"Thank you, uncle." Taehyung said in a relieved voice. "I'll finish this off as soon as I can... yeah, I will.. please be careful."
"He's home?" Jimin asked as Taehyung put the phone in his pocket.
"He's home." Taehyung's voice had a curtain edge to it. "How are we with those two?"
"Well, there wasn't much I could ask from Jisoo without making it look suspicious. Bogum and Rosé, Park Chaeyoung is her real name, are cousins. Not blood related though as the girl was adopted by Bogum's aunt. But according to Jisoo, their families are really close."
"Where does she live?"
"Jisoo didn't knew. And anyway, I don't think we should tackle her first. She's a witch after all."
""
"Calm down. We have to be careful when dealing with witches. We don't know what she has done to Jungkook and JK."
Jimin watched while Taehyung had his heated internal battle. Even he was beyond pissed off, Jimin could only imagine how enraged Taehyung and his wolf would be.
"I think the best way is through Bogum." Jimin said when Taehyung's attention was focused on him again. "Wouldn't be too hard to call him for a coffee, the man in infatuated with you after all."
Taehyung snorted at that. If what they are assuming is right, this whole mess is because of that infatuation only. Oh how he hated the Omega.
He watched as Jimin pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and waved it infront of Taehyung's face. "I got his number from Jisoo, again."
Taehyung gritted his teeth as he snatched the paper from Jimin's hand. Guess he have a date to schedule.

"Mom, I'm full!" Jungkook whined as his mother tried to feed him yet another piece of chicken from his Ginseng chicken soup.
Sonmi didn't pay any attention to Jungkook's whining and pushed the piece in to his mouth, mumbling that her baby looked like he had lost some weight, even though Jungkook strongly disagreed.
Junghyun watched with fond eyes at this playful banter between the mother and the son. It was almost too easy to pretend nothing was wrong. Only, he knew what it's not the truth.
Jungkook talked and behaved as he would normally do, maybe even a little more friendlier, but Junghyun noticed the subtle stares and even the smirks. Something was definitely wrong with their boy.

"Why don't you let him be for now, Sonmi. He must be tired from all the travelling. Let him rest a bit."
Sonmi put the chopsticks down with a huff while Jungkook gave a little chuckle.
"Thanks dad."
"Anytime, Kookie."
After few more minutes of small talk, Jungkook went up to his room, saying that he was tired. Sonmi watched her son's retreating steps, until he was out of sight.
"Guess Seoul changed him a bit." Sonmi said in a thoughtful voice, making Junghyun look at her curiously.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"I don't know." Sonmi shrugged. "He seem... bit off."
Junghyun was quick to give a reassuring smile to his wife, even though his mind was in full chaos. "I think he's just tired. Don't worry."
"Hmmm... maybe you're right."
Junghyun prayed to God for it to be so.

"I was surprised to get a call from you, actually." Bogum said as he sipped his coffee a bit. "Not after what happened the last time we met."
"Yeah, well, I realised I may have been a bit rude that day. I wanted to apologise."
Bogum raised his eyebrows at that. "Suddenly?"
"No, I've been meaning to do so ever since. Just didn't get the chance with.." Taehyung let the rest of his sentence trail off, and Bogum frowned at that.
"Jungkook?"
"Yeah." Taehyung faked a nervous chuckle. "He tend to fly off the handle whenever your name is mentioned."
"What about now?"
"He.. uhh... went home."
"Oh.."
A look of triumph flashed in Bogum's eyes at that news. He masked it almost immediately but not before Taehyung noticed it.
It was very hard to calm V from ripping the Omega's throat. Even though Bogum totally deserved it, they needed to know what happened to Jungkook and JK first.
"Yeah." Taehyung chuckled again. And this time, Bogum smiled with him too. "Say, do you wanna hangout a bit? I'll treat you for dinner."
Bogum smiled shyly at that. "I'd love to."

Yoongi stopped the car at the pack house and got out. Taehyung had called him and asked to check on Jungkook. He didn't exactly specified a reason but Yoongi could tell from his tone that it was important.

Anyway this is like the first time Taehyung had asked a favour from him and Yoongi had no problem in doing that. In addition to being his friend, Taehyung is the future leader of Yoongi's pack too.
He walked in to the front door and rang the bell. The door was opened by Junghyun after about a minute.
"Oh, Yoongi-ah. Come on in."
"Thank you, Alpha." Yoongi bowed politely before walking in to the pack house. "I heard Jungkook is back. Wanted to meet him."
"Yeah, he's in his room, I think. Stay for dinner, okay?"
Yoongi gave a little smile and nod. Junghyun gently pat the younger Beta's shoulder, before going back in to his office room.
Yoongi walked to Jungkook's room and knocked few times, but there was no answer.

"I hope you enjoyed the dinner, Bogum-ssi."
"I definitely did. Thank you, Taehyung-ssi."
"If it's alright with you, I want to drop you at your place."
"No that's okay. I can take a cab from here."
Taehyung gave a radiant smile, a one that he knew Bogum will not be able to resist. "I insist."
Bogum smiled shyly, as he gave a small nod at that. "Okay."
Taehyung opened the passenger door for the other, before getting on to the driver's side. For the first 15 or so minutes, they were talking. And then, Bogum suddenly feel asleep.
Just as Taehyung knew he would. After all, he was the one who put the mild sleeping drug in the Omega's wine glass.

Bogum woke up to the sensation of someone sprinkling water on his face. He was laying down on a sofa, and then was pulled to a sitting position by a grip on his forearm.
He looked around at what seem like a living room of someone's house. Taehyung was sitting in the armchair in front of him while Jimin sat on the armrest of the sofa.
"Hi there." Taehyung said in a tight voice, which had all the warmth of an icicle.
"Where am I? What did you do to me?"
Taehyung scoffed at that. "Relax, I didn't do anything. We are not low-levels like that. Just need answers to some questions."
Bogum looked scared. Normally Taehyung and V would be considerate towards the distress of an Omega but with this one, they knew it was not deserved.
"W-what questions?"
"Well, let's start with what you and that witch cousin of yours did to Jungkook's wolf?"
If Bogum looked scared before, he looked absolutely petrified now. "I-I d-don't know what y-you're talking about."
Taehyung sighed as he rubbed his nose bridge with his thumb and pointer finger. "Bogum-ssi, we both know resisting is pointless. I can get you to talk in a mere second but I'd rather not stoop that low. So please, answer the damn question!"
Bogum shut his lips tightly and shook his head. His entire body was shaking from fear but he still refused to tell what he knows.
Taehyung really didn't want to do it this way but guess desperate times truly do call for desperate measures. Anyway, he was having as extremely hard time keeping V at bay too. Only a hope of a consent was all it took for Taehyung's eyes to blaze with bright red.

Yoongi walked back from Jungkook's room as the latter didn't open his door. The pack house was quiet big so it is a possibility that Jungkook could be somewhere else so Yoongi decided to look for him.
There was this strange sense of worry in Yoongi's mind. He couldn't explain in properly but it was like something bad was about to happen.
Yoongi checked the garden first and the other areas. He poked his head in to the kitchen too, where Sonmi was making dinner. Jungkook was not there and Sonmi hasn't seen him in some time either.
The last place Yoongi had to check was the office room of Alpha Junghyun. The door was opened and alpha Junghyun was reading a paper file while standing over at the window. He was facing out, his attention solely on the papers in his hand.
Yoongi was just about to clear his throat and ask for permission to come in, when he noticed a shadow on the wall next to the Alpha. In the next second, he saw the figure that was making that shadow and his breath hitched.
It was Jungkook, with his hand raised, ready to strike Junghyun any second now.
With a murderous glare in his eyes, and a big, silver knife, clutched tightly in his palm.

Dungeon Scholar
Girl meets dungeon. What could go right? A story of a good-hearted Scholar driven by her compassion and curiosity. She might be a little combat averse, but um, isn't that only logical? Love me a good grimdark, but sometimes I want to read feel-good fiction that isn't pure action, romance, or comedy. The plot and characters of Dungeon Scholar won't be all happy and fluffy, and the world will be more dungeons and monsters than rainbows and puppies, but overall the sweet moments should overshadow the bitter. Let's say three dollops of sugar for every pinch of salt, with lemon slices left on the saucers? Enjoy. Note: This is NOT a typical dungeon story. If you are here for the dungeon aspect, then fair warning this will seem incredibly slow-burn to you. The dungeon will eventually become the most important 'character,' arguably, or the second-most important narratively, but you might jump out the window in frustration long before that happens. At its heart, the story's core remains 'girl meets dungeon,' not 'dungeon meets world.' (To be clear, this does or will have a plot! It's just the more conventional story-like elements contribute to Rowena Loress's greater story, not the other way around; no conflict takes center stage until it becomes personally significant to her. Meanwhile, have some Slice of Life.) Updates every Friday Cover made using Waifulabs Written using 4thewords (referral code: UZJRY55368)
