《Namasté (Jerrie)》Chapter 11

Jesy and Leigh smirked to each other as they pulled up to the farmhouse where their best friends resided. Today was a special day. Jade and Perrie had recently received fantastic news after three years of hardcore IVF treatment. They'd made the decision to have Jade carry their child first then if further down the line they decided to have more children - Perrie would carry for them.
With Skyla at the blossoming age of 6 years old the news of a successful pregnancy on the horizon meant the world to not only Jade and Perrie, but Jesy and Leigh too. The child had wished for years for a sibling to play with, to teach basketball to and to share her horse with. She'd understood that her mothers could not make babies like a 'normal' set of parents that had a father in the mix.
Skyla opened the door to her Aunties, a cheeky grin on her face as she did so. She raced to them and Jesy put her over her shoulder, tickling her as the child squealed in excitement. She was soon passed to Leigh, who simply rubbed her nose lovingly against the 6 year old's, just like always as it was of course their special greeting for each other.
"Mammy and Mama are putting my basketball net together for me out the back Auntie Lee-Lee! Do you think Uncle Jordan will play with me?"
Leigh felt her heart pump slightly harder as it swelled at the child's love for her newly wedded husband. They'd been married for less than three months, the Edwards child being her flower girl whilst her Mothers, Auntie Jesy and Leigh's sister Sairah were her bridesmaids. Skyla had really taken to her Uncle Jordan and Uncle Jake. They were the main two male figures in her life. Sharing a strong love for basketball with her Uncle Jordan was a beautiful pleasure for her Mothers and Aunts to witness. If the brunette child wasn't talking or playing basketball, she was singing and dancing, or acting with her Uncle Jake and his father Shane.
They walked through the house - following the path 100 yards forward as they walked out into the garden. They stopped halfway up, Leigh transferring Skyla from one hip to the other, the two women in awe at the scene that was being painted out infront of them as they slowed. Perrie was standing infront of Jade, a basketball placed delicately between their stomachs - Jade's pertruding belly curving out perfectly as it tried to keep the ball between them - their hands intwined as their lips parted for each other.

Between the two friends, they'd watched the two women come so far. They'd witnessed Jade become a punch bag, her life dwindled down to nothing but being a slave, controlled by a condesending man, although man was not accurate as a description of him.
They'd then watched her grow again, back to the woman she had been born to be. The woman her mother had wished for her to become. She regained strength, but more than she'd ever had before. She felt love first hand as a blossoming friendship between herself and Perrie began when her caring heart took her in. They'd stayed noble and down to earth when money came their way. Then at the sacrafice of an aching heart, she agreed to stay by Perrie's side and travel to South Shields, the place where her mother had passed, to bring home a child, biologically Perrie's half-sister, now their beloved Daughter. Perrie was Jade's world. She'd supported Jade through tough times. They'd lost two babies whilst trying to extend their family. She'd stuck to her wedding vows, not leaving Jade's side as she had to give birth to a tiny infant that would never grow, never take his first steps, never say 'Mama' or 'Mammy' like his big sister, Skyla. Instead they put their lost son, Teddy, to rest and remembered him through a designated wooden swinging seat in the garden, where Skyla could swing with him, a golden plaque on the swinging bench, just like Magic's. Now they were embarking on the courageous decision to try yet again, becoming more successful by the day as Jade's stomach grew, as her womb provided shelter for a new life - a new Edwards.
"Jesy, Leigh! You're 30 minutes late!"
Jade giggled and slapped Perrie gently as she walked down the path to greet the women, her daughter pressing her hands gently to her belly and giggling as she kissed it twice.
Perrie followed her, hugging them as she wrapped her other arm protectively round her Wife, winking at their daughter as she giggled, her bright eyes sparkling.
Jade ushered everyone to the living room, the smile not leaving her face as she did.

"Where are your men? We can't tell you until Jake and Jordan are here too!"
Perrie giggled as her wife sighed, exaggeration dripping through her body language as she flopped on the couch - Skyla crawling onto her and singing loudly at her - Disney songs to be exact, making Jade's heart burst with pride yet again, as it did with nearly everything Skyla did.
"Sky babe - Mam loves it when you sing by why don't you sing in your Aunts' ears, not mine."
Skyla giggled and shook her head, telling her mother that she wanted to sing to her, because she knew she enjoyed it so much, making the other three women howl with laughter as Perrie simply groaned but leant forward, kissing her daughter's forehead. After an hour of goofing around, the voices of two men could be heard entering the front door at the other end of the house. Skyla squealed in delight as she hopped off her Auntie Jesy's lap, running to find her beloved Uncles. She sooned returned, pulling them by their arms much to the amusement of the four women on the sofa. They said their hellos and Skyla begged her Mothers to reveal their surprise. Jade stood and walked out of the room, soon returning and sitting on Perrie's lap. She ushered Skyla to them and put her arms round her as they looked at the two couples, their best friends.
"Okay so... We had our 20 week scan yesterday... You know what that means right?"
They nodded excitely, wanting to know already.
Perrie cleared her throat and smiled, putting cheshire cats to shame. She whispered in Skyla's ear, asking her to pass the two couples a bag each. They were instructed to open the bags - pulling out two babygrows, one pink and one blue, leaving them confused. The three Edwards ladies giggled at their friends' confusion and Jade shook her head.
"We recieved a little surprise during the scan... It turns out Skyla will be having a baby brother AND a baby sister... I'm pregnant with TWINS!"
Hugs and tears of joy were shed, laughter echoing through the large house as the excitement flowed. It wasn't until Skyla stood on the coffee table that it died down, all eyes on her.
"Mammy and Mama and I still have something to tell you..."
Jesy cocked her head to the side in confusion.
"And what is that, Little Princess?"
Skyla looked at her mothers and they smiled, nodding to her as she took off her hooded jumper - using it to shield her top.
"There's another present in the bag..."
Leigh and Jordan, and Jesy and Jake tore the paper from a frame each between the couples. It held a photograph of Skyla to the left and an ultrasound of two babies to the right. They all cooed over the photos before looking up at Skyla, whose top was now visible. On a pink and blue polkadot short sleeved top, in black bold italics read, .
Jade felt complete as she watched the scene unfold infront of her, a hand on her stomach as her two babies kicked at, joining in with the chaos that was erupting beautifully.
She silently sat back, reciting her vows to Perrie in her head. It was her mantra. Her power.
'My soul honours your soul. I honour the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honour the light, love, truth, beauty & peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.'
"Hey Pez?"
"Yeah, Jadey?"
"Namesté..."
