"Koo?"

"Hmm? Yes, hyungie?"

"Do you remember the little cat Mr Lee had? The one with a black scar over her eye?"

Jungkook looked away from the TV and looked at Taehyung with furrowed eyebrows. "Scar? I don't remember a scar. You're talking about the ginger cat right?"

Taehyung gave a sheepish smile at that. "Yeah. There wasn't a scar?"

"Not that I remember of." Jungkook gave a soft smile before going back to the drama they were watching.

Taehyung looked at the TV too but his mind was somewhere else. After the talk he had with Junghyun, they came up with two possible scenarios.

One, something had happened to JK, making him be suppressed so far in Jungkook's mind that he's practically undetected. Just like Jungkook himself did when Taehyung left. They just hope that he isn't completely gone, as that was not something they could even imagine happening.

Two, the person with them, was simply not Jungkook. It seemed rather farfetched but their world still has that sort of magic abilities, if one just put an effort to find it.

At first, this seem more likely because Jungkook was not as clingy as he Normally was. He spoke as he would normally do, but didn't initiate physical contact as much. Not that Taehyung was yearning to do so also. If this was not Jungkook, Taehyung didn't want to go 10 feet near him at all.

So to check that, Taehyung had been asking questions about incidents from their childhood, preferably ones that only he and Jungkook knew. And so far, Jungkook had answered them correctly. It was definitely his baby.

"I remember one day we try to give him some fish, and the poor cat bolted so fast that we got scolded from Mr Lee."

Jungkook chuckled at that. "That's because the fish were rotten. How could you not smell it, hyungie?"

"Yeah." Taehyung muttered distractedly. "I'm an idiot."

"Not that I have any objection, but why the trip down the memory lane lately, hyungie?"

"Huh?" Taehyung successful managed to hide his panic from Jungkook's curious eyes. "No reason. I was just thinking about home lately. Can't wait to go back."

"Yeah, me too." Jungkook had already turned his face away from Taehyung so the latter missed to see the smirk in it.

"Come on Koo, this is important."

"In what world is Cabbage important?!"

Taehyung stood there with the plate in his hand, unable to think of a convincing answer. "Uhh.. you know, it's filled with sulforaphane and is good for cancer prevention and heart health. So eat."

Jungkook looked at the fork that was extended towards him with scornful eyes. "Hyungie, you know I don't like them. It tastes bitter."

"Don't whine like a baby. Just eat."

Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows at that slightly commanding tone. "No, I don't think I will."

"Koo. Eat!"

"No."

Taehyung congratulated himself as he saw Jungkook starting to get angry. That was his whole purpose of this activity.

"Koo, I'm not gonna tell again-"

"Oh my God, just shut up!"

Taehyung flinched at that powerful blast and took a step back. Jungkook looked so angry but after watching Taehyung's startled expression, he sighed in dismay.

"I'm sorry for shouting, hyungie. I just don't want to eat them. Please."

"Uhh.. yeah, don't worry about it. I understand. I shouldn't have pressured you like that. Sorry."

Jungkook gave a small smile and Taehyung answered with a smile too. After standing there awkwardly for few seconds, Taehyung went back in to the kitchen and Jungkook returned to the living room.

Taehyung already found what he was looking for anyway.

The power that Jungkook's Omega carried as a result of marking an alpha, was not evident in his voice anymore.

Jungkook was no longer connected with his wolf.

Jimin was watching a video footage of the CCTV camera at the two main exits of the Lotte mall. It was a long shot but he wanted to see if Jungkook went out of the place at any time. He didn't had a vehicle so he would have to walk out and get a cab.

Or someone gave him a lift.

Jimin was watching the footage and didn't notice Jisoo coming to stand behind him.

"Oh- that's Rosie's van."

Jimin stopped the feed and looked at the girl. "Rosie?"

"Yeah, she's Bogumie's cousin. I've met her few times. They're really close."

"Oh.." Jimin's mind was in overdrive. "And.. uhh.. what does this Rosie do?"

"Do? As in her job?" Jisoo gave a teasing wink to Jimin. "Don't tell me you're interested in her!"

"Oh well-" Jimin pretended to be little shy at that, making Jisoo chuckle. "She's rather pretty, isn't she?"

"Hmm.. her husband definitely think so." Jisoo gave a comforting pat on to Jimin's shoulder as the latter looked a little upset at that. "Besides, she might be little out of your league."

"Huh? Why do you say that?"

"You see, beauty is not all she has. She's a witch."

Jimin let out a convincing gasp at that, his mind already connecting dots for the big picture. "Shut up!"

"Yep. A proper one with powers and all."

"You're right. She is out of my league."

"Yeah, sorry." Jisoo looked at the screen again. "What are you doing anyway?"

Jimin quickly closed the file. "Ohh.. nothing important. Just a little checking for a case I'm working on. Looks like a dead end though."

"Oh. Well, let me know if you need any help, okay. I might have a minute or two to spare."

"Thanks, Jisoo." Jimin's smile was genuine this time. "You've been a real help."

Taehyung cut the line, gripping the phone so tightly that his knuckles were turning white. It might have been a coincident but Bogum and a witch's involvement might just be the clue they were looking for. He would kill them both, if they had done anything to JK. V was already roaring in their mind in anger.

"Hyungie?"

Taehyung took a quick breath to calm himself down before turning to look at Jungkook. "Koo?"

"I wanna go home."

"Home? Is something wrong? We are leaving next week anyway."

"No, I wanna go bit early. So that I can welcome you when you come."

"Oh."

It surely sounded suspicious to Taehyung and he didn't knew what to say. It's not like he can stop Jungkook from going to his own home. "When are you planning to go?"

"Tomorrow."

Taehyung thought for a second and gave a nod. Maybe it's best that Jungkook goes home. Junghyun and others can keep an eye on him while Taehyung have a little chat with Bogum and his witch cousin.
