《Only you can make me feel better... (Calamity x Drift)》Chapter 45: The big day

While Calamity and I were walking back home hand in hand, I still couldn't believe that I actually did it. I just proposed to her, and she said yes. Altough I can say that I feel very happy now, I feel tons of other emotions go through me that I just can't describe.
As we made it back home, I opened the door and let Calamity in first, and I went inside after, closing the door behind me.Brite asked as she came walking towards us, with Raptor behind us. Calamity said with a small smirk as she removed a strand of hair from her face, purposely with her left hand. I grinned and looked at Brite and Raptor, and oh boy, did they look shocked. Brite asked unbelievably with wide eyes as she looked at Calamity's left hand. More specifically, the ring. Raptor said quietly as he also couldn't believe it. I said as I put and arm around Calamity. She said as she smiled at me, and I smiled back. Brite squealed and ran towards Calamity, hugging her tightly as Calamity hugged back. Raptor said as he hugged me and I hugged him back. I said and broke the hug.
After we announced this to the rest of the team as well, we've been getting congratulations from them, including Technique and Abstract. We were all seated at the dinner table, eating our dinner. Brite asked. I said as I turned to Calamity. She said. I said and Calamity agreed. Brite said as she still had food in her mouth. Calamity said laughing.
As I was laying in bed with only my underwear on, I was on my phone already looking at all the things we had to prepare for a wedding. And it was a lot to be honest, but it's gonna be worth it. I know that for sure.

Just then, Calamity came out of the bathroom and crawled in bed. She asked as she snuggled up to me, and I put an arm around her. I said as I continued looking on my phone. She said as she lowered my phone. I said as I turned my phone off and placed it on the nightstand next to the bed. Calamity said as she looked up to me. I said and kissed her on the forehead. She said as she laid her head on my chest. I said as I stroked her hair. She said softly and like that, we both fell asleep...
It was the day, finally. The day that we would get married. I have never been this excited before, but I'm also really nervous. I just hope that everything will go as planned. We put a lot of time and effort in this and I don't want to ruin this.
Right now, we were all at Lazy links. We completely changed the place to a wedding place. The isle was outside, where everyone was waiting. I was in the building, in a room with Brite and Sunny. Brite was doing my hair at the moment while Sunny did my make-up. Brite asked as she was lightly curling the tips of my hair. I replied. Sunny said in a supportive tone as she applied some highlighter. I said smiling. Brite said smiling as well. Brite did a few more things until she finished everything, and so did Sunny. Sunny said as she backed away. I stood up and walked to a mirror and stood in front of it. I was so stunned by how I looked. I was wearing a long laced, off shoulder dress.
And my hair was just loose as always, with the tips lightly curled, but I had a bride tiara on, which was shining a lot and was so pretty. I also had a veil attached to the back of my hair, which was so long that it even passed by the end of my dress. But I thought it was lovely. Lastly, I had some make-up on, such as a dark nude/pinkish colored lipstick. Some highlighter, eyeliner and mascara.

I said as I turned around to face them. Brite joked and we all laughed. Sunny said as she grabbed a small bouquet of flowers and handed them to me, and next pulling me by my arm. I giggled and followed her outside, where everyone was waiting, but I wasn't in their sight yet. Brite whispered before she and Sunny went off to the crowd and took a seat where everyone else was seated, and including the team. Technique and Abstract were also here, because me and Drift didn't want to forget about them, so we invited them. I peaked some more and saw Drift stand at the end of the isle, with the priest. I then heard the ceremony music play, so I knew it was time.
I took a deep breath and started walking down the isle, while everyone was watching. I felt nervous as everyone stared at me, but I just looked at Drift as he started at me. I couldn't hold it back and smile as I got closer, until I made it and now stood in front of Drift. I blushed as we looked at each other in the eyes. Then the priest started to say the vows. The priest asked as he looked at Drift. Drift said as he looked at me, making me blush even more. The priest asked me as he looked at me.I said without any hesitation. The priest said as he looked at Drift. Drift came closer held my waist as I put my arms around his neck. He then kissed me and I kissed back, while the crowd was cheering and applauding. I couldn't hold it but felt a tear leave my eye. As soon as Drift broke the kiss, he noticed it and wiped it away and we smiled at each other. And after that, we all just partied, ate cake, had drinks, and danced until it was late evening and dark outside.
As everyone was gone, and everything in Lazy Links was back to normal, Drift sat on a white, wooden swing bench, with flowers swirled around the poles that held the swing bench it self. I walked towards him and sat on his lap. He held me with his arms secured around me, and we were watching the stars as the swing bench was slowly swinging back and forth. I said softly as I looked at the stars. He said, and I looked up to him. He kissed me on the lips as I kissed him back.
We watched the stars for another 30 minutes, until we decided to go back home. As we made it back home, we went upstairs quietly, making sure not to wake up Brite and Raptor. We both put on our nightwear, while I put off my tiara and make-up. We both got in bed and I rested my head on his chest as he put his arm around me. As I felt exhausted, I just let my eyes close. I heard Drift whisper before I fell asleep in his arms.

Eli Stuart and his fiancee Patricia Secord find themselves thrown into a strange world. Trapped in a land of hostile magic and alien politics, the two of them must use their newfound powers to make alliances, stop their enemies, and ultimately reunite. However, something goes wrong. In this chaos, as the world begins to unravel in foul ways, something else stirs. Something else found its way through. Author's Note: I will update this story as often as I can. I am quite busy and write this during breaks at work. This is one of those goon-squad stories with a million characters, so "dizzying" might be a good way to describe the energy. Much of what builds up to the first arc happens in the first ten chapters, which are quite long. For that reason, if you have difficulty getting through the story, I understand, though things don't really start happening until Chapter 8-10.
