'We should go home,' Perrie said, finally breaking the silence that kept the girls suspended in time. 'We've had a busy day.'

'Agreed,' Jesy replied, and was the first to drop her hands to her side, breaking the hand-holding circle.

'The sooner I get in bed, the better,' Jade commented, then headed for the door. Before they could leave, a voice from the curtain stopped them.

'Girls, you're back so soon?'

The girls turned - it was Alicia. She appeared tranquil, and greeted the girls with a smile. The girls were too speechless to reply; a mixture of fear and confusion kept them silent.

'You only came in an hour ago to cast that love spell, did you forget an ingredient?'

'Love spell?!' Leigh-Anne shouted in shock.

'You girls are acting strange,' Alicia said with narrowed eyes. 'Did something go wrong with the spell? Has it made you lose your memory? Some spells can have that effect if cast incorrectly.'

The girls looked at each other, seeing them in the same outfits they wore the night they cast Black Magic. It had been hard to tell due to the barrier of tears that kept them from seeing properly.

'We haven't cast the spell yet...' Jesy observed, looking at her pyjama top.

Leigh-Anne's hand dived into her pocket for her mobile phone. 'If we haven't cast the spell yet, that means...' She found Gary's number in her phone and called it. It rang, and rang, and for a moment, her hope faded.

But, before she put the phone down, Gary picked up. 'Leigh-Anne, look, I'm sorry for snapping at you but you have to admit, this situation between us has gotten a little crazy.'

'GARY!' Leigh-Anne cried. She didn't care that they were supposed to be in the middle of an argument, she was just happy that he was alive. The other girls laughed and hugged one another at the news. 'I'm coming 'round. I don't care if you say no, I have to see you. I am so sorry about everything, please let me explain in person.'

Gary hesitated. 'Fine,' he finally said. 'But can you bring something to eat? There's nothing in.'

Leigh-Anne laughed. 'Yes! Yes, I will!'

She put the phone down, looked at her girls, and they hugged yet again.

'We reversed the spell!' Leigh-Anne cried. 'Gary is alive!'

'But there's a few things that aren't so good,' Perrie said, looking at Alicia. She lowered her voice so only the girls could hear. 'She doesn't yet know we know about her involvement with Eliza.'

'Which means Blaine is out there too,' Jesy noted. 'But fortunately he doesn't know that we know either.'

'Eliza will still be in her coma,' Jade pointed out. 'But she will wake up, and when she does, we will be there for her.'

'The anti-bullying society,' Leigh-Anne said disappointed. 'I feel so responsible, we made so much progress, even Rachael turned a corner and admitted she was wrong.'

'She did?!' Jesy almost screamed in surprise. She looked at Alicia. 'Let's go, and sort out this bitch later.'

'Thanks for all your help!' Perrie yelled down. 'I'm sure you'll be seeing us again soon.'

Alicia waved at them. 'Don't be strangers, good luck with the spell.'

The girls exited the shop, vowing the next time they would go there, Alicia and her son would be in handcuffs, just like before. Now they had the upper hand.

At school the next day, instead of walking in after their overnight transformations like before, they walked in the way they should have - as themselves. Beautiful on the inside, as well as the outside, with absolutely no need to change anything.

They sat at a cafeteria table, watching as the boys they obsessed over resumed their usual positions at a table nearby, acting like fools.

'I can't believe I fell so hard that I would mess with witchcraft, just for that loser over there,' Jade sighed.

Jesy looked at Hughie. He smiled in her direction - though she was positive it was at someone else. He wasn't under a spell, so it had to be someone else, she thought. Her heart broke just a little bit more, but she knew it was for the best.

'Blaine makes me sick to just look at him,' Perrie said as she pretended to gag. 'I turned so ugly just for him. I feel so stupid.'

'Don't feel stupid,' Leigh-Anne told her. She hated to see her friends degrade themselves. 'If we didn't do what we did, we probably would have not made a difference in ourselves. We learned so much from what happened that we know how to make things right this time around.'

'How did things go with Gary?' Jade asked.

'Amazingly,' Leigh-Anne admitted with a smile that consumed most of her face. 'He was so confused why I was so happy to see him, but I explained that I knew I did wrong and that I don't love him romantically anymore, but as a dear, close friend. He started crying actually, and so did I. I tried to not let him know about the online bullying he was getting, because I'm not supposed to know that yet, but he knows I'm here for him. He knows that he has support and that's so important to him. It will save his life.'

Jesy held her hand, then heard Rachael shout the word 'lesbian' in the distance. She shot her a look. The biker girls were sitting near Rachael's table. If the spell hadn't reversed, they would have stood up for Jesy. Now, they barely bat an eyelid. The school had turned ignorant to the problems right in front of them again.

'Let's try again,' Jesy said as she felt herself mourn for the progress they made. 'Let's send out a mass email and invite everyone to the society. We did it before and I know we can do it again.'

'Everyone was under a spell last time though,' Jade said.

'We don't need a spell to get people to listen,' said Perrie. She looked around her at all the desperate students, some of them sitting lonely, head down, hoping to avoid any judgment or attention from the more popular students. 'We just have to use our voices - there's magic in that. True magic, not the supernatural kind.'

Leigh-Anne pulled out her laptop from her bag. 'Then let's do a draft, do exactly what we did before, but with a little more effort.'

The girls went to work on the cafeteria table, neglecting the food and unwanted stares from the most judgmental of peers.

'It's 8:15,' Jesy said as she looked at the watch on her wrist. 'We said 8.'

'Nobody has turned up, just like the last time actually,' Perrie remembered. 'We had to go to everyone separately. I don't even know anymore.'

Leigh-Anne looked at the doors of the auditorium with utmost hope. 'They'll come.'

They waited another five minutes. Every minute that passed, the more the girls' faces dropped in disappointment.

'We should call it a day, we will need to go to our form classes soon,' Jade told them as she stood up from sitting cross-legged on the stage.

'Wait!' Leigh-Anne said. 'The students are scared. They just need to know that we are here for them, that other people are there for them. They're sinking and they need to be comforted in the knowledge that we can throw them a lifeline.'

Leigh-Anne looked around on the stage. There were four microphones with a control panel nearby. She walked to them.

'Uhm, Leigh-Anne, what are you doing?' Perrie asked, following her to the control panel.

'If the students won't come to us, then we are going to go to them - through the school speaker system.'

Jesy gave a nervous laugh. 'Are you joking? We are going to talk to everyone in the school over the stereo? We will be laughed at!'

'We need to set an example that we aren't afraid,' Leigh-Anne told her as she flicked the switch. It connected the microphones with every speaker in every hallway of the school. 'Anyway, we aren't going to talk. We're going to sing.'

Leigh-Anne marched to the microphones and pulled one off. She waited for her girls to do the same. They were a little hesitant at first, but they sighed and did the same. They stood in a circle.

► 'We need to tell everyone that we are here for them.'

She turned on her microphone. A small echo could be heard throughout the school. Students in the hallways, the library, the cafeteria - everywhere - stopped when a small noise filtered through. Then there was a silence, until everyone heard the voice of Leigh-Anne Pinnock. She gained everyone's attention. 'This one is for my girls, too.'

'We are friends for life. Hold that deep inside. Let this be your drive, to survive...'

'I am here, and we'll always be together, no matter what,' Leigh-Anne told her girls. They all smiled and dropped their hands to their sides.

Suddenly, a faint noise could be heard in the auditorium. The sound got louder and louder. The girls looked to the seats in the auditorium. Dozens of students had gathered there while they were singing. The sound was their applause.

It took the girls by surprise - they were so involved in the song, in each other, that they didn't see that the entire room had been filling with hopeful students. They could see the smiles on their faces and the positive energy that bled through the room. The girls looked at each other, smiling with pride.

Once the clapping faded, the girls walked down from the stage to the nearest group of people. 'You all came,' Perrie said as she put her hand on the shoulder of Cheryl, the leader of the Bohemian society.

'It took us some convincing, but we appreciate the support and that there are good people in this school,' Cheryl told them. 'We feel really inspired by your song. It's so nice to see so much positivity embodied in you four girls. It really makes us think that change is coming.'

'We have the power,' Perrie told her, knowing she wouldn't remember the talk they had while the spell was in effect, but knew a more special, natural bond was now forming. 'We can make anything happen.'

Several members of the Drag society, not yet confident to wear the clothes they wanted to wear in public yet, stood near Jade. 'For some reason, we feel like we are already connected. Like maybe we already knew we could do this.'

'All it takes is some inspiration,' Jade told them. 'That one little push to feel confident enough to be exactly who you want to be.'

'So what should we call this anti-bullying society, then?' One of the biker girls asked.

The four girls looked at each other. They already knew a name that perfectly embodies everything good about what they stand for and the friendship they have. A word that represents equality, diversity, power and love.

Jade, Jesy, Perrie and Leigh-Anne all spoke in unison: 'The Mixers'.
