《The Entire Sky | Madara Uchiha》20

Madara had kept to himself since the night with Sen. He went from work to his home and only entertained necessary visitors. It's better for me to be solitary, he thought. I'm sure Sen is happier now anyway.
It was mid-afternoon and he was in his office, pouring his attention into a huge stack of paperwork whenever a knock at his door broke his trance. He bid them entrance and a young courier informed him that he had a visitor. He said to send them in and went back to his paperwork.
He heard the door close behind whoever entered moments later, but he didn't raise his head. A few seconds of silence passed before a sweet familiar voice filled his ears. "Madara? I was hoping I could have a word with you."
His head shot up and he came face to face with Sen. She looked nervous, but smiled at him anyway. Her beautiful little grin made his heart leap. He stood up and stepped to her, his hands beginning to sweat, as he swallowed hard and spoke, "Of course, Sen."
There was an awkward tension in the room as neither spoke for a long time. The entire way there, she had been practicing what she intended on saying. She begged herself to make words, but each time she felt a spark of confidence it fizzled away before a sound could come out.
Madara was quiet as he patiently waited on her to begin speaking. He could tell she was nervous and he hated that he was the cause of it. He had been kicking himself for the past few weeks for using his damned Sharingan on her. He thought it was the best option, but in hindsight, he knew it was a mistake. She had only seen his Sharingan once before whenever those wandering ninja tried to attack her. If only he had been more rational.

She looked around the room, blinking tears from her eyes. Don't cry, Sen. Stop it. You look so weak right now! Finally, she breathed deeply and admitted, "I made a mistake. I miss you."
"Don't cry," he gently cooed. He wrapped his arms around her small frame and breathed into her hair, "I missed you too."
As he held her, her fears of him diminished slowly. She relaxed into his chest and grasped the fabric of his haori between her fingers tightly. He smoothed her hair with his fingers and breathed easy for the first time in weeks.
"I'm so sorry," she apologized in a muffled voice.
"Don't be. I shouldn't have used the Sharingan so easily. I acted irrationally because I was hurt. None of this was your fault."
Madara kissed the top of her head. He never wanted to let her go. He looked out the windows and across the village, wishing he could freeze this moment in time.
"Sen?"
She looked up to meet his face. "Yes?"
"I promise that I'll never use my Sharingan on you again." His words were soft and sincere, and any remaining worry Sen had was completely erased.
They were both quiet as they held onto each other. He looks more striking than ever, she thought. His dark eyes gleamed with happiness as their fond gaze continued. There were no words that could describe how Madara felt, so instead, he kissed her deeply. She was weightless in his arms as they melted together. The kiss left them both longing for more, but for now, they would have to be satisfied.
"I have a meeting, I'll see you tonight, Sen. I promise," he whispered huskily in her ear, kissing her on the cheek before releasing her from his embrace.

"Don't keep me waiting too long," she called back as she opened the door. She turned, taking one final look at him.
Madara gave her a dashing smirk and wink before replying, "I'd never dream of it."

Overwrite

How A Villain Builds A Kingdom
READ THE WARNING Amadeus Devereux was born into a rich and powerful household. But he did not pursue power like his brothers because of his love for art, flowers, and poetry. Until one day, a servant arrived in the garden to see Amadeus smiling as if he was looking at a flower. Only this time, Amadeus was looking at the mangled corpses of two gardeners. ————————— Set in a fantasy world where magic exists, follow Amadeus as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Will he be able to feel emotions as others do? This is a novel that I wrote because I got tired of all the tropes that had transmigration, regression, deus-ex machina, etc. where everything that makes the main character reach the top is left to luck. —————————

The Destiny Detour
In a kingdom putting together the pieces after a series of devastating magical wars, trouble is brewing. At least that's what the Seer's vague warning to Princess Lillya claims. That warning sends young Sorceress Rosaliy and enigmatic ruffian Drake from one end of the world to the other searching for answers (and lost magical children). The Destiny Detour is third in the Black Pearl Series, but the events of this story occur 10 years after the first two, and it focuses on different characters in the world. It should be able to stand alone. If you are interested, the beginning of the series is available on Amazon and most e-book places: https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B01AYLLKK8

Voidsong (A NaNoWriMo 2018 winner)
Synopsys: The Empire thought humanity died, and forgot all about it. The Empire is mistaken. A Note From the Author: This story was written as a National Novel Writing Month 2018 entrant. As such, its entire 50,000+ word length was written between November 1, 2018 and November 31, 2018. Overall, I would consider this no more than a polished draft. In that vein, the chapters have no names, only numbers. Special thanks to Chronus on youtube for answering my questions on NATO radio procedures! My Apologies to the Finnish Language, which I have abused in (probably) unforgivable ways to create Twisted Empire names. If anyone is interested, break the names up by commas and toss them into your favorite translation program (I used Google Translate, and tried to avoid umlauts and other accents) for some semi bilingual boni. If I got something wrong (and I know I did… somewhere…) let me know over on reddit and I will see what I can do to fix the mistake. Lyrics, where included, are cited in footnotes.
