Later that same night after getting back from the restaurant summer woke up "Aaron what are you doing...?" Summer says sleepily as Aaron climbs out of bed and makes lots of noise as he pulls on some clothes, "I can't sleep so I'm off to have a walk on the beach..why do you wanna come with me?" she nods softly getting up and feeling around on the floor for her warm hoodie which was actually his that she'd stolen, she slips it on and zips it up as it was rather chilly outside, "You ready yet lazy butt~" Summer pushes him playfully out the door, "Shut up." she whispers as they both make there way out of the room and down to the beach, "wow it's really beautiful with the stars reflecting on the water..." They sit on the beach next to one another staring at the ocean as the waves go back and forth, "Today was fun but never go down that stupid slide ever again please." Aaron chuckles Summer nods in agreement looking away as she blushes at how close their hands were to one another, "yeah it was nice to spend it with you even when I nearly died." she smiles Aaron looks at her, "I enjoy being around you...you make me feel like the happiest guy in the world!" He chuckles feeling his heart beat faster and Summer goes red, "r-really...you feel like that around me?" he nods and puts his hand on hers,
"They're just something about you that makes me feel this way your so smart, beautifully brave, intelligent, you have a funny sense of humour, this fiery personality and much much more that I could go on for forever" he leans in to kiss her, they kiss softly a little awkward since it was her first kiss, "A-Aaron." she blushes Aaron looks away blushing too, "y-yeah?" Half expecting her to say something about the kiss Summer stands up, "It's getting really late and I am struggling to stay awake so I'm off back to the house.." she walks off blushing softly with her hands in her pockets. As she gets back into her and Aaron's room she slumps down onto the bed but before she can take off her shoes she fell asleep, Aaron came in a little later seeing her asleep and takes off her shoes and hoodie tucking her in, he leans down and kisses her forehead "Night..." as he climbs into bed next to her holding her close...

Summer is making pancakes in the apartment kitchen as Gene helps her, Aaron watches her from the table blushing softly, "huh? Aaron?" Kayla wafts her hands in front of his face, he blushes more as he stares at her, "Aaron? Aaron! AARON!" she shouts and he snaps out of it looking at her confused, "Huh, what? Kayla did you say something?" she giggles smirking, "hehe you were distracted by something or rather someone?" he blushes more leaning his head on the table, "Was it that obvious..?" she giggles sitting down in the chair next to him, "Very much so, but it's super cute, you are totes into her!" Aaron looks away blushing still, "It's just...I've been wanting to talk to her about something but it's kinda....uh, I don't know..." Kayla gasps slamming her hands down on the table, "Are you gonna pop the question?" Aaron goes red, "What?! No! No, not that!" He covers his bright red flushed face to hide his embarrassment, "I mean, we've only known each over for a couple of months would it be too soon?"
Gene leans too close to summer as he helps her with breakfast, Aaron clenches his fist, "Hm, well.....Wait. why is Gene over there with her?" Aaron's eyes flash red as he stares at Gene, "Is he getting closer to her or is it just me?" Kayla tilts her head, "She's making pancakes for everyone, and...Gene's helping..." Summer giggles, "Gene your getting syrup everywhere!" she pushes him away playfully syrup on her hands as she pushes him, he laughs, "Well your getting flour everywhere soo..." he picks up some flowers throwing it back at her playfully, they both laugh together, "Grrrr...." Aaron growls Kayla puts a hand on his shoulder, "Calm down there just playing you're getting rather protective of your none girlfriend..." Gene grabs her hips, "You know that apron looks really cute on you" He winks and summer blushes Aaron growls again, "I swear he does that again he's going out the window!" Kayla waves her hand about, "Good doggy be calm and not kill your friends." Summer walks over a plate in her hand and places the plate in front of Aaron, "Hey there Aaron, I made a special plate of pancakes just for you!" she smiles as Aaron looks down at the pancakes with a heart design.

From the intimate narrative of a childhood that was never her own, her year spent struggling to find the person she is rather than the person her family needs her to be, the secrets she hides, and the truths she finds, Halle discovers herself on the fabled island of Providence as her House collapses around her, bids to enter a legendary school of magic in her homeland of Auctor, and fights for a crown she never knew she wanted. 8 132The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
