《Cinder x Male Reader: Volume 2》Lightning

It's been a few days since the attack. None of our soldiers or spies have seen anything or anyone that could cause trouble. Either way, this little "uprising" feels different than the others, they're actually taking effect and killing some of our soldiers.
Watts isn't able to find anything, and neither is mom flying around as a raven. They're hidden which is smart but a nuisance for us. The longer they're alive, the more people that are going to join them.
Anyway, other than Vale every other kingdom is a lot more peaceful.
Mercury Pov
I was sitting with Sapphire in our throne room, working on my legs when someone burst through our doors. He kneeled at the entrance and was panting heavily.
"I-I have news... of the rebels" He said dragging his feet towards us.
"What? Well, speak up!" Sapphire yelled at him.
"Their is a camp just a few miles east of here. Their is supposed to be a meeting for all the leaders, we could crush them right there and end this now" he said regaining his breath.
"Very well. Get a group of soldiers ready, and contact Y/N, he'll want to do this himself" I said looking at our military leader. "Well done, James. You've earned a few days off" I said patting him on the back.
After they left, Sapphire turned towards me and walked to me.
"See, dear? Nothing to worry about. We'll be laughing about this in a few days" she said then pecked me on the lips.
Y/N Pov
Apparently a camp has been found and is run by the summer maiden. I'm walking along the dirt path with a group of about 50 soldiers, as we neared it's location.
"Alright I see the camp... everyone spread out into the trees and stay hidden" I said as they all gathered around me. "We will charge them on my signal" I said as they nodded and all went into position.

The camp was almost like mom's. Pretty small but probably a lot of people in it, as I see three smoke trails, probably from campfires.
I crept up slowly behind a rock and hid, looking out to see my soldiers ready to advance. They were all looking at me, waiting for my signal.
Aaaaaaandddd GO. I thought as I gave them the signal and began to run in the camp.
As I turned the corner of the walls, I saw... it was empty? I looked around even further and saw a tent that looked much different than the others. I figured it must've been the leaders. I slowly walked towards it but then noticed something. Where are my men?
I looked around only too see my soldiers surrendering to people with guns behind their heads. They looked very scared as I was angry.
"Well well well. We have a visitor it seems" A girl said as she walked out of the tent. She was a wolf faunas with black wolf ears and tail. Her hair looked almost like a flame pattern but, was red and white. Her blood red eyes stared me down as she held up her hand.
"Don't kill them, not yet" She said as her troops seemed to ease up on my soldiers. "Y/N Branwen, do you have any idea who I am?" She asked stepping forward to me.
"Someone that's causing me a lot of trouble" I said as she stopped and put a hand on her hip.
"Correct, But I have a name. It's Lightning" She said as I instantly recalled the name. I wanted to charge her and kill her but, seeing as though I'm highly outnumbered, I thought best not to do that.
"So, you're the one that's leading this little... ragtag group of rebels" I said smirking.

"Right again. Do you understand the pain you've caused me? The suffering you've brought my family?" She asked walking around me.
"No, and I don't care. Now let us go... or you'll all die" I said making them laugh. My soldiers looked at me as if I were crazy but they didn't see Mom perched on a tree branch. She was in her bird form so, it wasn't obvious she was there.
"And what do you think you can do against us? What could you possibly think of?" She said as I saw Mom flying in.
"Kill you" I said charging at her as she shot Lightning blasts at me but I dodged each of them. Mom flew in killing as many soldiers as she could, although she couldn't save many of ours.
Mom used her maiden powers to burn most of them alive, and then freeze the others. While I was fighting with Lightning, she used a katana that blocked my strikes, while also shocking me. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm no match for her, I could tell that in almost an instant. I didn't have help from mom because she was killing everyone else.
"You're time is winding down Y/N. Soon, all of Remnant will be free, for everyone" she said then kicked me down to the ground.
"Freedom is chaos, with us you have order and peace" I said as she scoffed.
"Peace? You killed my family!" She yelled.
"Sorry for leaving you out" I said standing back up and punching her, sending her back.
"RETREAT" She yelled as most of her troops ran away with her. Mom ran up to me as soon as Lightning retreated.
"Should we go after her?" She asked.
"No, we'll kill them all eventually, at least we know now who we're working with." I said walking over to some of the bodies that Mom froze.
"Unfreeze these and have a public execution to demonstrate what will happen if you join them" I said to what few Soldiers I had left. I'd say around 15
"As you wish" they said walking up to the frozen bodies, and began to thaw them using dust.
