashes before your eyes. "I missed you." He whispers in your ear.
"I know." He pulls away and you look up at him.
"What are you doing?" He asks you.
"I don't know. You?"
"This." He wraps his arm around your waist and lightly yanks you closer, causing you to gasp slightly. His other hand comes up and rests on your cheek before he leans in and presses his warm lips to yours. Your bag slides off your shoulder and onto the floor. You wrap your arms around his neck and the two of you two kiss as if the world is ending.

"I missed you too." You say back. Benny lifts you up and pins you to the lockers and his lips trail down to your neck, your fingers running through his hair. Your phone rings and the two of you stop. You reach into your back pocket and see the caller ID. "It's my mom." You sigh "I have to go." Benny carefully sets you back down on the floor.
"This isn't over." He says.
"Not by a long shot." You kiss him one last time and grab your bag before leaving. Benny sighs and flops down on the bench.
"You alright little bro?" William asks when he comes back in.
"No. No I'm not alright. Y/N is back man. And I just agreed to go hunt down this drug lord in the jungle."
"You backing out?"
"No man. I just... When she came in, I realized how much I missed her."
"She broke your heart when she left." William reminds his brother.
"I know. She didn't have to come here but she did."
"Are you sure you want to reopen this wound?"
"I've wanted this since she left and now that she's back... I can't lose her again. I love her."

Lost In Translation
If you're one to travel the roads, you may have heard of me. You may have heard my Names in the stories, the songs, and the whispers of the road. Perhaps you've even seen me during my travels, speaking to a bird of blue light, or on a city street, performing small acts for coin and repute. Or perhaps you may know me as the Skystrider, who walked with the wind. Or the Voiceless, a man of song without speech. You may know me as the Tutor, who taught the Lion of Summer how to fight, or the Traveler, who has walked all the roads of the earth. I am all of these things. And people have branded me a myth. But people don't understand what a myth is. They haven't heard the songs lost to our tongues, nor have they seen the things I've seen. They haven't gone to the places I've gone. My feet have walked the plains, the seas, and the clouds. I have spoken languages unspoken; tongues lost to time. I have sung to the earth, held the moon in my arms, and walked the roads that your heroes hesitate to even mention. I have outwitted Demons. I have danced with the Fae. My songs have been heard by lords of wind and ash, and my steps have echoed in the bellies of gargantuan beasts the likes of which you have never seen. These are what real myths are. And me? I'm no legend. I'm just the bard stupid enough to poke the real ones with a stick. Discord link here. [Disclaimer: Book 1 of this story will likely be published in KU by around the start of 2022, so please keep that in mind. Book 2 and onwards will continue here until they are published as well.]

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.
