A/n: the second part of this chapter follows the events of September 21, 2015. On this day the girls did two interviews, one of them is up here (with Asos), and the other one was with Sugarscape. It is impossible to add more than one video, so just know that the Sugarscape interview is important for the plot as well, even though it is not up here. You can go watch it on YouTube, but it is so iconic I'm sure you know it by heart like I do.

Enjoy!

Perrie opens her eyes and stares into the darkness of her bedroom at her mother's house. After spending a few days in Denmark and then returning home, she is no longer jet lagged, yet cannot sleep. She stretches her hand to her nightstand, getting a grip of her phone and a familiar piece of paper. She turns on the flashlight on her phone, then uses it to light the piece of paper - Jade's list which she had promised to look into.

Ever since that day Jade had told her that she wants a relationship, many things have changed. When they were working, Jade acted like her usual self, but it was different as soon as the cameras turned off. Jade became somewhat distant, she would spend the nights in her own hotel room. It feels like old times, before the whole thing started in Sweden, and Perrie does not like it. She feels guilty for being the reason that Jade is upset. Perrie had had six full days off - she went to Disneyland Paris with her cousin Ellie, filmed her first makeup tutorial and is currently at her mother's house - she did so much, but was not able to truly enjoy it. Her thoughts keep wandering to how she hurt Jade, and to the list she is holding in her hands right now. She did not find the right timing to unfold it up until now, and even though they are going back to work in two days and she is running out of time, Perrie still does not feel ready to face whatever is written on this paper. It will make everything real, and she sincerely hopes it was all nothing but a dream.

Perrie takes a deep breath before unfolding the piece of paper and straightening it using her fingers. She finds three full pages of writing, all neat and organized. Perrie smiles lightly at how obviously perfect it is that Jade is the one who of this list. She reads the first two pages, titled PART ONE, rather quickly. It almost feels robotic, as every problem is presented with a solution, all flawlessly written.

Perrie feels like she knows to expect when she turns the page and gets to the next one, which carries the title PART TWO. However, the are very few words in this part, in contrast to the first two pages. Tears fill Perrie’s eyes as she reads Jade's honest fears and tries to answer them with reasonable solutions.

1. I'm terrified of getting hurt, the list says. Perrie is not sure how to respond to this. After thinking for a few moments, she brings the pen in her hand to the paper. I can't promise anything, but I will never do anything to purposely hurt you♡.

2. I never imagined my future family to be built with one of my bandmates, and it still doesn't feel right... This has no future on the long term. When Perrie is done reading these words, she feels like she should probably fold this paper again and return it to Jade without further reading. It feels private, and she is sure Jade never meant for anyone to read it, though she keeps reading. Perrie could not have worded this better - Jade and her have no real future. She simply writes I know... But we could have fun now♡.

3. When we're going to break up, I don't want to completely lose Perrie, the next line reads. Perrie would have liked to promise that nothing is going to change the fact that they are best friends, but knows that that might not be true. People change in relationships and after breakups, especially towards their ex partner. She does not know how to comfort Jade on this one, so she decides to leave it blank. She sincerely hopes that they will not continue to grow apart after this whole thing is over.

Perrie folds the list again, knowing she had fulfilled her promise to read it, but feeling like it confused her even more rather than clearing her thoughts. She is unable to calm her mind and sleep, so instead she opens Instagram on her phone. The first photo on her feed was posted by Jade, just a few minutes ago, and Perrie understands that Jade cannot sleep either.

Guilt takes completely over Perrie. She realizes that Jade misses her late at night, and instead of texting her, she probably stalked a random fan account. How did she let this happen? Why did she even start everything in Sweden? Jade and her are like distant friends right now, and it feels horrible. Perrie sighs in frustration before calling Jesy. She knows that Jade and Leigh-Anne have had quite a few heart to hearts lately, in which they probably talked about her. So she needs someone neutral, and Jesy is the immediate choice.

"Perrie," Jesy's voice is heard through the phone a few moments later. "Can you please explain to me what the heck you're doing awake at three AM?"

"You're awake too," Perrie replies.

"Oh, shut up," Jesy jokingly says. "What is it?"

"I, um... I need you to tell you something. But don't like, react badly, okay?" Perrie asks, unsure of herself. She needs advice from Jesy, and cannot do that without telling Jesy about the time Jade and her had in America.

"Go on," Jesy replies.

"I slept with Jade, when we were in America." She expects a response, but when none comes, she just keeps talking. "And the day after, she told me that she wants like, a relationship. She basically told me that she likes me. And I kind of freaked out and told her that it was a really bad idea, and now I'm still confused and just... I don't know. She's been so upset since then, I feel so bad for how I reacted." There are a few moments of silence before Jesy speaks.

"May I just say that everyone knew you two kinky little tinkers would eventually do the naughty naughty?" She says and continues talking before Perrie can reply. "I'm sorry that you feel guily, but that's how it is and if you're not into Jade that way, then there's nothing you could do but explain it to her nicely. She's going to move on, it's okay."

"No, but Jes, I can't see her like that. It's just so sad," Perrie tries to explain.

"I know, I've seen her too," Jesy replies. "But like I said, she's going to have to move on. You don't feel anything for her, do you? Romantically, I mean."

"I don't think so," Perrie answers, her words pronounced almost as a question. "Maybe I could give it a chance. Sometimes feelings come with time. I could go out with her for just a few weeks maybe and see how it goes. I think I'm not giving it a proper chance."

"Pez, I can't really tell you what to do, but whatever you do - please don't mess with Jade's feelings. Don't date her if you don't like that way. It's just wrong and it's going to make her much more upset than she is now."

"I won't," Perrie assures her bandmate. They go on to speak about their upcoming promotion tour, while Perrie becomes more and more confident in her thoughts. She decides that she is going to give Jade and her a chance.

Two days later, Perrie is already on another mentality. She now sees the whole thing with Jade as very simple - they will try being in a relationship. If she develops feelings for Jade, then it will happen and it is all good. If she will not, she will break up with her and that would be it. Jade would move on, it is far from the big deal she made it to be.

The four girls are sitting on a white couch, waiting for the interviewer to walk in and for the camera crew to set everything up. Jade and Perrie are in the middle, their thighs touching, and Perrie leans in towards Jade and whispers words in her ear.

"I promised I'd give you an answer," she says, and Jade's eyes are like awaken with anticipation and concern. "So we'll talk later, after work. Don't worry, it's good news." They both wear shy smiles as the interviewer enters and the cameras begin filming. During the interview, the girls go through Tinder with the interviewer. Jade had always found such interviews, in which they do not talk about their music at all, to be both strange and entertaining. She is not sure what to feel, and is quite anxious about her upcoming conversation with Perrie after work.

"Do you know what I need?" Perrie says, talking about relationships with the interviewer. "Someone that makes me laugh." She speaks without giving much thought to it, and this confuses Jade. If Perrie said 'good news', then that probably means she wants Jade, right? If so, then why is she talking about 'someone'? After a few moments of thinking, Jade comes to the conclusion that it is probably Perrie’s way of hiding her possible feelings towards Jade from the world. She is making it clear that she is single, so that no one will suspect Jade and her. Jade then begins using the same strategy.

"Yas Manuel, Yas!" Jade enthusiastcally says while looking at a guy's profile. She moves her gaze to Perrie feeling like they share a secret - that they are both pretending right now.

"I want his profile!" Perrie says and smiles. Jade hopes she is just exaggerating to make it seem real. Perrie continues reading from the interviewer's phone. "Up for some fun, not into vanilla!" She turns to look at Jade as soon as she pronounces these words, and they share knowing smiles and laughter. "What else? Mm Six foot one... Working in London, living in Central. Wow, Manuel has got a great bod." Jade agrees, gathering everything she had ever learnt about acting in the past.

When the interviewer asks for dating advice, Jade says what she had recently learnt the hard way.

"If you like them, stay back a bit," she says.

"Okay, so like, moral of the story. Do you think I need a boyfriend?" The interviewer asks, and the four girls disagree.

"I think have fun being single," Perrie replies, making Jade's heart race. Have fun. "Enjoy your time."

"Don't rush it, when it feels right it feels right," Jade advises. Shortly after, the interviewer jokingly asks if one of the girls would like to be her boyfriend.

"Yeah, I'd love to be," Perrie replies. Even though she knows that it is clearly a joke, Jade feels a bit jealous. In order to not let it show, she keeps playing along.

"I like redheads," Jade says, hoping that Perrie will be a little bit jealous as well.

The interview is over shortly after, and the girls are already meeting with another interviewer. He asks them to play a game called Love Me Like You, after their single, in which they need to say what they love about each other. Jade needs to speak about Perrie, and never in her life she had been more prepared to talk.

"What I love about Perrie," she starts. "I love, one, how incredibly beautiful she is, and she doesn't realize it. Her body is banging, her cherubs, her bum, they're both great."

"Thanks! She gropes them enough she'd know," Perrie says, making it sound like a joke. If only everyone knew how true it really is.

"I love how she doesn't realize how insanely talented she is. She's literally Beyoncé reincarnated into a blonde bombshell. She's very bubbly and she's like our little ray of sunshine. She's always happy, and she always lifts our spirits when we're feeling a bit down. And she's very passionate about the group. She always has a lot of faith in us, and I love that about her." She leaves out how soft Perrie is with her, her gentle kisses in the morning, the warmth of her body under the sheets, her mesmerizing blue eyes. She loves everything about Perrie. Jade could go on forever, but stops speaking due to the fear of making it all too obvious.

Perrie hugs Jade, and Jade wishes this could last forever. She feels loved and secured. Everything is right, she just knows.

Later that day, Jade and Perrie are facing each other as they sit on Perrie’s living room couch. They had a nice night in, cooking foods that taste like home, laughing, and talking about nothing. Jade understands that right now must be it, the moment Perrie tells her what she had decided. The seconds feel like forever as she waits for her bandmate to speak.

"Jadey, I read the list you made," Perrie finally begins. "I hate seeing you upset, and I'm sorry if I hurt you that day. But I thought about everything a lot, and I really think that this is worth a chance. We're probably not going to last on the long term, and it's going to be really hard to keep everything hidden and all, but maybe it could be the best thing we have ever done. So, Jade," Perrie pauses and smiles, then takes Jade's hands in hers. She looks into her brown eyes, finding both hope and anticipation in them. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes," Jade says after a moment of taking it in. There is no hesitance in her voice, only pure joy. She leans in to kiss Perrie, and when their lips touch she is filled with the most wonderful feeling. How different this is compared to just a few days ago in America. Jade makes sure to enjoy every second, as she knows that this relationship is going to end. The only question is how long it will take for reality to defeat them.
