You where sitting in your foxhole freezing your ass off. All you could think about was home . Home was where you longed for but now , you didn't really know where how's was anymore. You didn't know if it would look the same , if the same people where going to be there or if your life would be the same again.

You kept sneezing and coughing as you had cought a cold. Being in the freezing cold didn't help it either.You tried to keep you self warm but wasn't working one bit.You heard the crunch of boots against the snow coming closer towards your foxhole.You didn't have the strength to look up to see who it was."Y/n ? Jesus look at you , your freezing" the voice said.it was joe.you tried to speak but joe was already wrapping a blanket around you both and pulling you into his lap.

You cuddled into his Lap to keep warm.joe honestly admired you.He always saw you as an amazing, strong and independent woman.He also saw you as a beautiful woman"I fucking hate Bastogne, I just want to go home"you whispered."Me too sweetheart , me too" joe said.You fell asleep for the first time that felt like forever.Joe smiled as he hadn't seen you sleep in a while.he gave your temples little kisses.

He looked over your features and smiled as he knew that you where perfect.Perfect for him.he wanted you to be his and only his. His girlfriend, his wife , the mother of his children. All his and his to keep.he soon fell asleep as well.Lip was going round and checking on people in foxholes.He looked into your foxhole and saw you and joe sleeping cuddled up together.he smiled to himself and then went round to keep checking on the rest of the men.

You woke up with joe softly rubbing your back."Hey , you up" he smiled.you nodded softly and smiled."Hey looks like your cold finally broke too" he said.you realised that it actually did."Yea , Yea I guess it did" you smiled.You stayed cuddled up to joe to keep you both warm for the time being.You both needed each other more than ever.You peacefully looked at him then his lips.You sat up and straddled his lap and kissed him softly.He kissed you back passionately.His hands then rested on your waist."please be mine y/n" he said breaking the kiss."Yea I'll be yours" you said kissing him again.

You and joe where in your home sitting by the fire.It was Christmas Eve. You just loved Christmas so much. You loved the decorations, the markets and also wearing one of joes jumpers that was always really big for you.You just loved it so much.Joe was so happy to have you call him your boyfriend at Christmas. It made him joyful and warm on the inside.He cuddled you softly."I've actually got an Walt Christmas present for you" joe said."So have I , you go first" you smiled.Joe left the room quickly and then came back in.
