"Yeon-ah!"

Hoseok stumbled back a bit as the small 7 year old boy, crashed with his body.

"Woah there, buddy!" Hoseok placed a hand over the child's shoulders, steadying him so that he won't fall on his back due to the impact.

"Kim Hyeon!!"

Sonmi's stern voice made both of them look at that direction, only to see her marching towards them with with frown on her face.

The child, Hyeon, quickly hid behind Hoseok, but not before he stuck his tongue out to Sonmi in a teasing manner.

"Hello, Auntie." Hoseok greeted Sonmi with a friendly smile, while the protective hand was still over the child's head.

"Hello, darlings." Sonmi gave a soft smile to Hoseok, Yeri and their son, before her expression turned to stern again. "Come out of there, you little terror. Or your father's gonna hear about what you did."

That made the small kid come out from his hiding spot and look at Sonmi with his bambi eyes. "Please, grandma, don't tell Appa."

Sonmi sighed. How he knew to use his doe eyes and pouting lips like that at such a small age, was a mystery to Sonmi. He knew exactly what he was doing.

"I won't. But you have to go and clean it up. Now run."

Hyeon pouted some more but eventually went away to clean his scattered toys. He was supposed to play only in his playroom, but being the bratty kid he is, the toys are scattered all over the living room.

"He's a handful, isn't he?" Yeri asked with a smile and Sonmi sighed again.

"Handful is not even enough to cover it, dear. I don't know whare he gets his brattyness. His parents were never like that. And Areum was an absolute angel when she was young."

The elders got startled a bit when the boy standing with his parents, made a small sound at that name. Like he's trying to clear his throat as quietly as he can.

"She's in the garden, love." Sonmi said with a soft smile, her heart instantly warming up to see the slight blush on the boy's face. "You should go say hi."

The boy blushed even more. "O-okay, I'll go now, grandma Sonmi."

There elders watched as the teenager walked towards the direction of the garden. At the age of 17, he about an inch taller than Hoseok. And very handsome. He'll grow up to be an amazing man one day.

"What's his favourite dish, Yeri?" Sonmi asked as she still stared at the retreating figure, with a soft smile on her face.

"Dak-galbi."

Sonmi turned to the younger women, both sharing a knowing look. "I'll teach her how to make it."

Taehyung looked up at the sound of his office door opening, already knowing who it was. There's only one person who dares to open the door without knocking first. His husband of 18 years.

"Hey, baby."

"Hi." Jungkook walked straight to Taehyung's chair and pushed it back a bit. "Hobi hyung is here."

Taehyung dared to glance back at the work he was doing, but smiled sheepishly when he noticed Jungkook's eye roll.

Guess he will have to complete it later.

Jungkook held his hand out and Taehyung gently grabbed it. Even after all these years, Jungkook’s touch makes butterflies flutter in his stomach.

""

Taehyung scoffed at the voice inside his mind. "As if you're any better!"

They reached the living room to see Hoseok and Yeri talking with Junghyun. Sonmi probably be running after Hyeon. That boy is making Sonmi be fit in her old age too.

"Hobi." Taehyung called in a friendly voice, making the group to look at them.

"Tae." Hoseok stood up for a short hug. "How are you?"

Taehyung gave a small laugh at that. "You're asking as if you haven't seen me in years."

"Well, maybe." Hobi winked teasingly. "But you're getting old so three weeks is a long time too."

Taehyung looked at his friend first and then at Yeri. "We are of the same age, you fool. If I'm getting old, so are you!"

They settled down a bit when Sonmi brought Tea and snacks. The little boy slowly walked and sat on his Appa's thigh. He's on his best behaviour when Jungkook's around.

But definitely not so much with Taehyung, who decided to wink at the boy, right at that moment, making the latter giggle before Jungkook gave a warning glare to both of them.

"So, what brings you here, Hoba?" Taehyung asked when they were done with Tea and small talk.

"Well, Minjun had wanted to go to a collage in Seoul, and apparently had applied for a scholarship. This kid didn't tell us anything cause he had been worried that he won't make but.." Taehyung paused to look at Yeri, who was smiling back proudly. ".. he got in."

A chorus of congratulations rang throughthe air, Taehyung extending his fist for a bump with Hobi's. Minjun had always been a genius child so it didn't come as much of a surprise.

"Where is he? Didn't he come with you guys?" Jungkook asked in a excited voice and Hoseok scratched his nape with a sheepish grin.

"He did.."

Hoseok let the rest of the sentence drag but Jungkook knew. They all did. Only a blind man would not see how Minjun gravitated around Jungkook's and Taehyung's 15 year old daughter, Areum.

"I'll go call them." Jungkook stood up from his seat, making Hyeon run to his dad.

However, he looked back at Hoseok and Yeri before he went. "We are very proud of him."

"Sky is pretty today, isn't it?" Areum's voice had this dreamy quality, or maybe that's just how it sounded to Minjun.

Minjun turned his gaze towards the sky for a second before turning to look at the pretty Omega again, as he had been doing for the past hour or so. "It is. But not more than you."

Areum blushed. She's used to Minjun's complements but that doesn't mean she's not affected by them. "You always say I'm prettier than everything."

"Cause it's the truth. Nothing Will ever be prettier than you. Atleast not to my eyes."

A comfortable silence feel over them. Minjun knew that Areum was a girl of few words. She would speak less, and opted to observe more. She spoke only when necessary but the few words that she would say, would leave a great impact on everyone.

"Areum-Ah."

"Hmm..?"

"I'm leaving soon."

That made the girl turn her head to look at the boy. "Where are you going?"

Minjun explained her about the scholarship and Seoul. She knew it had been his dream and passion to study Biomedical Engineering.

"I'm happy for you."

Minjun could see the genuine happiness and pride in her eyes.

Which made what he was about to say next a little easier. "Areum-ah?"

"Yeah?"

"I know you're very young and barely staring your life. And maybe it's very selfish of me to tell you something like this. But I know I will regret it, if I didn't say it now."

Minjun gulped a bit to calm his nervousness and Areum gave an encouraging smile at that.

"Areum-ah, I like you. I'm sure you must have noticed it, since I haven't exactly been subtle about it either. What I wanted to say is.. when I come back after 5 years and if there isn't anyone else in your life at that point, I'd like for you to give us a chance."

There was a silence for few seconds where Minjun waited for a response.

"5 years is a long time." Areum finally spoke up in a soft voice.

"Yes, it is. Which I why I won't ask you to wait. I know it's not fair. Many things can change in 5 years. And it's totally okay too."

"Yeah. It's totally okay." Areum's eyes shone with such warmth and Minjun was sure she was talking about him only.

She didn't want to tie Minjun down too. She was letting Minjun be free to fly away, only he knew that it was not necessary. How can he fly, when she holds his heart tightly in her palm.

"It's only when I return, and if both of us are okay with it."

Areum kept their gazes locked for few seconds before turning away. Minjun could see the soft smile on her face too.

"Okay."

"Okay."

Jungkook couldn't pretend to be not there for any longer so he cleared his throat. Two teenagers looked back at that sound with relax faces. They knew they were not doing anything wrong. They didn't had to look guilty.

Jungkook walked up to Minjun and hugged him tightly. "I'm so proud of you, Minjun-ah."

"Thank you, uncle."

"Come, everyone's waiting for you two. We need to have a party today."

Minjun chuckled and followed Jungkook to the living room of the pack house.

On their way back, all Jungkook could think about was how mature the two teenagers were. They talked about what's happening, laid all the cards down, discussed what they expect from each other and came to a decision together.

How different it had been from how him and Taehyung handled things, and they were 3 years elder than Areum and Minjun are now. True, their situation was much more complex than this, it was a life and death decision. Literally.

But Jungkook couldn't help but think. If they had sat down like this and talked calmly, they could have avoided whole lot of heartaches and a trip through hell.

As Jungkook said, a party was organised by the night fall. It was not a big one due to the short notice and only for the family and friends.

Jimin and Yoongi were the first to come. Being the police chief of the local station would mean Jimin could leave any time he wanted. Yoongi worked as a music teacher in the school so he was done before the evening too.

Jimin got himself transferred to Taehyung's Town after few years of staying in Seoul alone. Him and Yoongi had clicked very well with the first encounter itself and soon, it blossomed in to something else. Something more beautiful.

It was either Yoongi moved to Seoul or Jimin moved here, as things soon escalated to a point where the long distance was killing them. Metaphorically, of course.

When Jimin first moved, he was considered somewhat like a celebraty. Other staff in the station couldn't help it. Not when the pack leader's son brought Jimin his lunch, whenever the Luna made something special. Not when the next head of the pack came in the evening, and waited till Jimin finished his work to go have a drink together.

He quickly climbed through the ranks, although it had purely due to his own competence. Yoongi and him got married after about 2 years from Taehyung and Jungkook.

Next came Jin and Namjoon. They had moved here only few years ago. Junghyun had asked Namjoon to start a veterinary hospital, as it was something that had been missing in their town. Namjoon hadn't been that keen on moving at first, since he had been in Seoul his whole life.

Jin respected his decision. But Namjoon could see how he was beaming with happiness, whenever they were visiting Jungkook and others. Jin had left the pack life when he was barely of age, due to a mistreatment from his pack.

His Omega nature was used by his family and he was being forced to marry an Alpha. He left both his pack and family, and never looked back. He had lost all faith in the security offered by a pack, but after seeing Jungkook and Taehyung's one, he was yearning for that.

Jin's happiness is what mattered to Namjoon the most so they moved to Jungkook's city, where the pack welcomed them both with honour and open arms.

Life was calm and safe as it has always been, before all this trouble came their way.

After what happened, Seulgi stoped predicting futures for newborns. Her prediction was what led Taehyung to leave the pack. If his path hadn't been crossed with Bogum, none of this might have happened.

But then again, maybe it would have happened, but in a different way. No one can deny the magic in her prophecies. Maybe it was self-fulfilling or maybe it was always meant to be.

But the thing is, future is not set in stone. It's our actions that shapes our future. It might be little easier to know the general direction of your life's flow but it will be just as magical to discover what it has to offer, by yourself.

Jungkook never wished for things to change. He accepted what happened and now he's moving on with his life. If anything, he knew that his hardship moulded him to be the man he is today.

He has a beautiful family, friends who treasure and cherish him like he's their own blood, a pack who honour and respect him as their Luna. And a mate, who would love him for all eternity.

Jungkook was looking at the moon, thanking the moon goddess for the life he has now. It had some ups and downs, he his rock bottom at one point too. But still, he wouldn't want it any other way.

He felt Taehyung's presence, even before he got the scent. Two hands sneaked over his waist, and Jungkook was gently pulled to a warm chest.

"What are you thinking, Koo?"

"Nothing." Jungkook glanced up at the moon again. "Just thanking her for my life."

"Hmm.. I should offer my thanks too, then. For giving me such a beautiful mate."

Few minutes of silence passed, as they both prayed.

"Hyungie.."

"Hmm.."

"Thank you for not giving up on me. I love you."

Taehyung kissed the side of Jungkook's head. "I love you too, baby. And I will always be with you."

"Till death do us part, right?"

"Hmm.. I don't know, maybe even after that. I don't think I'll let a small thing like death deny me your love."

Jungkook chuckled at that. "You're silly, hyungie."

Taehyung smiled happily too.

"Wanna go for a run?"

Jungkook turned back to look at Taehyung and nod his head enthusiastically.

Two majestic wolves, one dark as the night and the other, pure as snow, ran through the forest. When they got tired, they laid down on the grass, and looked at the beautiful moon.

And the moon goddess, smiled down at her two favourite children, content now that they got their happily ever after.
