Lucy❀
"Well, my Grandma Anna wants me to move to America with her," I started, everyone listening intently on what I had to say.
"She said there'd be plenty of opportunities there," I fiddled with my thumbs.
"How long would you be gone Lucy?" Levy asked darkly.
"The rest of my senior year," I breathed out.
"What was your answer?" Natsu blurted, slamming his hand on the table.
"I haven't given her an answer yet," I sighed, "I wanted to ask you all about it,"
"L-lucy, if this is what you r-really want t-then go for it," Erza smiled, placing her hand over mine.
"What friend would I be if I was selfish?" Levy placed her hand in.
Juvia's face contorted, "Sure, I would miss you a lot, but I know we would see each other again," She placed her shaky hand in.
"Yes," Jellal sighed, placing his in.
"I guess, if that's what you want," Gajeel huffed.
Natsu and Gray sat there, not answering.
We stood in front of the track, Natsu and Gray still not saying anything. It was still eating at my brain. Maybe I should go, see what America is like. If I don't like it, I could always come back, right?
"Lucy," Levy nudged me.
"Hm?" She pointed to the track.
"Oh," I walked to the track standing there.
"Go!" Coach yelled.
I ran as fast as I could, my legs burning. I panted, watching the white lines on the track in front of me. My heart burned, my lungs breathing heavily. I felt free. Maybe I shouldn't go? I stopped, leaning on my knees.
"No...Lucy!" I scolded myself.
"This is your decision!" I ran faster, passing everyone else.

My bag slung over my shoulder as I stepped into Mirajane's café.
"Mira, I could use a strawberry milkshake," She rushed to the counter.
"Lucy!" She smiled, hugging me over the corner.
"I'll go make you that milkshake," She ran back.
I walked up to an empty table, sitting down. I should go.
"Here you go," She set the milkshake in front of me, sliding into the chair across from me.
"Thank you Mira," She grinned.
"What brings you here?" Mira asked, watching me drink some of the milkshake.
"Well, I have an opportunity to go to America, but some of my friends don't want me to go. I know it's my decision but I'm not sure what to do," I explained, Mira's face twisted.
"A-America?" I nodded.
"Well," She grabbed my hand, "Even if I don't like the idea, and I'm sure your friends don't either I think you should," She smiled.
"Besides, 'in the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take' right?" She stood up, leaving to go to another customer.
I should go, maybe I will have new opportunities. I mean sure, I'll miss my friends but....no.
"Mira," She walked over to me, "Made up your mind?"
I nodded, "I'm staying here,"
She smiled, "I'm glad,"
"In all honesty, I just said the words I said to boost your confidence, because Lucy," She grabbed me hand, "You only do these things for yourself, you only listen to yourself, and you don't let anyone tell you differently."
Some tears fell out of my eyes, "Thank you Mira," I hugged her, handing her money.

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
