《Mito's Sister. (Uchiha Madara)》Chapter 4. Meeting? What Meeting?

Asami's POV.
''So.. Did something happen between Mito and you?'' Keiji asked as he put the cup with tea back on the table. ''You two seem a bit.. ignorant to each other.''
I smiled softly and shrugged. ''I don't know really..., but..''
Keiji frowned. ''But what?''
I sipped at my tea and sighed softly. ''Well, Mito and I were inseparable when we were just kids. She would always protect me and stand up for me.'' I put the cup back on the table and looked down at my lap. ''I got often in trouble back in the day, and Mito always helped me out. She would sometimes even take the blame for me.''
''What happened?'' Keiji asked curiously.
I swallowed thickly and shrugged again. ''I don't know precisely, but while Mito grew up, I still stayed that little kid. Some time later, I guess Mito got annoyed. I have to admit that I acted like a brat back then.. Anyway, Mito would always lecture me about my behavior, and I didn't want to disappoint her, so I tried to prove myself that. I wanted to become like her''
''It didn't work, did it?'' Keiji asked softy, sipping at his tea.
I shook my head and laughed sadly. ''Mito was so womanly, and she acted already like an adult. I admired her when she became more important to the clan. I tried to be like her, but I couldn't. Mito and I aren't the same, we are two totally different persons, with both different interests. After the destruction of Uzushiogakure, Mito wanted to take me with her to Konoha, but I refused.''
''Why didn't you just go with her?'' Keiji questioned.
I smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. ''I realized something..'' I spoke, smiling at the memory. ''I realized that I shouldn't follow Mito everywhere, but I should go my own way. I always wanted to be like Mito. I wanted to be an important part of the clan too, but I realized I could do that in my own way.''
''So you stayed behind to try to find the clan members who fled?''
I nodded and sipped at my tea again. ''Yeah. Some people were glad that I stayed behind for looked for their family. I know people are grateful to me, and I did it gladly. I liked it to travel around, and look for my clan members. I could go along with many of them. But when I arrived here, in this village, I was known as 'Mito's sister' again, just like before the destruction of Uzushiogakure.''

''What do you mean, Asami-san?'' Keiji asked confused.
I sighed softly. ''Mito's sister. I don't want to be known as 'Mito's sister', I want to be knows as 'Uzumaki Asami'. I know I am both her sister and myself, but you get what I mean, right?''
Keiji smiled and nodded. ''I think I get it. When I first met you I knew you too as Mito's sister. So if I'm right, you wanted me to know you as Asami?''
I smiled and held the empty cup on my lap. ''Yes, I know it might sound stupid and maybe a but harsh, but it really bothers me. I mean, do you like being called Uchiha-san's right hand the whole time? You would want to be called by your name too, right?''
''That's true. For only a few times I won't mind, but every time? Rather not.''
I smiled again and Keiji asked if I wanted some more tea. I politely refused and put the cup on the table. It doesn't only bothers me because they always call me 'Mito's sister', but since the relationship between Mito and me isn't really a good currently, it hurts me too. Mito doesn't treat me like I am her sister. I know I have only been trouble to her in our childhood, but isn't that time over? The trip I made before I went to this village changed me. I am not a selfish brat anymore.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Keiji speak. ''Madara-sama.''
I looked over my shoulder and saw Madara walking into the room. He frowned when he saw me, and looked at Keiji. ''Was is Mito's sister doing here?''
There it was again. I have a name! Keiji stood up and took my and his teacup. ''I just had a little talk with Asami-san.'' he replied as he brought he cups to the kitchen. I forced a smile while looking at Madara. ''Konbanwa*, Uchiha-san.''
''Hn,... konbanwa.'' he mumbled.
Keiji came back and smiled nervously. I sighed and stood up. ''It's already late, I have to go back home. I appreciate it you listened to me, Keiji-san. Thank you.''
''No need to thank me, I did it gladly.'' Keiji spoke with a grin on his face. I chuckled and looked onee more time at Madara before I walked towards the door.

''I'll walk you home, Asami-san.''
I looked over my shoulder and smiled at Keiji. ''You don't need to, I can take care of myself.''
''Keiji.''
Keiji and I both looked at Madara after he spoke his name. He was glancing at me. ''You'll stay here. I'll walk her home.''
Mito's POV.
''I told you she wasn't reliable.'' I muttered. Hashirama sighed as he wrote something down on some papers. ''She will have a good explanation.''
Hashirama and I both looked up when the door opened. Madara let himself in, not even bothering to knock before opening the door, and he looked annoyed at us.
''Madara, what are you doing here?'' Hashirama asked. ''The meeting is over.''
Madara sighed and crossed his arms over his chest. ''I found her.''
I stood up. ''Asami?''
Madara rolled his eyes and walked out Hashirama's office, and came back seconds later, dragging Asami with him. She looked innocently at both Hashirama and me, obviously not knowing what was going on.
''Where were you?!'' I snapped.
Madara released her arm and Asami frowned at me. ''I was at the Uchiha compound.. Why do you want to know?''
Did she forget? I glared at her. She has disappointed me again. Hashirama sighed and cleared his throat, catching Asami's attention. ''You weren't at the meeting this evening, Asami.'' he spoke calmly.
''Meeting?'' Asami looked at me quite confused. ''What meeting?''
She really did forget it. We talked about it so many times, and yet she forgets it. How can someone forget something so important?! ''The meeting you were supposed to be at! How could you forget?''
Asami looked at be, a little bit taken aback. ''Hey, I'm sorry, okay? No one ever told me about a meeting.'' she mumbled, slightly embarrassed.
''Asami, we talked about it during breakfast, did you forget?''
Asami's POV.
During breakfast? Did they talk about something like that during breakfast? I actually never listen to Hashirama or Mito. They almost always talk about clan stuff. I don't know anything about that stuff, so I didn't concern myself with it. It was not like I would understand it anyway. And why would they want me to attend a meeting? The only thing I would do is staring out of the window. I'm just not suited for that stuff.
''Asami? Are you still going to explain why you weren't there?'' Mito asked.
I heard Madara sigh and looked over my shoulder. His black eyes bored into my green ones, and I gulped a bit. ''Isn't it clear yet?'' he asked annoyed. ''It's obvious she didn't know about the meeting.''
''But we had talked about it.'' Mito glared at me and I looked away from her, ashamed.
''Then she didn't listen.'' Madara grumbled. ''If you don't mind, I'll be going now.''
Madara looked once more at me before he left, going back to the Uchiha compound.
I sighed and turned around to face Mito and Hashirama. This was awkward.. Before they could say something which would probably be insulting, I spoke up. ''Why do you even want me to be at a meeting, Hashirama-sama?''
Hashirama smiled warmly. ''You are my future sister-in-law, you will be more involved with the clan.'' he replied. ''And maybe you could learn from it. It's important for you to know what is going on in this village.''
I bit my lip and played with my fingers. This was so embarrassing! I felt like a small child that's being lectured by their parents! Hashirama must have noticed my uneasiness. ''It's okay, Asami. Just make sure you'll be there next time.''
I felt already more relieved and I nodded. ''Okay, I will be there next time, I promise!''
Hashirama smirked and Mito pursed her lips. She didn't look angry anymore. ''Asami.'' Hashirama spoke. He sounded already more serious, and I hesitantly looked at him. ''Remember our talk yesterday, after you came back?''
''Yes.''
''Then why did you leave without telling anyone again, and without taking anybody with you?''
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. ''I just went out to talk to Keiji-san, I don't need someone to come with me if I'm with him, and I forgot to tell anybody.'' I admitted
Hashirama's gaze softened. ''Just do it next time.''
''Alright.''

Charlotte Powers: Diary of a Would-Be Superhero
The journal of a girl who thinks she knows. (Spoiler: She does not know.) "...an odd combination of stream-of-conscious anxieties and high-flying save-the-world goals written by an overzealous, naïve teenaged girl in her wristwatch computer diary."-readers are better at describing stories than the writers who wrote them "When it's over you look up: the world looks the same, but you are somehow different and that feeling lingers for days."-bit OTT but I'll take it "...everything cannot just be good and then be even more good, in this story, right?"-100% accurate assessment "...the plot was bland and the character uninteresting. It was just a very dull read. I cannot recommend this book to anyone."-oh well can't win them all Discord for discussion. Complain about Charlotte's nonsense! Ship the characters! Do a thing! Now entering the second arc, Power Play. Things are getting serious. We're heading towards something important. Charlotte is still largely clueless. But she is trying so hard.

Stories Of Indlu
“… to grow, for opportunity, for adventure, to be free. Join the colony ship Nao Vittoria. Be the first to live amongst the stars.” It was obvious from the literature that the NextStar corporation wanted the young, the adventurous and the brilliant. So why were the super rich fighting over seats? Why were AI’s trying to stow away? Did this signify a premature end to human/AI civilisation? Why had some questions directed to NextStar been aggressively sidelined? Why did the colonist inflight entertainment trial produce fatalities? In fact, why colonists at all? Those and many other questions, however, boiled down to a single central question. Why was the world’s most advanced AI dumped with a hundred year babysitting job for 50 million people speeding towards an uninhabitable planet? It made such little sense. The only sure way to get answers, catch a ride on the Nao Vittoria and play the inflight entertainment game, Pax Domini. I joined, and this is my story. Well, I feature. OK, I’m more of a spectator. Actually, I’m completely irrelevant I was just there. I’m only the storyteller. But what a story to tell. --------- Hi All, Content will be published weekly usually Saturday and typical posts will be 25oo to 4ooo words per post. Though for some reason the Royal Road word count does not include the content of tables so some posts may not appear to meet this criteria. Currently I have written sufficient unedited content to keep this schedule for the next 12 months (half way through the first story arc). My current productivity would indicate that I can maintain this schedule for well into the second story arch. This also allows for the additional content that will be posed exclusively on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/StoriesOfIndlu). This additional content follows minor characters, peripheral events, maps and other content that does not take away from the main story. I would love to accelerate the post schedule but to meet this I need the assistance of more beta readers than I currently have. So please let me know if you are interested. - Andy ©2022 Andy Leauter. Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say. Most of these poems present conflict of the mind and allude to mental health struggles, which may be relatable to a certain community of people.Ranks -#3 in poem#3 in poembook#8 in poetry collection #7 in sadpoems#6 in poemcollection #7 in wisdom #15 in poetic
