《HOME FOR MY HEART |KL Rahul Fanfiction|》13. Proposal.

Rahul will be here in thirty minutes and I still don't know what to wear.
I spent the next ten minutes rummaging through my wardrobe.
At the end, I settled on a black and white horizontal striped crop top, and a pair of black palazzo pants.
I brushed my hair, leaving it open. Applied some kohl, eye liner and mascara. I applied a shade of nude lipstick on my lips. I also changed my earrings, wearing silver loops and my watch.
I put on my black stilettos and carried my clutch and phone, and headed downstairs.
I saw Rahul sitting on the couch, speaking to mom and dad.
He was wearing a black button down shirt with rolled up sleeves, and a pair of black jeans and white sneakers.
The boy looked hot.
All of them turned to look at me, thanks to my stilettos making some noise.
As I reached the last step, Rahul was already on his legs. He hugged dad and mom, bidding them goodbye before walking towards me.
"Shall we?" He asked me, smiling.
"We shall." I smiled.
"Bye mumma, bye papa. Take care." I said, before heading out.
Soon enough we were in Rahul's car, driving to where ever he was planning to take me.
"So, where are we going?" I asked him.
"For dinner?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Stop playing games and tell me." I rolled my eyes.
"You look gorgeous." He stated.
"Thanks. You look hot too." I said.
"Now, tell me where we're heading to?" I asked again.
"You'll see baba." He chuckled.
"Rahul." I groaned.
He chuckled, not forgetting to wink at me.
"Okay, so we'll take an hour at the max, so how about you sing for me until we get there?"
"An hour? But I'm super hungry. Okay can we please take away some fries from that McDonald's and then I'll sing okay?" I gave him my best puppy eyes, pointing at the McDonald's ahead.

"Okay, fine." He laughed.
He took the drive through, ordering a large fries, and two McCafès.
While we were getting our things, the man seemed to recognize us.
"Rahul sir and Shyra ma'am!" He gasped.
"Hi!" I grinned at him.
"Can I please get a picture?" He requested.
"Sure. Go ahead." Rahul smiled.
The man clicked a selfie standing at his window.
"Thank you so much!" He said.
"Byeee!" I waved at him, before Rahul drove away.
"You love meeting fans, huh?" Rahul asked, sipping his McCafè.
"You could say so. I mean, whatever I am today is because of them." I shrugged, munching on my fries.
"You know, you're very cute." He chuckled.
"Is this supposed to be a compliment or what?" I laughed.
"It's a compliment, obviously!" He laughed along.
"I got you fries, so now sing for me." He said.
"Which song?" I asked.
"Uhm.. Hasi from Humari Adhuri Kahani." He said.
"Kya khoob rab ne kiya,
Bin maange itna diya,
Warna hai milta kaha,
Hum kaafiro ko khuda.
Hasratei ab meri, tumse hai jaa mili.
Tum dua ab meri aakhri ban gaye.
Haa hasi ban gaye,
Haa nami ban gaye.
Tum mere aasmaa,
Meri zameen ban gaye.
O..... Aa...." I sang, looking at him the entire time.
"You have a soothing voice, you know. Whenever I'm in a bad mood or in tension, I'm going to call you right away and ask you to sing." He laughed.
I laughed along, hitting him on the arm.
Soon enough our McCafès and my fries were done.
I sang three more songs before we reached, Hornby's Pavilion.
"How did you know?" I asked him, shocked.
"Know what?" He smirked.
"I'll hit you. How did you know that this is my favourite restaurant?"
"I did some research." He smiled.
He's such a sweetheart.

"You already have my heart." I said, dramatically.
"Nautanki. Chal." He joked.
Rahul handed over the car to a valet attendant.
He then came to the passenger's seat, opening the door for me, while the security came to get us.
There were was a huge crowd paparazzis and fans.
Rahul held me tightly by my waist, letting me walk ahead of him.
There were paparazzis asking us questions if we were dating or not.
We ignored them and continued walking. Soon we were inside, sitting at our table.
I could hear my song "Kaise hua", playing faintly in the background.
"So, ma'am, what would you like to have?" Rahul asked, smirking, chuckling lightly.
I playfully rolled my eyes at his antiques.
We ended up ordering two Italian sizzlers, two glasses of wine and two chocolate lava cakes.
We fooled around, laughed at the most silliest things while having food.
I felt so comfortable around him!
We soon left the restaurant and were back in the car.
"So I've a surprise for you." Rahul said, as soon as we got into the car.
"What?" I laughed.
"You'll see." He winked and started the car, driving on the main road.
"Not again." I laughed, brushing my hair with my fingers.
It was already 10:30 p.m., what surprise has he planned?
After driving for about thirty minutes, we were at Versova Beach.
I quickly took my stilettos off, and ran towards the water.
There was no one on the beach! Completely empty.
I turned around to find Rahul clicking pictures of me.
I made dozens of goofy faces, before smiling properly.
"Come here." I said, smiling.
I noticed his sneakers were gone, he was barefoot. He rolled up his jeans half way to his calf, and walked towards me.
"There's no one here, except the both of us!" I exclaimed.
"Well, surprise surprise." He smiled.
"Did you plan this?" I asked, smiling ear to ear.
"Maybe." He chuckled.
"Oh my god!" I grinned, hugging him.
We walked on the shore for a good thirty minutes, talking about all the random things in the world.
"What're your wishes?" Rahul asked.
"I've already got so much from god, what more should I ask for?" I smiled at him.
He smiled back at me.
"What're your wishes though?" I asked him.
"You'll fulfill it?" He asked, chuckling.
"If I can, then surely." I shrugged.
He suddenly stopped walking and stood right infront of me.
"So, you know we're getting engaged day after tomorrow, but phir bhi." He said, looking at me for a couple of seconds, before going down on his knee, taking out a velvet box from his pocket.
I looked at him, eyes wide open.
"Shyra Iyer, will you marry me?" He asked me, showing me a beautiful diamond ring.
"Oh my god." I clapped my palm to my mouth, grinning.
"Yes! Yes!" I jumped happily, like a little child.
Oh my god, this was one of my wishes!
He slid the ring, in my middle finger, standing up and saying, "Middle finger because, I'll anyway put a ring in your ring finger day after tomorrow, also, this ring has something written on it." He smiled.
I quickly checked.
¤forever¤
Inscribed on it.
"This is so beautiful. I don't know what to say." I said, having tears in my eyes.
He slid his arms around my waist, hugging me tightly.
"Thank you so much." I whispered against his chest.
In return he kissed my head.
This boy is truly a blessing.

8 138The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.

8 108Dear Spellbook (Rewrite)
Live. Study. Repeat. Tal never saw himself as an adventurer, but the call to adventure never much cared for his opinion. Despite his best efforts, his search for answers on the murder of his parents ever draws him into danger. Accompanied by a group of seasoned warriors, thus far Tal has gotten by on his own meager magical talents, but when one day he wakes up to find himself back in his bed of the night before, he is faced with a challenge he must conquer alone. What to expect: This story was born of an attempt to create in world lore reasons for many of the mechanics and tropes of D&D, but you do not need to know of them to enjoy the story. It's a single POV time loop story with slow paced progression fantasy elements. The story is not one of fast-paced power ups and non-stop action, but as it progresses, the action picks up. There is a lot of magic system exploration on a system built to unify the diverse magic of D&D into one cohesive magic system. The setting is an original world with familiar races and monsters but with new unique origins and motivations. Book 1 is complete. Book 2 is complete and coming out M-W-F. The complete book 2 is available on Patreon
