Lucy❀

I wasn't alone in this huge house anymore, I had my Grandma.

"So Lucy," Grandma Anna started.

"How's school?" Grandma Anna was currently cooking us some spaghetti.

"School is great, I have tons of friends!" I beamed, smiling at her.

"When can I meet them?" I put my finger to my chin.

"Wednesday afternoon?" She nodded, focusing on the stove.

"When are Mama and Papa coming home?" Grandma Anna's eyes widened.

"Soon," Grandma Anna's face softened into a sad smile.

"I suppose your father hasn't told you, has he?" The wooden spoon in her hand started to shake.

"T-tell me what?" My throat grew tight, and dry.

"Your mother, s-she has grown gravely ill." My hands found themselves covering my open mouth, and my eyes widened, not bothering to cover the water in my eyes.

"When did t-this happen?" I stuttered, watching as my Grandma shook her head.

"A long time ago Lucy," Grandma Anna took the spaghetti off the stove, pouring into the strainer.

It was silent. I didn't want to believe it. My mother, the one who gave me those earmuffs, and kept me from hearing the storms, she was ill. I made my way to the sink, pulling some spaghetti into my bowl.

"I'm sorry you had to hear it this way," My Grandma put her hand on my upper back, rubbing it in a comforting manner.

"At least I know something," Those were the last words I said before eating my food and walking up the stairs.

"Plue," I called him, pouring some food in his dish.

Plue came out from under my bed, eating some food.

It was now Sunday, and Grandma Anna was out grocery shopping. I walked into my large backyard, admiring the garden. Millions of questions were racing through my mind. All of them wanting to be answered.

"Why?" Escaped my lips.

It made no sense. Why wouldn't mama or papa tell me? Why wouldn't they call throughout the years? I've been so lonely, and lost without their guidance.

The stone pathway I was following lead me through the garden. The tulips mother had planted still growing. Eventually I reached the gazebo, sitting inside it.

"What am I supposed to do? I don't know where they are," My palm rested on the table, holding my chin.

"Your Grandma said I'd find you out here," I looked toward the voice, seeing Juvia.

"Hey Juvia," Juvia walked over, sitting next to me.

"Lucy, what's the matter?"

"Everything," Juvia looked at me confused.

"Hey now," Juvia grabbed my attention, "Not everything is the matter. We're still here for you, right?" I nodded, giggling lightly.

"Yeah," I put my arm down, turning to Juvia.

"How are you doing?" I asked Juvia.

"Well, let's just say...mama's pregnant," I face palmed.

"Another one? You already have eight siblings, other than yourself!" I exclaimed.

"I know," She sighed, putting on some hand sanitizer.

"You have a nice garden Lucy," Juvia examined my garden.

"Thank you," I giggled.

"Lucy," Juvia sighed.

"What?" Juvia grabbed my hand, and I knew it was serious. She never grabs my hand unless it's serious.

"Lisanna, she's back." I gripped Juvia's hand.

"Lisanna." It rolled off my tongue like venom.

"Mira isn't too happy about it," Juvia started, "She called Levy about it yesterday."

My jaw clenched, "That backstabber,"

Juvia let go of my hand, applying hand sanitizer.

"When are we going to get some relief?" Juvia sighed.
