《One bite》2.

The crew all headed into school to their first class. They got lucky that they all have algebra II first period together and got to pick their seats. The tables were set in groups of four. Beca and Chloe sat together across from Stacie and Aubrey. Then the table to their right had Jesse and Benji together across from Emily and Amy. They were all close enough to talk to each other still without shouting.
"So Bree how was your night last night?" Chloe asked smiling.
As those two started talking, Stacie gave Beca a look.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Beca asked.
"Bit by bugs? Really? You think I'm that stupid to not realize that was a lie?" Stacie asked and Beca froze.
"I-It wasn't a lie" Beca tried to defend but failed.
"Yeah and I'm a virgin" Stacie said rolling her eyes.
Beca sighed knowing it was useless to try and argue Stacie. The two have known each other since kindergarten. They knew each other better than they know themselves. If Chloe wasn't around, Stacie would definitely be Beca's best friend.
"Fine, I was bite by a wolf" Beca whispered as she leaned closer to Stacie.
"What?!" Stacie screeched, attracting attention to them.
"Shhh! I don't want people knowing!" Beca whispered harshly.
"Are you okay?!" Stacie asked panicked.
"Yeah I'm fine. Chloe cleaned it and took care of it last night once we got home." Beca told her sitting back in her chair.
"I knew you had a secret" she said as the teacher walked in.
"Good morning class" Mr. Dallas said.
Their was a muffled 'morning' mumbled through out the class as he turned to the board to start. About half way through the class Beca smiled as she felt Chloe slid her hand into hers.
Chloe was a very affectionate person, especially to Beca. She liked holding the small brunettes hand when she was nervous or stress. It happened a lot in math considering Chloe was horrible at it. The only issue was the occasional comments they got when people noticed, mainly Bumper and Tom.
"Mitchell when are you just going to admit your gay" Tom said with a small grin.
"Why would I admit something that wasn't true?" Beca shot back with a smirk.
The teacher had stepped out of the class, leaving them on their own.
"Come on, everyone knows you're the antisocial girl who hates any form a physical contact yet, you hold Chloe's hand anytime you get" He said smugly.
"Well see that's where your wrong, I don't hate physical contact. I just hate people I don't like or don't know touching me. My friends hug me all the time, you just don't see it" Beca told him, leaning back in her chair.
"But do you hold hands and cuddle with all your friends? I don't think you do so just admit you've got the hots for Beale and we can be done" he said crossing his arms.
"Chloe's just a very affectionate person. She shows her liking for people by touching them. Oh and even though it none of your business, Jesse and I always cuddled on the couch when watching movies" she said.
"Just admit your a dyke" he sneered.
"Why?" Beca asked.
"Because we all know you are! Just fucking admit it" Tom said.
Before Beca could answer the teacher walked back in. Everyone quieted down upon his arrival and continued working. Chloe could sense how worked up the brunette got. She soothingly rubbed small circles on the back of her hand with her thumb.

Once the bell finally rang, Beca, Chloe and Jesse made their way to US history while the rest went to English and science.
"Hey Bec can I talk to you for a sec before heading in?" Jesse asked.
"Yeah sure" She said stopping and turning to him, Chloe as well.
"Can we talk alone?" He asked and Beca turned to Chloe.
"I'll see you in there" she said with a smile as the redhead nodded and left, "what's up?"
"You were bitten by a wolf weren't you?" Jesse asked and Beca's eyes widened.
"How did you know that?" Beca asked.
"Because over the summer I was too" Jesse started.
"Wait Wait Wait you were bit by a wolf and never told me?!" She asked shocked.
"The thing was it wasn't a normal wolf" Jesse said scratching the back of his head.
"What do you mean 'not a normal wolf'" Beca asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Remember Uncle Jason?" Jesse asked.
"Yeah he died two years ago after an accident in the woods, no one ever found his body" Beca said.
"Yeah well he didn't die. He was bitten, like you and me. He was bitten and turned by a werewolf. I know it sounds crazy and you probably don't believe me, hell I didn't believe it either at first but it's true." Jesse quickly rambled out.
"You're right. I don't fully believe you. How would you even know about our uncle?" Beca asked.
"Because he's the one who changed me, he told me he wanted to change you too. He said he wanted us to experience the beauty of being a wolf without needing to disappear because he's there to help us. Tonight after school, let's go into the woods and I can prove all of this to you" Jesse said but Beca stayed silent.
Can this really be possible? She thought.
Once the bell rang Beca looked at Jesse.
"I'll think about it" she said as they entered the room.
Beca took her seat at the back next to Chloe and tried to listen to the teacher but failed. Chloe also tried talking to her but Beca just couldn't focus on either of them. She was caught up in her little bubble before the teacher called her name, snapping her out of her trance.
"Beca, Care to tell me what the government did in order to help African Americans in the south after the civil war?" He asked.
"They passed the 13th, 14th and 15th amendment. Those admendments abolished slavery, gave black men the right to vote and also gave blacks that were born on America soil all the protections citizens get." Beca answered.
"And tell me Miss Mitchell, What did the southerners do to try and cancel out these amendments?" He asked again.
"They introduces the grandfather clause. This clause was that if your grandfather could vote then you didn't have to go through any tests in order to vote. They would give them things like literacy tests which they had to pass in order to vote. This causing most black people the inability to vote" Beca answered again.
"Very good Mitchell. Now I advise you to pay attention" he said and Beca nodded.
As the rest of class pasted, Beca couldn't take her mind off of what Jesse said. Once the bell finally rung, Beca sprang out of her seat into the hall looking for Jesse.

Chloe looked at the seat Beca once occupied. She was confused about the girls behavior. She was perfectly fine until Jesse talked to her, then she got all weird. It wasn't like Beca to ignore her or leave with out her. Every year that they've had classes together Beca's always waited up for her. She's determined to find out what's off with her best friend.
"Jesse!" Beca yelled as she spotted the boy ahead of her.
"What's up Bec?" He asked once she caught up to him.
"I'll go to the woods with you tonight" she said and Jesse smiled.
"Your going to love it Bec, I'll teach you everything you'll need to know and help you through the process. Uncle will too." He said as they reached his class.
"Alright sounds good, see you at lunch loser" she said walking away.
She made her way down to keyboarding class. Beca already could play flawlessly but Chloe asked her to take it with her. Of course Beca agreed so now she found herself waiting in the music room for her favorite redhead. Once Chloe walked in she smiled and motioned to the seat next to her.
"What's up with you?" Chloe asked as she sat down.
Beca furrowed her eyebrows, "What do you mean?" She asked.
"You've been off since history. You kept ignoring me and left without me, you never do that. I could tell there's something going on inside that head" Chloe told her.
Beca sighed knowing she couldn't lie to Chloe, "there's just a lot on my mind at the moment." Beca shrugged as if it was nothing.
"You better not be keeping things from me Mitchell" Chloe threatened.
Before she could reply the teacher walked in and started class.
"Okay so theirs a large number of students in this class and I don't have enough keyboards for all of you. Please raise your hand if you've played before?" He asked and almost half the class raised their hands.
"Great, please split off into partners. Please if you have experience pair up with someone who doesn't." He said.
"Partners?" Chloe asked and Beca smirked.
"I don't know, that girl over their looks like she'd be an amazing piano partner" she said and Chloe smacked her.
"Ow! I was kidding!" Beca yelled rubbing her arm.
"Come on loser let's get set up" Chloe said standing and walking off, leaving Beca to watch her.
Damn she's something special Beca thought with a smile before running to catch up with her.
Third period ended and the pair headed to lunch. Once they got their they went to their table and waited for the rest of the group. Beca sat on the end with Chloe next to her, then Aubrey, then Amy. Across from Beca was Jesse who had Stacie next to him, then Benji and Emily.
"Yo shortstack! I heard you got bit by a wolf"
Amy said causing Beca to go wide eyed.
"Who told you that?" She asked.
"Benji"
"Emily"
"Aubrey"
"Stacie"
"Stacie! I told you that was a secret!" Beca hissed.
"No you told me to be quiet so no one heard. You never said I couldn't tell them" Stacie defended.
"I said I don't want people knowing!" Beca said.
"Sorry, at least it's only our group of friends." Stacie shrugged.
Before Beca could say anything else, she could hear lockers shutting louder than normal. She grabbed her head in pain as she heard conversations from across the room. She didn't know why this was happening. She remembered Jesse saying it was a werewolf that bit her but she didn't want to believe him.
Chloe looked at her best friend concerned. She doesn't know what's happening with the brunette but it's scary. Watching Beca clutch her head in pain wasn't something Chloe liked seeing. She hated when the brunette was in pain. She saw Beca get up and stumbled out of the cafeteria, before she could do anything, Jesse was chasing after her.
"Beca!" Jesse yelled as he ran down the hallways trying to find his sister.
"Jesse" Beca groaned from her place on the floor, still clutching her head.
"Hey it's okay, it's just you body getting use to your new senses" he said kneeling down beside her.
"It hurts like a bitch" Beca mumbled.
"I know. It'll be better tomorrow." He reassured her.
"Can we get out of here?" Beca asked and Jesse hesitated.
"I don't know if we can do that. I mean what will our parents say?" He asked and Beca sighed.
"I don't know if I can make it through last period" she said.
"Just try, if it's unbearable just text me and we'll ditch. Don't take a lot to class okay?" He said and Beca nodded.
The bell rang so the two headed off to class. Beca's last class was chemistry, she had that class with Stacie and Aubrey. She walked in, sat down and sighed.
This is going to be a long class she thought.
Once the final bell rang she bolted out of class to the front of the school where she would meet Jesse.
"Hey Bec!" Chloe said cheerfully, scaring Beca slightly.
"Oh hey Chlo" she said with a smile as she calmed down.
"Want to come over? We can do our homework at the treehouse" Chloe said excitedly.
"Sorry Chlo I've already got plans with Jesse. Maybe tomorrow" she said as Jesse came out.
"Ready Bec?" He asked walking over.
"Yeah Jess. Sorry Chlo I'll see you tomorrow" she said as they both ran off.
"Yeah okay. See ya" Chloe mumbled to herself sadly.
As Jesse and Beca reached the entrance to the woods they slowed to a stop.
"Ready?" Jesse asked looking over to her.
"As I'll ever be" Beca said and they both took off into the forest.
After a few minutes they came up to a clearing. Jesse smiled at Beca before walking to the center.
"I want to show you something" he said and Beca nodded.
Jesse closed his eyes and took a deep breath before turning into a wolf. Beca stood their in shock at the black wolf that now took Jesses place.
"Holy shit" she breathed out.
Jesse trotted over to her and licked her face before turning back into his human form.
"Believe me now?" He asked smiling.
"Yeah"

It is a very standard adventure, low fantasy, alternate historical story with common archetype and predictable storyline. It is a form of artistic expression. 🏳️🌈 LGBTQIA+ Content Tag 🙇 ESL Author 📖 A Very Brief Summary 📖 (Unavoidable Spoiler) This story is about Arete of Syracuse (the protagonist) who was on a journey to find a mysterious Teleios of Eretria. Travelling with her servant Matea, her maternal cousin Agave and a former hetaira named Pryne. Throughout their journey, they discovered the conspiracy behind the Emperor Nero's eugenic system. This story explores the topic of human advancement. Tracing the idea back to the Greco-Roman world, the idea of eugenicism started when humans attempted to achieve perfection through breeding enhancements. However, The Three Elders realised that they couldn't afford waiting on the natural process of evolution. Thus, they came out with the controversial idea of experimentation through the building up of monstrosities using different body parts of animals and attempting to achieve immortality through taking over the younger human bodies. Teleios means perfection, and the center of this story is about the journey of four very flawed characters: The protagonist, Arete was a skinny noble woman who was born premature and had amenorrhea. She was supposed to be drowned by the order of Emperor Claudius due to her imperfection. While Matea was born a perfect healthy person, but has had everything taken away from her. Agave who was born out of wedlock but was fortunate enough to be adopted into a noble family. And Pryne who was on her way to have a loving family but drifted instead throughout the world after making a decision that she deeply regretted and needed to overcome her sense of guilt along the way. The story will explore some of the most controversial topics which involved detestable ancient practices such as pedarastry, where as the Empress Sporus, being the victim of it, coping with her tragic experience through acceptance of the oppressor and her struggle for not being able to conceive. In summary, the topics were largely related to gender and sex. There will be violence and gore, as most of the fantasy works does. while the author here would like to inform the readers that this is not an erotica, nor it has any sentences that involve depiction of sexual activities. Therefore, this story is not for those who seek thrill on its sexual content. A dialogue of Empress Sporus: "The world itself abused us to a level unimaginable! Yet we have to learn to love the world! Simply to live! To make our life a little easier, a little happier. So what is wrong with that? Are you expecting me to go against the emperor when he is the one and only reason I became the empress?" Said Sporus.

A man wakes up in a world entirely unlike his own. One where the wildlife has taken a decidedly weirder evolutionairy path than he is accustomed to. Stumbling through his first moments in this monster filled world, he quickly comes to one conclusion: Something is very wrong with this situation. === The less pretentious version: The main character wakes up a monster, in a monstrous world where magical creatures roam the land killing and eating each other to increase their strength. Humans survive in this world by capturing and taming these creatures, using their magic for their own ends. Basically, he wakes up a pokemon. A very, very, weak, pokemon.
