《Only you can make me feel better... (Calamity x Drift)》Chapter 47: Welcome to the world (Final)

Almost 1 month passed after our honeymoon. Me and Calamity were now furnishing our new house, since we're married and have a house of our own. Now this may sound a little surprising, but we actually decided to live in Calamity's house in Paradise Palms. She was okay with it, since everything that had happened, was in the past, and she already forgot it. It didn't bother her at all. So this is where our lives will start with us being happily married.
We were finally finished with everything in the house. Everything was cleaned up and we had new furniture. So we could now live here without any problems. I was pretty tired after all of this and decided to go upstairs to sleep. Calamity had already gone upstairs to bed like 2 hours ago, since she told me she wasn't feeling too well. And to be honest, I started to worry that she was seriously sick... She sometimes would act off or differently. As if she was nervous most of the time about something...
As I entered the bedroom, Calamity was already in bed. I think she was sleeping, since her back was turned to me, so I couldn't see her face. I removed my shirt and pants and got in bed. When I put my arm around her, she turned around, facing me and snuggled up to me. I asked softly. She replied with no emotion, and I noticed that. I looked at her and sighed. I said with a pleading face. She said with a slight brittle voice, without looking at me. I asked and raised a brow.
She kept quiet... She didn't say a single word. I said and gently grabbed her face, making her look at me, but it hurt what I saw next. There were tears rolling down her cheeks. I asked extremely worried. But she didn't say anything and started sobbing. I said in a reassuring tone. She asked between sniffs. I said and kissed her forehead.

Calamity got out of my arms and sat up right. I did the same and grabbed her hands and looked at her. She took a deep, shaky breath until she started speaking. She said stuttering. I asked calmly. She looked down at her hands, which I held and she then looked up to me again. She said nervously. I waited for the moment she would tell.
She finally said.
I slightly widen my eyes as I heard those words. I didn't know what to say right now. I felt my heart pound faster. Calamity said slightly sad and looked down, with another tear rolling down. I said with a smile. She asked surprised as she looked up to me. I said and kissed her. She didn't hesitate to kiss me back. I enjoyed the kiss until I broke it. I said as I wiped her tears away. She said smiling. I said, returning a smile. I said as I bent down and slightly lift up Calamity's shirt to give a kiss on her stomach. Calamity giggles as we lay down together, and I secure my arms around her. She whispers. I whisper back as I gently stroke her hair.
I ran as fast as I could, not even stopping one second. I couldn't let this moment slip away from me. What if something bad happens? No! Everything will go just fine. Don't even think about the bad things.
I looked at the numbers on the doors until I found the right one. 245... 246... 247...There! 248! I opened the door and entered the room, closing the door behind me. I said as I panted. Calamity called out my name. I walked up to her, as she laid in the hospital bed, with Brite standing on her right side, and 2 female doctors standing at the end of the bed. I said with a soothing voice and I caressed her cheek as she slightly sobbed. I asked as I looked up. Brite replied. Calamity said with tears in her eyes. I said as I tried to comfort her and rubbed her stomach. Brite said as she started to walk away. As Brite left the room, one of the doctors turned to us. She said. Calamity said with a scared face.

Then she suddenly started moaning in pain. I assumed it was a contraction. The doctor said again. I grabbed her hand as she squeezed it tightly. The doctor said and Calamity started pushing, while her eyes were shut tightly. She tensed up while trying to push harder. But with nothing in result, she laid back down. The other doctor said. She tried pushing again, and I noticed she was squeezing my hand much more, and was moaning louder in pain. But nothing happened again and she threw her self back on the bed while panting heavily and sweating. I said, trying to give her confidence. She said as she started sobbing even more. I said looking directly in her eyes. The doctor said, and Calamity nodded.
The doctor said and she started pushing again, but this time she pushed harder and moaned louder in pain. I said to support her. The doctor said. Calamity tightened the grip on my hand as she started pushing harder, while screaming in pain. The doctor said as she was really focused. After more pushing and screaming, Calamity pushed a last time, until she finally gave birth to the baby.
Our baby...
She throws her self back on the bed, panting heavily and looking exhausted, while tears were streaming down her face as the doctor brings the baby and gives it to Calamity, and she holds her. The doctor said with a smile and backs away. Calamity softly says, while smiling and still crying. I get close to the baby and I couldn't hold it back but also let a few tears roll down. The baby then opens her eyes and I was stunned. I said as I stared at her cute, glittering brown eyes. Calamity said as she looked at me, with tears in her eyes. I reply and put my arms around Calamity and my new born daughter. I asked as I looked at Calamity. She said softly as she gently caressed her cheek. I said smiling as I gave a kiss on her head, and so did Calamity. Calamity said softly. I said and smiled, giving her a sweet kiss on the lips.
The end...

Ortus (Old Version)
This is an old version of the heavily edited and rewritten Ortus This is the story of a woman named Riza. Riza is a woman who wakes up in a forest with nothing, remembering nothing, and on the cusp of death. The only thing she has is a weapon stuck in her side and, after a tangle with a wild boar, something called 'life aspect'. Little does she know that life magic is considered a dead-end branch and is largely outlawed across the world. None of this matters to her, of course. For one, even if someone tried to tell her, she doesn't know the language. Number two, have you heard about the sunk cost fallacy? Riza is not some chosen one, nor is given any boon she doesn't deserve. Instead, she's smart and methodical, and experiements on how to maximise every opportunity, every ability, presented to her. She doesn't just take things at face-value but instead explores just what limitations there are. This often involves maths.

Just a Game
“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?
