《Don't Forget You're Mine || Jerrie》31

It is early in the morning as Perrie walks into the dressing room. Jade, Jesy and Leigh-Anne are already busy getting ready for their interview on Good Morning Britain. For both Jade and Perrie, yesterday, the filming of the Hair music video, was still somewhat confusing. They knew they could be together now, but neither of them had the courage to actually act upon it. They were not close, but they were not avoiding each other either, which put them in a neutral, yet somewhat odd, place. Perrie, however, has decided to change that today.
She knows that she is the last one to arrive, and that she should let Adam and Aaron work their magic on her, though she cannot hold herself back from approaching Jade as she sees her. Aaron and Adam have just finished with Jade, and are setting up their equipment to treat Perrie. While they do so, Jade can see Perrie through the mirror. They are both smiling, and Perrie surprises Jade by putting her arms around her and hugging her from behind. She buries her face in Jade's shoulder before looking back up and looking right into Jade's brown eyes through the mirror.
"Hi baba," Perrie quietly says. She is aware of the fact that people from their team are watching, and that Jesy and Leigh-Anne are probably looking at them too; but since Jade has Jed now, none of this matters. No one would suspect that Jade, of all people, is cheating on her boyfriend.
"Hey," Jade replies with a shy smile. She was anticipating the moment when the barriers between them would break, but she did not imagine it would happen this soon, nor that way.
"I wanted to ask you if you want to go grab something to eat tonight, after rehearsal," Perrie proposes. "Just the two of us," she adds.
"Yeah," Jade hesitantly answers. "I'd like that a lot." She feels bad, because she knows that this could potentially hurt Jed a lot. He is already suspecting just a little bit, asking about Perrie too much for Jade's liking, although she knows she is probably just overthinking his attempt to be involved in her life. However, Jade does not feel bad for making plans with Perrie. She had said that she would choose her over anyone else, and she stands behind these words. That is truly how she feels, and she does not see a way that could ever change.
"I'll see you tonight, then," Perrie sweetly tells Jade before she lets go of her and walks over to the makeup chair. The interview starts about thirty minutes later, and the four women find themselves getting more and more delirious by the moment, due to lack of sleep.
"... We have like, a world tour this year," Perrie says. "We're going everywhere. We've got the UK and Ireland, then we've got Australia, and we're going everywhere!"
"Why on this tour you won't be behaving?" One of the interviewer asks Perrie.
"I know!" Jesy immediately answers. "She came up to me the other day and went, 'I'm going to be naughty on this tour," she continues, referring to Perrie. The surprise, and even cautious hope, is clearly visible on Jade's face.
"No no no! You could take that the wrong way," Perrie is quick to clarify. "I mean, like, on the last tour, I just got in my bunk, go to bed, I wouldn't go out, I wouldn't party or anything. But now I'm like… yeah," she playfully explains.

"You let your hair down, don't you?" Jade adds.
"Single Geordies along together! Single Geordies alone together!" Leigh-Anne chants as she takes Perrie's left hand and Jade's right one. She has seen the way Jade and Perrie have been acting around each other this morning, and is confident that they are just as close as they used to be, even though neither of them had said anything to Leigh-Anne.
"I'm not single," Jade quietly interrupts Leigh-Anne as she tries to hold herself back from laughing. It is only then when Leigh-Anne remembers that despite the way Jade and Perrie have been acting, Jade has a boyfriend. They have been together for about a month now, but it is easy for Jade's close friends to forget about that, since she rarely mentions him.
"It's just me now!" Perrie exclaims. After getting engaged and constantly being voted to be the first one out of the four women to settle down, never in a million years she would have imagined she would be the only single member of the group.
"It's just Perrie!" Leigh-Anne corrects herself as she bursts into laughter.
"My bad," Leigh-Anne apologizes, feeling embarrassed and amused at the same time. "Very new, very new here. I forgot. It's fresh," she continues.
The embarrassment is only eased when the second part of the interview begins, and the girls are asked to decorate pancakes. It feels silly, but it is exactly what they need right now.
Backstage, everyone is busy gathering their belongings as Leigh-Anne approaches Jade.
"I'm sorry about what happened out there," she quietly apologizes.
"It's okay," Jade assures her with a small smile. It was a bit embarrassing, but nothing she cannot handle. The fans already know that Jed and her are together, so it is not a big deal.
"I don't know what happened, I just… forgot about him," Leigh-Anne explains. "You don't talk about him much, do you?" Jade stays silent, since she has no idea how to answer this question. Leigh-Anne is absolutely right, Jade does not like talking about Jed, and therefore, does not do it often; however, that is not something she is willing to admit, let alone say it out loud. "Are you guys still together?" Leigh-Anne asks in a concerned voice when she realizes for how long Jade has been silent.
"Yes!" Jade replies, a bit too loud. She did not intend for her response to be so assertive, but as long as she is with Perrie, she cannot have anyone thinking that she is not with Jed.
"And you and Perrie?" Leigh-Anne asks. She does not have any bad intentions, but Jade feels as though she has been hit right at her Achilles heel.
"I don't even know myself," she mumbles while looking down. It feels like Sam is Jade's savior angel when she tells everyone to get in the car, and Leigh-Anne and Jade's conversation is interrupted.

That evening, it feels as though rehearsal is never-ending. The girls are excited about their upcoming performance at the Brits, but it is incredibly hard working so many hours a day. Claud tries his best to keep everyone focused, and promises that they will get to go home soon. Perrie appreciates his efforts, so she keeps up although she is exhausted. The thought of the dinner she has planned with Jade gives her something to look forward to, and she smiles just thinking about it. She sneaks a look at Jade, to see how she is doing, and is not pleased with the result. Jade seems unusually distracted and upset. She is doing the choreography, but checks her phone every chance she gets, and even looks a bit angry.

"What's wrong?" Perrie quietly asks Jade after stepping a little closer to her.
"Huh?" Jade replies. She is surprised by Perrie's concern, and needs a few more moments to understand what she is being told. Perrie repeats her question, then Jade answers with a distant 'nothing'. Perrie's eyes stay on Jade, since she is not satisfied with the reply even a bit. She can easily tell that something is off. "Jed's asking when I'll be at his apartment tonight, and I… I don't know. I don't think I want to go. It feels wrong," she finally explains.
"You don't have to go to his apartment," Perrie is quick to assure Jade. "You always have yours to come back to, and he doesn't get to decide where you spend the night."
"I mean, yeah, but it's just that he's leaving really soon, and we probably won't see each other for a few months. I know he'd rather spend most of his time here with me, and it's hard when I don't feel the need to do the same," Jade elaborates. She looks at Perrie, waiting for her response, but her blue eyes indicate that a reply will not come soon. Jade thinks to herself what the hell was she thinking, talking with Perrie about the troubles of her relationship with Jed. "I'm sorry, I really shouldn't be telling you all of these things. I know it's hard for you anyway."
"It's okay," Perrie says, but Jade has no choice but to disagree. She remembers just how much she hated hearing about Zayn's horrible treatment towards Perrie, and cannot even imagine what Perrie feels like hearing about Jade and the way she feels about Jed.
"It really isn't," Jade quietly replies. "I'll talk about it with Jesy, or Leigh, or Danielle. Maybe even Holly and Sam if we find the time. But you don't have worry about any of this, okay?" She tells Perrie and smiles. It is one of those smiles Perrie simply cannot stay indifferent to, and since Jade knows it, it is exactly why she uses it. Perrie forgets that she was even a little upset and moves on from the topic of Jed.
"What if we go to a hotel room and spend the night there, does that sound good? You could just tell him you're too exhausted to travel anywhere right now, and that you're staying somewhere close," Perrie suggests. She would invite Jade to her own place instead, but her house is a mess, since she will be moving out soon.
"I don't know… We really don't get to see each other often at all," Jade replies in an uncertain tone. Perrie, however, is not ready to give up just yet. Although a dinner would suffice, there is nothing she loves more than late night conversations with Jade. Perrie simply continues staring at Jade, giving her that one specific look she knows that Jade finds adorable. Jade's heartbeat quickens at the sight of Perrie's single dimple, and she knows that there is no point in objecting any more; she cannot say no to Perrie. "Okay," she quietly agrees with a shy smile.
"Thanks, babe," Perrie says and quickly leans in to kiss Jade's cheek. Jade is left blushing, and tries to focus back on rehearsal and the dance in order to hide it. Perrie seems to take on the same strategy, and the two cannot help but sneak quick looks at each other every few seconds. Jade is having way too much fun with Perrie, she knows that, but does not want to stop at all.
As soon as rehearsal is over, Jade and Perrie say quick goodbyes to everyone and hurry out of the studio. It feels like they owe explanations to their bandmates, but neither of them feel like giving out any right now. Once they are out of the building, Perrie takes Jade's hand and leads her to the cab that is already waiting for them. They agree fairly quickly on which hotel they will be spending the night at, since Perrie insists that room service there is the best in London, and Jade does not really care where she is as long as she gets to spend time with Perrie. Due to price not being considered, the two women get the keys to their room shortly afterwards.
Perrie collapses on the bed with a wide grin on her face. She is laying on her back, and suddenly becomes overwhelmed with happiness. She will get to perform at the biggest award show in the UK alongside her three best friends in two weeks; her career is going so well it is almost scary. And the best part of it all is that she has Jade by her side. Jade lies down next to Perrie, and Perrie turns her head so that they are looking into each other's eyes. Jade giggles, since it almost feels silly how fast they have gone back to where they were a month ago. Perrie smiles before she kisses Jade's lips slowly, softly and patiently. In that moment she realizes that no matter how things between Jade and her are going to end, she will not ever be able to recreate the connection she has with Jade with anyone else.
"What do you want to eat?" Perrie quietly asks. She is so close to Jade that no more than a whisper is needed. Jade is unable to do anything but staring at Perrie with the same lit up expression. Perrie's eyes are everything, and complied with the playful grin on her face, Jade finds herself mesmerized. Perrie laughs as she sits up and reaches for the menu on the nightstand, then hands it over to Jade. "Pick something," she tells her in the same tone.
Jade briefly reads the menu, and can immediately tell why Perrie likes this place so much. It has all of her favorite foods, stuff that Jade does not usually eat.
"Can I get a cheeseburger from Shake Shack?" Jade asks and laughs. Perrie nods and grabs onto her phone. She places an order for two meals and dessert from Shake Shack through a food delivery app, then calls room service.
"Hi, good evening," she begins, making Jade giggle again for no real reason. "Can I please have Chicken Tikka Masala, Poppadoms and Creme Brulee?" She gives out the details needed and is even more excited about tonight after she hangs up the phone. They pass the time until the food's arrival making out and giggling into kisses. When a knock on the door is heard, Perrie walks over to receive her orders while Jade checks her phone. Two missed calls from Jed. She types out a quick text to let him know where she is, then puts her phone back down just when Perrie returns.
Hi, sorry, didn't hear the phone. I didn't feel like getting anywhere far so I ended up getting a room in a hotel nearby. I'm exhausted, I think I'm gonna go to sleep now. Nanite, see you tomorrow ❤️🌚
They sit on the bed and begin eating, fully knowing just how much the fans are probably freaking out right now. Both women forget they were even tired in the first place, and get carried into a light, fun conversation. They talk about today's events, and the interview this morning.
"You do know that they only let you win in the pancake competition because you're gorgeous, right?" Jade jokingly says. She cannot stop replaying that moment where the interviewers complimented Perrie's eyes with such awe, because no matter how beautiful these blue eyes seem to others, no one will ever know them the way Jade does.
"No they didn't!" Perrie replies and laughs before she puts another spoonful into her mouth. They continue arguing about this moment and laughing together for the next few moments.
"Hey Pez?" Jade says when it is quiet.
"Hm?"
"What did you mean when you said you weren't going to behave on this tour?" Jade asks. It was not something that exactly bothered her, but she still was quite curious about the meaning behind it.
"Well," Perrie starts, putting her spoon down. "I just think that when I was with Zayn, I felt, like, trapped. I loved him, but at some point, he stopped feeling the same about me. And I could feel it, and this feeling was with me whenever I went. I didn't see a point in having fun anymore, because all I could think of was him. So on the Salute tour, I was far from him, and it made everything worse, because even the little positive communication that we had stopped. And I mean… we were engaged. It just killed my mood, to be honest. And now I'm happier, and I'm much more carefree, so I want to go out again, even though I'm tired after two hours onstage. I want to have fun again," Perrie explains.
"I'm glad to hear that," Jade replies with a sweet, genuine smile.
"Do you know what makes me happy?" Perrie asks as she picks her spoon back up and continues to eat. Jade shakes her head, then Perrie points at Jade using her spoon. "You," Perrie says.
×××
"Pez," Jade says as she cuddles more into Perrie under their shared blanket. The alarm she has set last night has already gone off long ago, and Jed had already called once, but they are still in bed after not getting much sleep last night. "We have work today," Jade tries convincing Perrie, even though she herself does not want to ever leave this bed.
"Jeed, no," Perrie mumbles as she keeps her eyes closed. Jade has been awake for a while now, and she had already realized that neither of them have brought any clothes with her, which means they will show up to work wearing the same clothes they did for rehearsal yesterday. They are scheduled to do some filming today, so they have to make a stop at either Jade or Perrie's house to pick up some clean clothes. In order to do that and make it on time for the interview, they need to hurry up. Instead of making Perrie get out of bed, a strategy Jade knows is bound to fail, Jade tries something else. She leaves small, gentle, soft kisses on the back of Perrie's neck, on her head, ears and shoulders. She can tell just how much Perrie is enjoying it, and Jade can imagine that she is biting her lip right now. Right in that moment, Jade stops and gets out of bed. "Jade?"
"Hm?"
"What are you doing?"
"Just getting ready for work," Jade answers in a teasing tone.
"No," Perrie protests, dragging the word. "Get back in here, it was so nice."
"Pez, we can't show up to work wearing the same clothes we did yesterday," Jade tells Perrie as she puts a shirt on. "Do you want to come over and I'll get us both something to wear?"
"Yeah," Perrie replies as she sits up. She calls a cab, and an hour later, they are standing at the entrance to Jade's flat.

8 202The Blight
Ten years ago, the Blight appeared. A beautiful forest, where the leaves and animals glowed brilliantly at night. It became a wonder of the entire world, and people began venturing from across the continent to visit it. No one took it any more seriously than that, not in the beginning. Then the disappearances started. At first, it was just farm animals and pets. Then, hunters and travelers close to dusk. By the time children started disappearing from villages, it was too late to do anything. The Blight was spreading, from tree to tree like a sickness, crawling out in all directions. The animals and beasts inside it changed as well. They grew larger, stronger, and more ferocious than anything seen before. Simple farm animals became horrific monsters, distorted to disgusting proportions and violently spreading chaos out from the forest. When the first reports came in of infected animals dragging people alive off into the forest... then the real panic began. Towns fell to the Blight, then cities. Armies were sent to push it back, and were overrun. Heroes and legends ventured out, to no avail. Soon, it was public knowledge to all: Those who entered the forest, never returned. ...So what happens when a young boy comes out of the forest, carrying nothing but a dagger and remembering nothing but his own name?
