It was a cold night in Bastogne.You where catching a cold while being there.You where sneezing and coughing a few times and you had a way off fever that wasn't a normal temperature at all.You where trying to keep yourself warm.something was on your mind. Well someone. Lewis Nixon. He kept you going. You where madly in love with him.Your mind wondered to him at every chance it had.

As you lay there , you heard the crunch of boots against the snow coming towards your foxhole.you looked up to see Lewis holding a blanket."Hey , I Uh brought you a blanket" he said smiling softly." Thank you sir" you smiled.He got into your foxhole and scooped you up and placed you in his lap so your head was softly on his chest.You blushed.He wrapped the blanket around you both and held you like there was No one else around you.It felt nice as No one else had held you like this before." Nasty cold you got there sweetheart" he said softly."Yea , i feel so tired like I haven't slept in days" you yawned. "I know it's tuff , especially when it's freezing cold " he said.

You where falling asleep to the sound of his heart beat.he was being so soft and gentle around you.You really liked it.His hands rested on your waist.After you fell asleep. Lipton was going round and checking on men in foxholes."You doing ok down here" Lipton said."Yea , doing just fine" Lewis smiled.

Your cold has only gotten worse over time. Eugene came over to check on you and saw how bad you where getting."This isn't looking to good y/n" Eugene said sounding worried.You didn't want to leave easy but you knew you weren't going to get any better."Come on , let's get you to the aid station" Eugene said.You slept for most of your time there but at times , it got very boring. You would just lay there and stair at the roof.

Lewis was missing you like crazy. He loved you and wanted you to be in his arms again.It just felt so right for you both to be together.You remember so well that after you got back with easy Lewis gave you this best kiss you had ever had in your life.

You got down from the jeep and started walking back to your foxhole.You saw Lewis quickly walk up to you."Y/n" you heard him say."Hey Lewis" you said as you felt him pull you closer to him and then kiss you.You where shocked but you kissed him back.your arms rested on his shoulders.You slowly pulled away so your lips where almost touching."I love you" he whispered."I love you too" you whispered back kissing him again in the same passionate way you had once done before.
