You sat in a freezing foxhole in Bastogne.You held yourself in your arms to try and heat yourself up.It was Christmas Eve. This happened to be the worst Christmas Eve you've ever had. Hell , that anyone's ever had before.

You where so tired but couldn't seem to find yourself to sleep.It was dark and the shelling had already gone off.You felt lonely and you hated it. You had always hated feeling lonely."You doing alright y/n ?" You heard leibgott say. "Oh I'm just bloody great joe thanks" you said as he jumped down into your foxhole.He had a blanket with him.You cuddled up next to him. He smiled and gave you some of the blanket he had over him."t-thanks" you said."No problem sweetheart" he said gently.

You felt warm and comfy with Joe. You had always taken a liking to joe. You never knew why but you just did.His body was keeping you warm.You slowly started to fall asleep with your head on his chest.Joe started to feel protective over you when you fell asleep on your chest.He had always had a soft spot for you in his heart.you made him feel happy. That's why he fell in love with you. No ones ever made him fall in love that quickly.

You ran through Bastogne trying to escape the things that could kill you. You tried to run to your foxhole that you shared with Joe but there was nothing around you now. Then everything started to spin.You then heard joe screaming "GET AWAY ...... Y/N HELP ME" then George "Y/N HELP ME" then everyone started screaming for you.your cried out as you broke down onto your knee's and covered your ears.

"Y/n , y/n , it's ok , please , it's ok ,it's just a nightmare" joe said.You couldn't catch your breath.joe held your hand and helped with your breathing. "I-I'm sorry" you said still shaking."It's ok , it's not your fault , it happens to everyone" joe said holding you as he pulled you into his lap.He pressed kisses on your temples as he brought the blanket around you both.You listened to the steady beat of joe's heart as you tried to fall back to sleep.

You where all out of Bastogne. You where all in Foy and where just glad to have a bed.Joe liked to hold you while he was trying to sleep. It helped comfort him.You also really liked cuddling into him at night.No one really cared though. They where just glad to be alive after going though Bastogne.
