《Namasté (Jerrie)》Chapter 4

Jade had been doing what she did best in a kitchen all morning - baking loads of different goods. She'd sent Perrie off to check out all the land that had come with the house when she bought it. As she finished icing the cupcakes, the kitchen door flew open and a flustered looking Perrie rushed in, peeling her gloves away from her long, slender fingers. Jade chuckled as she watched Perrie's eyes twinkle. There was something about her that amused Jade. She thought maybe it was her childlike behaviour.

"You alright there, Pez?" She asked her as she smirked. Perrie nodded her headed and eyed the cupcake - licking her lips slightly. Jade rolled her eyes and passed her a freshly iced one. Perrie giggled and thanked her.

"You didn't tell me you had paddocks... "

"You ride?"

"I mean, not recently. But I had a horse growing up in Shields. It was my Gran's to be honest, but she gave him to me as a present when Dad died. He was called Magic and when i rode him as a kid I used to pretend he was named after the magic carpet from Aladdin."

Jade laughed and shook her head, putting the icing down and brushing her hands on her apron as she put the kettle on. Perrie, whilst using her finger to remove icing from the cupcake and eat it, studied Jade's body. Her petite body. How she had slight curves and a rounded bottom that Perrie thought was complimented fantasticly by her skinny jeans. She removed her eyes and smiled to herself.

"Don't you have Magic anymore? Perrie?"

"Hmm? Oh, no. He was old. Bless him, he was 26 years old. I rode my Auntie's horse for her when she broke her hip but she sold him to a lovely family with a little girl back in September..."

Jade smiled sadly. She could see by the sad frown on Perrie's face that she had loved riding.

"Well... Maybe we could have a look into getting horses... I need to do something with those paddocks..."

Perrie looked at Jade as if she'd just won the lottery. Jade wriggled her eyebrows and smirked as she passed her a mug of steaming hot tea and placed hers on the kitchen island, leaning down on her elbows.

"Wait, you're serious aren't you?!"

"Pez... I told myself this year I was going to start a fresh, new life with my girls and now you too. It started with this place... But it's been lonely these last few weeks before you came. Now you're here and we might have only known each other 24 hours but look at us already. I've not felt this content and happy for so long... It's a breath of fresh air and as they say, When In Rome... Yeah okay... I don't know what they say you should do for that scenario but seriously, we've got paddocks and we need to get horses to fill them... Are you in?"

Perrie smiled sweetly. She wouldnt ever admit it to her but Leigh had actually filled her in on the recent happenings in Jade's life, just so she didnt bring up anything that might be a sore wound still.

"We need to clean the stables out and get a power washer in there.. But i can do that today. I just need a broom, shovel, wheelbarrow and power washer."

"Let's drink these then we can go to the farm warehouse. There's one not far from here that my Dad used to use for dog food."

Perrie squeaked with excitement and sipped her tea quickly, Jade following suit.

Perrie stormed through the door and slammed it behind her, running through the house and out of the kitchen door, leaving Jade, Jesy and Leigh stunned. Leigh frowned and stood from the stool she'd been sat on at the kitchen island however Jade placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I'll go."

Jade pulled her cardigan round her and walked to the door, opening it gently and silently closing it, a huge contrast to Perrie's actions. Jesy looked at Leigh and spoke up.

"They're really close aren't they? I mean, she's buying them horses."

"I'm not surprised that they're as close as they are, I mean, it's been a month since Perrie moved in. In fact, I don't think I've seen Jade or Perrie as happy as they are."

Jesy smiled dreamily. She saw the look in Jade's eyes when Perrie was mentioned or in the room. She loved that her girl was so blissfully unaware of her feelings for their friend. Leigh was just as oblivious, as was Perrie. But Jesy knew.

Jade sighed as she walked across the field and along the path between two of the paddocks that lead to the stables. They hadn't got the horses yet. They wanted to take their time with picking the perfect ones. However Perrie had spent her free time doing up the stables and they looked like a horse's paradise. As she reached the yard in the middle of the stables, she found Perrie. She was sat on the wooden bench that they'd bought and put together themelves. Jade had surprised her the next week and had Jake put the gold plated memior on it in rememberence of Magic. She sat next to her on the bench, not saying a word. Perrie soon moved and rested her head in the crook of Jade's neck as she cried softly. Jade rubbed a warm hand up and down her back as the other held her tightly to her. She kissed her temple sweetly and sighed.

"What is it, Perrie?"

"Jade... I lost it... My job... They found a better suited candidate and forgot to inform me..."

"Perrie... Perrie, look at me..." She waited for Perrie to look at her before she wiped away the tears and carried on.

"Let it go okay? You're too good for them..."

"Jade... What am I supposed to do? I needed this job... I can't get my own place if I don't have a job..."

Jade frowned as she played with Perrie's hair, tucking it behind her ear.

"Good. I don't want you to move out... I want this to be your permenant home..."

"But I still need to pay for things like giving you rent and for food-"

Jade smiled sweetly, she loved how thoughtful Perrie was. She wasn't wanting a job to be able to buy herself nice things but to be able to fund her living with Jade.

"You don't need to give me rent or money for food. I have more than enough money that I don't need to be worrying about little things like that... Hey, how about we go run you a hot bath and you can come watch Disney movies in my room with me... I'll order us some pizza...?"

"Okay, thanks Jadey... You're the best..."

Perrie leant up and kissed her cheek. They sat there for another minute or two before Perrie sighed and stood up, locking her hand with Jade's as they began walking towards the house. Perrie looked across the fields whereas Jade was thinking about what Disney film her blue eyed blonde would decide on.

"Jadey how'd you know where I was?"

"You'd gone to Magic... You told me you used to go ride Magic when you were upset or down..."

Jade scrunched her nose up and stuck out her tongue, setting Perrie off into a fit of giggles. They exchanged strange faces, cracking each other up, not expecting Jesy and Leigh to still be here until they found them sipping wine at the kitchen island, Jesy cooking a curry. Leigh turned the music streaming into the speakers down from her phone and Jade grinned at them as she placed her hands on Perrie's hips, guiding her to sit on the stool before pouring them wine too.

"Oh Pez, a letter came for you when you guys were out there. We had to sign for it so that they didn't take it to the mail office." Leigh passed her the letter and Perrie frowned. She wasn't expecting any mail and signing for mail normally meant it was important. She opened it carefully and read it slowly, leaving the girls in silence as she did.

"Holy Shit..."
