《Only you can make me feel better... (Calamity x Drift)》Chapter 21: Feeling betrayed

It was still midnight and I was running over the grass. Those idiots thought they could just keep me in that cell, but no. I always have a bobby pin with me on my right side bra strap. It would always fall out of my hair if I put the pin in my hair so I just put it on my bra strap. And you can guess it. I opened the door with the bobby pin and just walked away. But I heard the team talking so I decided to eavesdrop and it was worth it.
They were talking about someone named Plague who can make potions. They wanted to call him so that he could 'help' me but John was really hesitating. So I thought he wouldn't call him and that I could take the chance. I was thinking about maybe asking for a potion that I could use against the team. Something like that would knock them out and then I could just kill them in their precious sleep. Or a potion that could kill them right away. I know Oblivion had another task for me after I kill the SSDT but she didn't tell me what it was. I don't even know where she and Omega are right now. I really hope they didn't get sucked up in that dimension. But if they orb they had is broken, then I fear the most... That they are gone. Oblivion did tell me some more about the orb so I know some stuff...
So now here I am just trying to find Plague but just as I mentioned Omega and Oblivion, I was hesitating. Should I find Plague first or go to the villain base to find Omega and Oblivion? I think I should check on those 2, hoping they are still at the villain base.
After some running, I finally made it inside the villain base. I walked inside and saw it was a mess from the fight earlier. I shouted for them but no answer. I walked towards the area where the orb was, also where Omega and Oblivion fought the team. I walked inside the area and widen my eyes. The orb was gone... But how though? I thought the orb was very strong... Just to make sure, I went searching the whole base. After an hour, I gave up on hope. They were really gone. They are stuck in that dimension now forever. I sighed and just walked to the bedroom I was in when I woke up. I took my coat and hat off and just laid the bed, not caring about pulling the blankets over me. I closed my eyes and fell into a dreamless sleep.
I woke up and opened my eyes. I put my coat and hat on and left the room. I walked in the equipment room to grab a legendary deagle for defense, because I was planning on leaving this place now, searching for Plague. But when I wanted to leave the room, I heard footsteps. I quietly opened the door and peeked outside, to be met with a... A werewolf? He was walking to the cell area but before he could open the door of the cell area, I stepped out of the room and I pointed my gun at him. I said. I startled him a little and turned around and put his hands up in the air in surrender when he saw me with a gun. He begged. He had a low and dark voice.

I asked, with my gun still pointed at him. He explained. I asked curiously. He said. I lowered my gun and he lowered his hands. I walked towards him, inspecting him a little.
I asked. He asked in surprise. I nodded. I asked. He said. I grinned. I murmured. He asked. I replied. He asked. I said smirking. He said with a light growl, looking down. He said looking up with a grin. I chuckled and looked at him. I said, pointing to the equipment room. He nodded and walked inside the room, closing the door behind him. I just waited here for him.
But I faintly heard him talking but couldn't really hear what he was saying. Who was he talking to though? There ain't anyone here then us. Just when I wanted to go eavesdropping, he left the room with a legendary scar. He walked towards me and I just stared at him sort of suspiciously. I asked when he stood next to me.He said slightly nervous. I said and walked towards the exit, with... this werewolf behind me. Wow I don't even know who he is... What a way to meet someone.
Just when we went of the mountain and started walking to Plague, I thought I'd ask him his name. I said sort of in a questioning sentence. He answered a little stuttering. I said glancing over to him. He said. Cal... That nick name was sort of familiar, yet again not. We just kept on walking in silence, until I broke it. I said a little giggling and he laughed a little. He said explaining. I replied. He nodded and we just continued on walking.
We arrived at Salty Springs and we walked towards the blue house. Dakota said and rang the doorbell. Seconds later, a man opened the door. He had a sort of hat on and a beak mask. I assumed this was Plague, because he had a belt around his waist that held small potion bottles. He said and stepped aside to let us in. We stepped inside and Plague closed the door. Plague mentioned us to follow him and so we did.
He led us to the stairs that led down to the basement. As we made it down, he went under the stairs but it confused me because there was nothing. He pushed some boxes aside and went trough a opening, jumping down. I was sort of surprised he had a secret way leading down even further. Me and Dakota jumped down to and saw a whole laboratory. Plague said turning to us, as I inspected the laboratory in awe. Dakota said Plague asked. Dakota replied. Plague said and slightly sighed. I asked. Plague said and walked towards a glass cupboard.
He opened the doors and grabbed a small glass bottle with purplish liquid/smoke inside of it. He closed the doors again and walked back to me and Dakota. He said as he held it. I tended to grab it but he pulled it back. He said in a serious tone. I crossed my arms and just listened to him. Plague explained.

Me and Dakota nodded. I asked getting a little impatient. Plague said with a slight low voice. I got confused because he sounded like he had the intention to use it on me and Dakota. I mean... Would he? Or does he have something like a guinea pig to use it on?
Before I could even react, Plague quickly pulled Dakota away from me and threw the potion next to my foot. I jumped as it startled me and smoke began to appear around me everywhere. I couldn't see anything because the smoke covered my sights around me. I yelled and covered my lower face with my arm, even though I had my bandanna on. I immediately felt like my body was getting weak, and I collapsed on my knees..I started coughing from the smell. In a matter of seconds, everything went black.
I started waking up and slightly opened my eyes. I groaned a little as I noticed I had a headache. Are you kidding me? I already had enough headache's by now. I tried to move but I couldn't. I looked down and saw I was tied up in a chair. My wrists tied behind me and my legs to each chair leg. Great. Just great...
I heard footsteps in front of me so I looked up. I saw I was still in the laboratory. Plague was standing in front of me together with... Dire?! I stare at those two with dagger eyes. I asked coldly. Dire said with sorrow in his voice. I raised my voice, getting angry with my blood boiling in my body. Dire said. I said, almost yelling. Plague said crossing his arms over his chest and walking to a different glass cupboard, grabbing what looked like ingredients and just did his work at the table, leaving me and Dire.
I turned to Dire and stared at him coldly. Dire noticed my look and furrowed his brows and looked sadly at me. Dire said rubbing his neck. I started with a low voice. I yelled loudly in anger, causing me to shoot forward but of course I was held back by the ropes. Dire said coming closer and soon stood on my left, putting his right hand on my left shoulder. I shrugged his hand off my shoulder. I threatened with a cold voice. He said trying to be a smart ass. I asked smirking. Dire said crossing his hands over his chest.
I said glaring at him. He asked chuckling a little. I said tensing up. Dire said getting close to my face, causing my head to back up a little.
He was staring at me with a smirk as if he was winning a competition. I stared at him with a cold look. I said with a low voice. Dire said with a low chuckle. I sighed. Not Drift again.
Dire chuckled while he went trough his hair with his hand. Dire said smirking. I said convincing him. Dire said.
Before I could even say anything, he just rested his left hand on my stomach. I tried moving away a little but no luck. With his fingers, he was lightly pressing my stomach. I didn't understand how this was going to proof anything, until I felt a kick in my stomach, causing me to jump a little and gasp. I widen my eyes and just thought of what happened. Dire removed his hand and looked at me. Dire asked. I just stared at the concrete floor in front of me with wide eyes. A tear escaped my eye, as I just really realized a baby is growing in my stomach. I mumbled while still staring at the ground. Dire said softly putting his right hand on my left shoulder. I said, and suddenly felt a horrible pain in my head, as if something was taking over me.
I grunted in agony and bent over a little, as I started struggling in the ropes. Dire asked worried. Plague turned around and inspected the situation. I felt his hand on my forehead. Plague said and quickly went back to the laboratory table to continue with the potion. Dire put his hands on my shoulders and stared at me with a worried face. I felt the pain in my head leave me, so I relaxed and calmly breathed out.
Dire asked. I looked up again and stared at Dire with a cold look. I said and chuckled. I heard Plague say from across the big room while he was working on that potion. I was saying something to Plague until Dire untied my bandanna and removed it. He quickly tied it around my mouth, making me unable to speak. I grunted in annoyance and coldly glared at Dire as he stood in front of me now. Dire said and just left the basement. And then I was left alone with Plague, but he had his back turned against me. I still tried struggling my wrists and legs but of course it didn't work, just like Dire just said. I let out an annoyed sigh, and just gave up, played the waiting game...

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all. The Trial of Aeons will soon arrive. Book 10: Destiny Divine Synopsis: ??? Release frequency: one every few days or something, I guess.
