"So any of you want to attend Shyra's concert?" Hardik asked, coming into the suite, all of the boys were in.
They all turned to look at me.
"What? If you guys want to go, then go." I shrugged.
"I really want to go. I mean, I'm a huge SHYRAITE." Rohit said, chuckling.
"What's a 'shyraite'?" Yuzi asked, confused.
"Shyra's fans are called SHYRAITES." Rohit said.
"But I checked for the tickets. The arena is sold out." He added.
"Woah. It's her first tour and a sold out already?" Shikhar asked him.
"Bro, this isn't her first sold out. She's had five sold outs in this tour." Rohit said.
"Okay, but Rohit, do you want to go?" Hardik asked again.
"I do."
"Good. So get ready, because we're going." Hardik said.
"How's that possible?" I asked.
"Natasa and Samantha are cousins, so." He shrugged his shoulders.
"How many passes do you have?" Yuzi asked.
"I can take as many people as I want." Hardik chuckled.
Everyone agreed on going, except me.
"Come on, Rahul, don't be such a spoil sport." Hardik said.
"I just don't want to meet her." I told her.
"It's okay, don't meet her, but just tag along."
"Fine."
*
We were given special seating arrangements, to the left of the main stage.
The screen lit up, starting a countdown from 10.
"3. 2. 1." The crowd erupted into cheers, when a video of Shyra played on the screen.
Suddenly, the screen went blank, with the lights of the stadium switched off.
Safari's tune started playing and the crowd went crazy.
The lights were back on, when Shyra entered.
She was wearing a white shirt with sleeves upto her elbow, tucked into a shiny skirt. A pair of silver stilettos to go with it. Her hair was left open, just the way I like it.
"Come on, boy, move that body
'Cuz tonight I'm naughty, naughty
Dance with me like it's my party
We go wild we're in Safari
We go wild we're in Safari."
The tune came on, as the background dancer danced, and she moved to the tune.
She completed her song, and looked around the arena.

"What's up, London!?" She screamed into the mic, causing all her fans to go crazy.
"Okay, first thing first, thank you so much for sparing some time, and coming here to watch me perform. It really means a lot to me." She smiled.
"I love y'all!" She shouted, and again the crowd went crazy.
"I would be complex
I would be cool
They'd say I played the field before
I found someone to commit to
And that would be okay
For me to do
Every conquest I had made
Would make me more of a boss to you"
She started singing her next song.
*
We were halfway done through the concert, with her singing, but mostly playing around with the fans.
She treats her fans like her family.
"Well that candy missed my mouth." She laughed.
There was a fan trying to aim a candy inside her mouth.
"Okay, this is your last chance." Shyra spoke.
"And I hope you throw only candy. And nothing else." She said slowly, causing the arena to go crazy at her words.
This time the candy landed in her mouth.
"Woohoo! We did it. Give me an air high five." She told the fan, smiling, doing the action.
"Okay, so getting back. The next song is really close to my heart. This is the only song which took me forever to write. This one's my debut single. Sugar and Brownies." She said, as the tune started playing in the background.
She then finished three more songs, and spoke into the mic again.
"Ah! Time for another set of emo songs." She chuckled, taking a guitar, and walking infront of the stage.
She set her mic stand, and spoke again.
"Could I request y'all to switch on your flash lights?"
When all of us did so, she asked the organisers to switch off all the lights except those on the stage.
"I don't hate you
No, I couldn't if I wanted to
I just hate all the hurt that you put me through
And that I blame myself for letting you
Did you know I already knew?
Couldn't even see you through the smoke
Lookin' back, I probably should have known

But I just wanted to believe that you were out sleepin' alone
Love me with your worst intentions
Didn't even stop to question
Every time you burned me down
Don't know how, for a moment it felt like heaven
Love me with your worst intentions
Painted us a happy ending
Every time you burned me down
Don't know how, for a moment it felt like heaven
And it's so gut-wrenchin'
Fallin' in the wrong direction."
Soon enough, she ended 'Wrong Direction', and started with 'Always Remember Us This Way'.
I hope she does not break down, this time.
Her eyes did get moist, but she didn't let the tears fall.
"When you look at me
And the whole world fades
I'll always remember us......"
She closed her eyes.
"......this way."
Tears slid down from her eyes, but she wiped it away quickly.
The entire stadium was quiet. I could hear people cry.
"You're a strong girl, Shyra. I love you!" One of her fans screamed.
Shyra chuckled, before saying, "Thank you, sweetheart. I love you too."
"Okay, so we come down to the last song of the concert. Before we begin, I wanna say a huge thank you again to all you beautiful souls for coming here. You guys mean the world to me. You guys aren't fans to me, you're my family." She said, as the crowd started cheering.
"So this song.." She laughed.
"I have some quite interesting memories with this one. Well, this song has broken many records, giving me some extra fame and attention, agreed. It did fetch me many awards, but it also costed me a lot. It costed me the love of my life." She smiled sadly, touching the ring hanging on her neck, as the crowd fell silent again.
"This one's Rock Bottom."
"What are we fighting for?
Seems like we do it just for fun
In this, this stupid war
We play hard with our plastic guns.
Breathe deep, bottle it up
So deep until it's all we got
Don't speak, just use your touch
Don't speak before we say too much.
You hate me now and I feel the same way
You love me now and I feel the same way
We scream and we shout
And make up the same day, same day.
Oh, we're on the right side of rock bottom
And I hope that we keep falling
We're on the good side of bad karma
'Cause we keep on coming back for more
We're on the right side of rock bottom
Into you, I just keep crawling
You're the best kind of bad something
'Cause we keep on coming back for more"
It was Joe's verse now, but as Joe wasn't here, I thought she'd be singing it.
But to my surprise- actually to all of our surprise, Joe Jonas entered the stage, singing his verse.
"You get under my skin
More than anyone's ever been
But when we lay in bed
You hold me hard 'til I forget"
People literally went crazy when he came onto the stage. They started screaming.
"That you hate me now and I feel the same way
You love me now and I feel the same way
We scream and we shout
And make up the same day, same day
Oh, we're on the right side of rock bottom
And I hope that we keep falling
We're on the good side of bad karma
'Cause we keep on coming back for more
We're on the right side of rock bottom
Into you, I just keep crawling
You're the best kind of bad something
'Cause we keep on coming back for more
Keep on coming back for more
'Cause we keep on coming back for more
What are we fighting for?
Seems like we do it just for fun
In this, this just stupid war
We play hard with our plastic guns
Oh, we're on the right side of rock bottom
And I hope that we keep falling
We're on the good side of bad karma
'Cause we keep on coming back for more
We're on the right side of rock bottom
Into you, I just keep crawling
You're the best kind of bad something
'Cause we keep on coming back for more
Keep on coming back for more
'Cause we keep on coming back for more
Keep on coming back for more"
Both Joe and Shyra ran off the stage.
"We keep on coming back for more."
Shyra sang the last line, probably from backstage.
"Goodnight, London!" She shouted into the mic.
And yet again, her fans went all out.

The Choice is Not Yours
Author's Note: (As of November 20, 2021) I rewrote all the chapters perhaps more than a year ago, but haven't announced that I did so. Because that kind of announcement would include something along the lines of, "I'm working on the story so expect new chapters!" But the truth is, I lack motivation to do anything. And I would hate myself if I broke a promise. I'm extremely sorry if you have been patiently waiting for uploads. These days, I've been studying, not well, but studying somewhat. I will definitely bring more to show, with regular uploads. If not this story then there's another story I've been writing that's really exciting to me. It's not exactly similar to this story since it has a male lead and he is a baneful asshole with even less morals. I hope you'll like it when it comes to existence. And I'll leave my announcement off with the aforementioned promise. Meet Amber, a tomboyish, unstable, and cheeky lass who likes to keep to herself. According to her, she'll live the rest of her life on auto-pilot mode, awhile holding onto the few things that make her remotely happy. However, she forgot that people never really leave you alone, be it humans or even the Gods. And exactly that happens, ending her monotonous life on such the Gods' whim. But at what cost to her? Will she be able to hold onto the things she holds dear? Or will she fail miserably and lose herself in the process? That's what the Gods want to know. Disclaimer: I do not own the cover photo.Warning: If you are easily triggered, I am not writing this novel for you.
