**A year later**

Calliope POV;

Its been a year since my dad died. You know people always say that it'll get easier. They say that the longer they are gone, the easier it gets but I have found out that is far from the truth, and in fact it gets harder. Much harder. I find myself wanting to run to him for simple problems, and some not so simple problems and I can't because he isn't there. Arizona and I have been having some problems lately in terms of children. You see, I want kids. A couple. 2 or 3 to be exact, and Arizona doesn't want a single child. I should have asked her before I asked her to marry me, but I guess I just figured she wanted what I wanted. I was so caught up in love with her that I didn't bother to make sure she wanted the same things I wanted.

Arizona POV;

Callie has been struggling lately. Its been a year since her dad died but I have realized that things haven't gotten easier for her in terms of that. I feel like things have gotten harder for her, but I guess I haven't really been helping with that. We had a discussion the other day about children, and Calliope wants kids, but honestly I really don't. I've never looked at a tiny human and said 'man I cant wait to have one'. But Callie has. Callie wants kids, and we were so caught up in love when we met that we never bothered to talk about those things. We never talked about our stance on kids. I don't think it would have changed my mind, I stilll think that I would have fallen for her the same exact way I did. But anyways I feel like its time we sit down and really discuss it, and I feel like tonight when she gets home from work is the time.

Calliope POV;

I just got out of work, and I text Arizona to see if she wants dinner.

"hey love, do you want me to pick up any food on my way home?""hi babygirl, no I made us dinner. Just come home :)"

I'm trying to figure out why Arizona made dinner, Arizona doesn't cook at all, actually thats a lie, she cooks for 2 reasons, which means she either wants something, or she wants to discuss something. I pull in the driveway and walk into the house to the smell of something delicious.

"hiiiii baby" Arizona comes up to me and gives me a kiss

"hi? Whats going on? Why did you cook dinner, you never cook?" I said a little hesitant

"Whaaat? I cant cook something for my beautiful wife?"

I give her a look which she replies to with

"okay, sit down, we gotta talk"

Arizona POV;

Its now or never I guess, so I tell her to sit down and I set our dinner down before I sit down across from her.

"okay my love, we need to talk about something" I grab her hand from across the table and she looks at me and says

"yeah we do, listen, I've been thinking about this kid thing and if you really don't want one, we don't need to have one. I love you way to much to leave you over a child, so if its that important to not have kids, then we wont have any"

I'm speechless, how did she know I was going to talk about that? I then set down my fork and grab her other hand

"you know what? no, we are going to have kids because its extremely important to you, and I can tell its very important to you and I don't want you to try and shut out those feelings because of me. I will learn to love kids and maybe when we have kids of our own I will love them more, but we are not gonna just not have kids because of me. I love you and I know you will be a great mom and I will try my absolute best to be the best mom I can be"

I'm crying and so she is when she reaches over the table to give me a kiss.

"i love you with my whole entire heart. What did I do to deserve you?"

"no" I say with her face still in my hands "what did I do to deserve someone as amazing as you?"

Calliope POV;

The next morning we sit down again to discuss what we do from here. Do we adopt or do we have kids of our own or do we do both? After work I meet Arizona at a restaurant so we can talk about it.

We sit down and get to discussing and it doesn't take long for us to come to an agreement, we decide to adopt a baby, and maybe later on we will have kids of our own, but for now there are plenty of kids without loving parents so we will be their loving parents.

I really don't know what I did to deserve Arizona. Looking at her across the table im in awe of this beautiful woman I get to not only call my wife, but in six months a little girl or boy will get to call mommy. I thank my lucky stars for this amazing woman every single day but this past year especially, I really cant think of anyone else I'd want to have by my side. I cant wait to embark on this journey with her.

****SIX MONTHS LATER******

Arizona POV;

Its been six months, and its been quite the exciting six months, but its also been an exhausting six months. We started the adoption process six months ago thinking we were getting a babygirl, but come to find out we would be getting both a baby girl and baby boy.

I wouldn't change it for the world. These babies are the most beautiful perfect babies ever and I cant wait to be a mommy to them.

We both decided that we would each pick a name, I said I wanted to choose the name for the boy because I wanted to surprise calliope with naming him after her dad. So when we got to the hospital to meet our beautiful babies I took the birth certificate and wrote 'Carlos Torres-Robbins'.

Calliope POV:

What an exciting but yet exhausting six months. We've adopted 2 amazing babies, one handsome boy named Carlos, and yes he's name after my sweet daddy that died, and another beautiful baby girl named Angelica.

Arizona surprised me by naming our little boy after my dad, and it still touches me that she named him after my dad. I cant wait to watch him grow up and someday tell him that he's named after the most important man that was ever in my life. My dad would have loved to meet these babies and I'm absolutely devastated that he isn't around to meet them, but I know he is looking down and I know he will watch over these beautiful babies no matter what they do or where they go in life.

Later on that day Arizona and I decide to sit down and write a letter to them,

My sweet Angelica and my handsome Carlos, please never forget how loved you are not only by your mommies but by everyone else in our family and our friends. Never forget how amazing you are and how capable of amazing things you both are. Never be afraid to come to us. We are always here for you no matter what, wether you are in trouble or you just want to have a heart to heart we are both here for you. Don't let people bully you cause you have 2 moms. Don't let people walk all over you, don't let people talk down to you, don't let people treat you like you are less than because you are amazing and perfect and beautiful and worthy of love and worthy of happiness just as much as anyone else you come in contact with is. When you feel like you aren't loved or cared for or important or needed always remember that we need you, we love you, we care about you and you are SO important to us. If you ever feel like you're needing extra protection from this cruel world call your grandpa Carlos up. Even though he isn't here with us physically anymore just know that he's always with us mentally and emotionally and if you ever feel like you need some extra guarding just ask him for protection and he will watch over you. Grandpa Carlos will never leave our sides and neither will your moms. We are with you no matter who you become or where you go in life always remember you have a place with us. You belong here on this planet and don't let anyone tell you differently. We love you so much Angelica and Carlos and we hope you never forget that.
