Beca shot awake in the middle of the night to a horrible pain coming from her ribs. She let out a cry of pain, awaking the sleeping redhead next to her.
"Bec? What's wrong?" Chloe asked while rubbing her eyes.
"Nothing I'm fi-" Beca was cut off by another sharp pain causing her to gasp for air.
"Beca your not fine what's happening?" Chloe asked starting to panic.
Instead of answering, Beca got out of bed. She tried to get her shoes on but the pain was becoming to much.
"Beca stop! Lay down, let me help you" Chloe said panicking.
"No" Beca said shaking her head quickly.
She managed to pull her shoes on before falling on her knees in pain clutching her ribs. It felt like all her ribs were breaking.
"Beca please!" Chloe said crying.
"Where's, where's my phone?" Beca asked getting off the ground and looking for it.
"Right here" Chloe said handing it to her.
She called Jesse, on the third ring the picked up, "spot, now" was all she said before hanging up.
She stuffed her phone in her pocket before grabbing her bag and flinging it around her shoulders. She stumbled over to the window, leaning on the edge as she caught her breath. She opened the window and started climbing out when Chloe grabbed her arm.
"What are you doing?! Don't you dare leave when your in pain like this" Chloe said.
"I have too, I can't be here. Let go" Beca commanded but Chloe still held onto her.
"Why are you doing this?! Let me help you!" She cried.
"I don't want your help Chloe! God can't you see that!" Beca yelled before clutching her side in pain.
"Please Beca your my best friend! I can't let you leave when your like this! I love you too much" she cried.
"Well I don't love you and I don't want to be here with you during this!" Beca yelled and Chloe let go of her arm.
It broke Beca's heart how crushed Chloe looked. She lied, she loved Chloe with all her heart but she was afraid of what would happen if she stayed with Chloe. She couldn't think of any other way to get her to let go.
"You don't mean that" Chloe whispered.
Beca looked out towards the tree she was about to jump on, "Yeah, I do" she whispered before jumping out and running towards the spot, stumbling a few times because of the pain.
She had tears in her eyes but they weren't from the pain from her ribs, but from the pain in her heart. She couldn't believe she had just said that to Chloe. She just kept running till she reached the spot, seeing Jesse standing there she just collapsed into his arms.
"What's happening Jess" she asked.
"Your changing" he said lowering her to the ground.
"I think I just lost Chloe" she whispered before screaming in pain.
"How?" He asked.
She let out another scream of pain before answering, "I needed to leave and she wouldn't let me, she said she loved me to much to let me go. I told her I didn't love her and I didn't want to be with her. She whispered you don't mean that and I answered with I do before jumping. I think I lost her Jess" Beca cried.

"I'm sorry Bec" Jesse whispered with a tear in his eye.
Meanwhile Chloe watched as Beca jumped, feeling her hear break and the words she mumbled before jumping.
Yeah, I do, those three words wouldn't stop playing in her head. She sat down on her bed and cried into her hands. She looked across her room and noticed Beca left her hoodie there. She got up and slipped it on before crawling into bed where Beca just was and crying. She thought Beca loved her. She knew Beca didn't romantically love her but she thought she at least loved her like a best friend. She couldn't believe she lost Beca. She cried until she fell asleep.
Back in the woods, it had been three hours since they arrived at the spot. Beca was emotionally and physically drained but she wasn't shifted yet. It took another hour before Beca shifted into a beautiful grey wolf with golden eyes.
"Woah" Jesse breathed out.
"Well done Beca" their uncle came out from the shadows of the the forest.
Uncle Jason? Beca asked.
Because Jesse and their uncle were also werewolves, they could understand Beca in her wolf form.
"In the flesh, Sorry about the scare the other day. Good idea with the stick" he said chuckling.
Sorry about that She said.
"It's fine kid. Well nice to know who's taking the pack after me" he said
"Wait Beca's beta-Alpha?" Jesse asked and Jason nodded.
"Yep. She'll take over once I step down or die" he explained.
Alright nice to know but how the fuck do I become a human again? Beca asked.
"Oh right! Think of something that grounds you to your human side. It could be a person, place, anything that makes you human" Jesse explained.
Beca immediately thought of Chloe, her smile, her laugh, her bright blue eyes and fiery red hair. Before she knew it she was back a human.
"That fucking hurt like a bitch" she complained rubbing her shoulder.
"It'll hurt the first few times but soon it will be painless" Jason said.
"Good. I don't think I could take that every time" Beca said.
"Well since you turned I guess it's time to train you. For the next week Jesse and I will train you in combat, controlling your wolf and other things" he said.
"What about school? Dad will be pissed at me if I skip" Beca reasoned.
"I'll figure that out along the way but you can't go to school until you can control your blood lust. We don't want you killing innocent humans" he said.
"When do we start?" Beca asked.
"Now, you can't go home because you'll want to kill your parents so let's start on controlling your blood lust as soon as possible." He said and Beca nodded.
They spent the whole night into the morning training Beca with controlling her blood lust and anger and she's almost got the hang of it. Jason and Jesse were impressed how fast Beca was picking everything up.
They were taking a small break when Beca looked at her phone and noticed school was about to start. Chloe flooded her thoughts and she couldn't help but be sad. She didn't know what to do about her situation with the redhead. Jesse noticed her change in mood and walked over. He placed his hand on her shoulder, rubbing it slightly.

"Everything will be fine. She'll come around eventually" he whispered to her and Beca nodded.
They just went back to training. They started teaching Beca combat. No matter what they did though, Beca couldn't get her mind off Chloe.
At school, Chloe just arrived and was heading over to her group of friends. She noticed Beca and Jesse were absent. She couldn't help but worry about the brunette. When they enter their math class, Aubrey and Stacie looked confused by the tiny brunettes absence.
"Hey Chlo, where's the hobbit?" Aubrey asked.
"I don't know" Chloe answered back coldly, not wanting to talk about Beca.
As they went through the rest of the day, the group started worrying about her. She was unusually quiet and seemed upset. They could tell her smile was fake but she kept telling them she was fine. When the school day ended Chloe ignored everyone and got in her car and drove home.
"Well you picked everything up quite quickly, so depending on how fast you get through the last thing you might be able to go to school Friday" Jason said.
"What's next?" Beca asked.
"Torture. I hate this part but it's necessary in case you get captured." He explained.
"Okay, I can take it" she said.
She became confused when two boys came out of the woods into the clearing.
"Beca I'd like you to meet Luke and Theo" Jason introduced them.
Jason found them when they were only three years old. They were abandoned in the woods. He took them in and raised them until they came to the age where he could turn them. Theo and Luke were fraternal Twins. They where only a year older than Beca.
"Nice to meet you Beca" Theo said holding his hand out.
"You too" she said shaking his hand.
"Now that I have a decent pack, I can send these two to school with you guys. Keep each other in check and don't let the secret slip. Each other are your only friends now, you can't trust anyone. Understand?" Jason asked and they all nodded, "good, now onto the last part of Beca's training"
It's Friday morning and Chloe just pulled up to school. She didn't see Beca yet again and it scared her. She hasn't seen the brunette since midnight Monday night and it worried her.
Just before the bell rang she saw Jesse pull up. She felt relieved to see Beca get out of the car with him but confused when two other guys exited the car as well. As they walked up, they didn't even look her way. They were about to walk in when the rest of the group noticed Beca.
"Short stack! Where have you been!" Amy yelled pulling Beca into a tight hug.
"Hey Ames. Sorry I've just been out for a little. Had something to deal with." Beca said.
"Beca let's go" Luke said walking up to her.
"Yeah sorry. Bye guys" Beca says walking away and into the building.
When the group headed inside, Chloe thought Beca would be sat in her normal spot but she wasn't. Instead she was sat at the back of the class next to Jesse, across from them where the two other guys Chloe didn't know. She sat down and looked up and Beca. She saw her glance her direction before returning her attention to the blond guy in front of her. She noticed that Beca almost looked in pain by the way she was keeping away from her. When the bell rang Chloe began paying attention but she couldn't help her mind wondering to Beca every once in a while.
After class Chloe made her way out of the classroom. She was surprised when she felt an arm grab her. She turned around to be met with the eyes of Beca.
"I'm so sorry about what happened the other night. I don't know why I said that to you but I do love you and trust me I wanted to be with you while all that was happening but I couldn't. I needed Jesse." Beca rushed out and Chloe looked down.
"That really hurt Beca" Chloe whispered.
"I know. I saw the hurt in your eyes when I said it trust me it hurt me too" Beca said but before Chloe could respond another voice spoke.
"Beca" the blond one said.
"One second Luke" Beca said, looking into Chloe's eyes.
"Please don't do that again." Chloe whispered, softly grabbing Beca's hand.
Beca" Luke said a little more firm but Beca ignored him.
"I won't ever hurt you again I promise." Beca whispered softly.
Before Chloe could say anything else Beca was ripped away from her.
"Let's go" Luke said pulling her away.
Beca pulled her arm out of Luke's grasp. Standing firmly.
"What the fuck Luke?!" Beca yelled, grabbing the attention of bystanders.
"You know what Jason said!" He yelled back.
"Yeah I do but I'm not one for following the rules." Beca said back.
"She's not trustworthy!" Luke yelled.
"You don't fucking know her!" Beca shouted back, getting into his face.
"You know what you are. She can't know about that" he said quietly.
"I didn't choose to be what I am. Jason chose that for me. Now if you don't mind I'd like to walk my best friend to class" Beca said backing off and heading over to Chloe.
Chloe took her hand and they both went to history and to their seats. Beca could feel Luke's stare on her during the whole lesson. She's not sure how long she can do this.

Forged in Fear and Fury - An Apocalyptic LitRPG
In an attempt to prevent Earths ensuing demise, it is ripped from the void by an entity known as The Totality. It is then fused with a Lost Dungeon World to increase its inhabitants chances of survival in a new, system-enhanced universe. Cade Vale barely avoids death in the first second. Will he be able to overcome the rigors of this new world and survive? Will he be able to carve a new life out of the aether for himself and those whom he loves most? ...Will he be able to avoid becoming everything he hates in order to do so? Artwork by Kayla Basciano - Instagram: vulpix1323 Inspired primarily by the systems in The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound, The Genesis System, and The New World as well as by Savage Divinity, Azarinth Healer, and Shovels in Spades in general. I haven't been able to get these worlds out of my head and I've been waiting for something to fill the void left by the hiatus of Genesis, but so far nothing has scratched that itch as much as ProfoundMagician was able to with the world he created. I figure if I'm going to be thinking about this stuff as much as I do I might as well get better at writing while playing with a number of those ideas that I love. I have a number of specifics and events I want to show in the story, but a lot of the fun is coming up with ways to branch those together cohesively. This is an attempt to alleviate my depression by channeling my creativity into a hobby. Hopefully it's as enjoyable to read as it is to write.

Prince of Destiny
Karl is the last prince of a royal house that has been overthrown by brutal revolutionaries. Orphaned by the revolutionaries, he was rescued and has been raised in secret by Leevana, a green skinned night-hag, for the past ten years. When Karl turns sixteen and is old enough to embrace his destiny, he and Leevana must set out on a quest to find his royal grandmother. But the depraved new leader of the revolutionaries, Joe Steel, is on their trail... Somewhat inspired by the basic concept of Don Bluth's fairy tale animated feature, purporting to be based on the myths surrounding Anastasia Romanov. I don't think this counts as a fanfiction, because it does not use anyone else's characters and it is in its own self-contained world, but please keep in mind the inspiration. Leevana and Karl are completely original characters, but Joe Steel, the bigger bad, is inspired by Stalin. Maybe let me know if you think it should have a fanfiction tag or not.

Just a Game
“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?
