a/n- this is my version of an epilogue
~
Link and Zelda walked through the open fields of Central Hyrule, hand in hand. Behind them was Hyrule Castle Town, which had been given some life once again thanks to them. The restorations were coming along quickly, and just looking at the products of their work was enough to put smiles on their faces.
It was a beautiful spring day and the sun was shining brightly in a clear blue sky. The sunlight was warm and inviting on their skin, spreading all over and giving them a peaceful, happy feeling inside.
The two of them had recently been occupied with wedding plans, anxious and excited to finally be married. Though they were trying to make it happen quickly, they also wanted everything to be perfect, and as a result, they were still making preparations.
Zelda was simply pleased with the fact that he was ready; her waiting had indeed paid off in the end. Every time she looked into his lovely blue eyes, she felt butterflies in her stomach and a warm feeling in her heart as she thought about the rest of their lives together. After all of the struggles they had endured, both alone and together, this was their reward.
And she could not think of anything better.
Link was overjoyed as well. He often thought about all of the mistakes he had made regarding the princess. In fact, it was often why he couldn't sleep at night. He considered himself to be blessed by the goddesses. After he had hurt her so much, Zelda still loved him more than anything else, and that was incredible to him. She was so kind and patient and wonderful, and he was angry at himself for taking that for granted.
However, he had always known that she was the most important thing in his life, and he made sure to cherish and praise her every day. That was what she deserved.

The two of them came upon a patch of Silent Princesses, which were a common sight in Hyrule at that point. Link knelt down to pluck one. He held it before Zelda.
"A traveler I met once told me that if two people swear their love before a freshly picked blossom, they will live a charmed life." The princess smiled sweetly, a sight that still made him fall in love with her all over again.
"All right." She let out a jovial, silvery laugh. "Link... I cannot even express how grateful I am that fate has tied us together. You are a part of me, and you bring out my best. I have spent so much time waiting for you because I know that you are the only one for me, and you know that too. I would wait one hundred more years for you if I had to. Even though things were not always perfect for us, you have shown kindness to me and you make me feel loved whenever it is possible. You are the only family I have now, and I am always at home when I am with you." She looked into his eyes and she saw a look of love and pure bliss.
"Zelda.." He started, "Oh, Zelda... I can never make it up to you. You are the most wonderful part of my life, a gift from Hylia herself. I can never express how sorry I am for all of the waiting I made you do, and all of the heartache that came with it. I feel like I have been blessed to have been given another chance. I hope you know that I love you more than anything I have ever known. I would do it all again, I would die a hundred deaths, all for you. I do not remember everything that has happened to me, but I could never forget you." He could see tears forming in the corners of her eyes as she looked upon him with reverence and joy.

"I love you. I swear I do with all of my heart and soul."
"I love you too, Zelda. I promise that I speak the truth. I love you more than anything else."
He tucked the Silent Princess behind her ear, his gaze never leaving her emerald eyes. He pulled her close, pressing her lips to her. She grinned against him, a feeling of rapture and love and euphoria sweeping through her. In that moment, things were finally perfect. It was as if time had stopped and the world around them had disappeared, and now it was just the two of them together, and nothing else mattered. After all of the pain and suffering that had been forced upon them, things were finally beginning to look up.
And Link and Zelda did indeed live a charmed life, together.

Release schedule: Thursday and Sunday at 12:00am CST. The world of Uneira is a desolate wasteland full of horrors and danger behind every rock, every bush, and every scraggly tree. Except for inside the Chalices, humanities frontiers and city states that have been protected by colossal white shimmering walls for generations. Only the most exceptional people brave the Unholy Wastes. But, inside of the Aetheline Chalice in its capital of Aethel, rank and status is determined by talent, skill, and archetype, but those that are extraordinary compete for prestige in the Pageship Games, where they’ll climb up the ranks to stardom or earn the right to carve a name for themselves in the Unholy Wastes after winning. *Magic is split up between Talents, Skills and Archetypes. It's my approach with a System like story without the system or other front-end applications of one. It's going to start as a bit of a slowburn coming of age, but that's really only for the first book. **There are three POV characters: Theodran, Modran, and Alanna.
