《Going Back to You (A Madara Uchiha fanfiction)》Chapter 19- Mao, Masato, and Kyou

~~~~~chapter nineteen~~~~~
Inuzuka Kyou, Kina's son, was the source of Mao's anger.
He was Masato's best friend and partner-in-crime.
He would be quite popular with the girls with his good looks if it weren't for the fact that he was a big prankster.
If Mao was honest, she'd admit that she had quite a small crush on him when they were kids which disappeared immediately when he jokingly put a cockroach in her hair.
~~
A horrified scream came from her as she swatted it out, throwing it back at him. "Gross!"
He laughed loudly, exchanging a high five with Masato, which made Mao hit both of them in the head.
She shook her head. "This is why you aren't popular, Kyou," she said then turning to her brother. "Each prank adds to the list of fangirls my brother has because he is so "kind" to apologize to the girls you pranked." She rolled her eyes.
~~
His pranks were tolerable most of the time. Sometimes, he grew overboard though, even going so far as to making Mao cry although he swore that he didn't mean it.
Although he did that, he was truly sorry and remained still as Mao hit him.
"Jerk!!!"
"Yes, I'm sorry!"
He himself looked like he was about to cry as he took the hits since Mao was actually quite strong.
Masato merely laughed at his misery while comforting his sister.
~~
Mao didn't know how to react when the three of them were announced to be in the same team.
"Why Kyou?" she protested.
"Well, you two seem to get along like a married couple."
Masato laughed. "Battered husband."
Her face fell and she slumped on the table.
"My teammates are idiots..."
"Hey!!!" the two guys protested. "We're not!"
"Masato-kun is not an idiot," one of his fangirls defended. "Well, maybe a little bit but Kyou's definitely more idiotic." His fangirls wanted to defend him so much but they couldn't deny that his twin was right.
Despite Mao's relationship with Kyou, she got along well with his canine Kai.
Kyou would sometimes catch his dog playing with Mao. He would scream something along the lines of "traitor" to his dog for leaving him for someone he hates, which Masato would laugh hysterically at.
"Kai's definitely better than you," Mao said, her childish side showing only to Kyou.
"He's better than you too!"
~~
Kyou was in a denial stage. He has had a small crush for Mao since they were kids but wouldn't admit it. A lot of those pranks of his would be for attention.
Mao wasn't the type to cry easily because of his pranks though she sometimes wanted to. That fact made Kyou like her more since she could tolerate him more than anyone. He didn't know his limits sometimes though, due to the fact that she never cried. The day she cried, however, was the day Kyou actually regretted prancing someone.
It made him even guiltier when Mao actually forgave him and told him that it was nothing and to forget it even happened.
Masato, meanwhile, has been living his own childhood knowing both of their feelings for each other.
Their teacher knew it too.
~~
Mao was the one who usually rescued them when they get into trouble while the two were the power sources. She was the rescuer along with their teacher because she actually thought of her actions before doing them, unlike the two idiots.
Actually, Kyou had made her cry a lot.
It was one particular mission that she cried again in front of him. It was because she thought he had died. He had made a huge mistake when he almost died, being captured by the enemy.
She had hit him a lot though it lacked the usual power because she was too happy to know he had survived than angry at him for almost messing up the mission and die.
Of course, Masato and their teacher Seo worried about him too but it was nothing compared to Mao's. That was when they confirmed her feelings for him, and it amused them greatly.
Before they confirmed that Kyou was alive, Mao was actually livid with rage at the enemy. That was when her sharingan awakened. Luckily, it was just her and Masato. Seo was battling another enemy.
That was time that the twins confirmed that they were indeed Uchihas. They tried their best to let Mao control it though since it would be bad if Seo sees her eyes.
They killed their enemy as well, so that there are no witnesses.
Masato awakened his during another mission when his twin almost died in front of his eyes. He was too distracted by that fact to notice that he had awakened his. Seo and Kyou had to rescue her instead.
A/N
More about the twins and some parts of when they're academy students and genin
Sorry if Mao and Kyou's love story bores you or something but I think they're important characters XP
Maybe I can write Masato's as well?
Something interesting will happen lol
Suddenly, a succubus
The protagonist is a personality like an iceberg: introspective, asocial and completely uninterested in the world and its people beyond necessity. Approaching ships beware! A succubus, on the other hand, lives for desire and interaction, playing mortal hearts like a fiddle. These clearly mix like oil and water, so what do you get when you combine them? This is a story of that kind of emulsion. *** Completed with 62 chapters + epilogue (total of 111k words). *** This novel is bit of an experiment for me. I haven't written fiction before, for one. I also chose a character context that I normally wouldn't, and let the characters drive the story, especially in the beginning. Overall the main focus will be the main character's own story rather than the events of the world. The setting itself uses many familiar fantasy elements, though I plan to add my own twists. Note that I'm not really planning to write any steamy scenes, despite the said character context being literal demons of lust and all. There are of course jokes and scenes that skirt around the subject, but this is not a romance story of any kind. So, is it a mess? Probably. But I hope it's an entertaining one at that.
