In the middle of the night, Beca woke up in a panic. She had dreamed that she was back in that place with that man. She could almost feel him stabbing her again. She shot up out of bed waking Chloe.
"Bec? What's wrong?" She asked slightly sitting up.
"Nothing sorry, go back to bed Chlo" She said getting up and walking over to the window, leaning on the ledge.
"Becs please talk to me. I don't want to be in the dark again" Chloe said softly.
"I Uh, I dreamed that I was back with him. I could feel the pain again." Beca said quietly.
"I'm sorry." Chloe said.
"It's not your fault. I was so stupid, I didn't even smell the other pack. I did that to myself" Beca said as she wiped a tear falling from her eye.
"It was the fault of both of us. I hurt you bad and your response is to run. But now we're together and safe." Chloe said standing and walking over to the brunette.
"You want to know what is crazy? I was so hurt and angry at you but the whole time he had me, you were all I could think about. How I might not ever get to see you again, never get to hug you again. I didn't think about Jesse or my mom, I only thought about you." Beca turned her head towards Chloe.
"Why me?" Chloe asked moving closer to Beca.
"Because I'm in love with you" Beca whispers.
"What?" Chloe asked surprised.
"I'm in love with you and I have been for years. You're the only person I care about, the only one I need. I was too scared to accept it before but now I will. My heart shattered when you went to Tom. I learned this past week that I can't live without you" Beca confessed.
Chloe didn't say anything which worried Beca. She just stared at her. It felt like hours went by when Chloe reached forward grabbing Beca's chin and kissing her. It was a slow kiss but it was filled with so much passion and love. Once they pulled away Chloe looking into Beca's eyes.

"I love you too" she said with a smile.
Beca just smiled before leaning to kiss Chloe again.
The next morning they woke up smiling. Both couldn't believe what had happened the night before but they were glad it did.
It didn't stop Beca from being scared. Scared Chloe will leave again, scared she won't be good enough, also scared that Chloe wouldn't end up her mate. After what Jesse told her in the woods after she was bit, she knows that there's someone, somewhere who's meant to be with her, what if it's not Chloe?
"Stop thinking so much, your thoughts are loud" Chloe groaned as she snuggled deeper into Beca's neck.
The brunette just laughed.
"All I do is think and you know that" she said chuckling.
"What are you thinking about anyways?" Chloe asked.
"This, us" Beca said.
It wasn't a complete lie but it wasn't fully the truth.
"What about us?" Chloe asked.
"What's gonna happen now. With you and me, with the pack, with my father" Beca listed off.
"Everything will be fine as long as we're together." Chloe said smiling.
The two girls were interrupted by Beca's phone ringing. She reached over and noticed Jason calling.
"Hello?" She asked.
Beca I need you to get to the spot now"
"Why?" She asked.
"Don't ask questions just come" he said before hanging up.
"I guess that's my cue" Beca lowered the phone from her ear as she looked at Chloe.
"Do you have to go" Chloe whined.
"Apparently. If I don't go on my own he'll come here and drag me there." Beca said standing and getting her shoes on.
"I want to spend time with you today too" she said pouting.
"Chlo it's Saturday. Pack things take an hour at most. After I'll come back here and we can do whatever you want" she said slightly smiling.
"Fine" Chloe said.
"Bye Chlo, see ya later" Beca said kissing her forehead before heading to the window and jumping out.
Chloe just smiled like an idiot at the small gesture before getting ready for the day herself.
Her parents were away for work so she was home by herself. She was excited to spend the day with Beca.

As Beca arrived at the spot she noticed she was the last one to arrive.
"Took you long enough" Luke snapped.
"Sorry, Chloe wouldn't let me leave" Beca said.
"Well she's the reason why we're here. Chloe almost caused us to lose one of our own. Something has to be done about that" Jason said.
"What do you mean? You're not going to hurt Chloe are you?" Beca asked defensively.
"All she's caused is problems!" Theo yelled.
"She's my best friend!" Beca yelled back, she didn't want to pack to know about their new relationship yet.
"She caused you to run away! What if you would've given up important information when he had you!" Theo yelled back.
"I didn't and I'm not leaving again! Everything's worked out between us so you better not touch her" she growled turning towards Jason.
"It needs to happen" he said before turning and taking off towards Chloe's house.
Theo and Luke tried stopping Beca but she was too quick for them. She chased after Jason.
"I thought we couldn't hurt her because she's Beca's mate?" Jesse asked.
"We can't, alpha can if he believes that's right. Now we wait and see what happens" Luke said.
Jason and Beca raced through the woods towards Chloe's house. Since Beca ran this path so much she had the advantage. She took a shortcut getting her to Chloe's house faster. She quickly climbed the tree so Jason wouldn't see her and jumped into Chloe's room. She locked the window before turning to Chloe who had a confused look.
"You stay behind me until I fix this" Beca said sternly.
"Bec what's going on?" Chloe asked.
"Jason wants to get rid of you because of what happened. Over my dead body" Beca muttered the last part.
They both heard a sound from downstairs causing Beca to jump in front of Chloe.
"Are your parents home?" Beca asked.
"No they left for work" she said.
"Good, at least their safe" Beca said before moving to the door.
She slowly opened the door and sniffed the air. She caught Jason's scent before closing the door again quietly.
"He's here. Don't be scared of me if a fight breaks out. I won't hurt you" Beca told her.
"I trust you Bec" Chloe said taking her hand.
Before they could say anything else the door flew open revealing a smirking Jason on the other side.
"Step aside Beca. Let me have the girl" Jason said stepping in.
"If you want her, you'll have to go through me" Beca growled.
"Are you really going to disobey your alpha?" He asked.
"If it means keeping her safe" Beca said following him with her eyes.
"She's a problem Beca. She almost got you killed" he said.
"I'm still here aren't I? Nothing happened so nothing needs to happen" she said.
"Give me the girl" he said more sternly.
"Never!" Beca yelled.
Jason lunged at her, tackling her to the ground. Beca quickly flipped them so she was pinning him down.
"You'll regret this" he growled before throwing her off and into a wall.
He reached to grab Chloe when Beca tackled him. Punch after punch and kick after kick were being thrown. Chloe was standing in the corner scared out of her mind for her safety and Beca's. Beca finally got the advantage and threw Jason out the door and down the stairs.
"Close and lock the door!" Beca yelled as she tackled him again.
Chloe did as told and locked herself in the room. All she could do was listen to the sounds coming from downstairs.
"Leave her alone!" Beca yelled and her eyes turned blood red.
"Do you feel that Beca? That's the connection between you and your mate. You will do anything and everything to protect them." He said as she tried to punch him again.
"What do you mean? I haven't found my mate have I?" Beca asked slowing down.
"Chloe's your mate dumbass" Jason said.
They both stopped fighting and looked at each other.
"Chloe's my mate?!" Beca asked surprised.
"Why do you think you want to protect her so much. I know you guys took your relationship to the next level. Why do you think you love her so much." He said making her think.
"Holy shit" Beca said.

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
