"Welcome, how-" Taehyung stopped talking when he noticed the person who entered the Vet clinic. It was Bogum, carrying a cute Ragdoll cat.

"Hello." Bogum said with a happy smile. "What a coincident!"

Taehyung gave a polite smile in return, while V growled in an annoyed way. The wolf did not believe this was a coincident at all. Taehyung of course had no other choice than to be polite as this was his work place.

"Park Bogum-ssi, how can we help you? And who's is this beautiful fella?" Taehyung said the last part in a cooing voice as he picked up the beautiful white cat from Bogum's arms. He made sure to keep his distance from the other but to his dismay, Bogum's hands touched his arms.

Taehyung wasn't sure whether it was accidentally or deliberate but either way, he decided to ignore it. He carried the cat to the examination table without giving any further attention to its owner. "What's wrong with him?"

Bogum, who had followed Taehyung to the table, peeked over from his shoulder, making Taehyung grit his teeth due to the close proximity.

"I don't know. Snow has been feeling a bit down lately. He's my cousin's cat actually. I'm just helping her since she's busy today."

Taehyung moved around the table in a pretence to fix the lights, so that the table stood as a obstacle between them. He checked the cat for few seconds, before looking back at Bogum.

"Well, he looks healthy to me. But it's definitely better to check. The doctor will be here in a moment, he's just finishing up a dressing."

"Sure, he can take all the time he wants." Bogum said with a radiant smile. "I mean, I don't mind waiting."

"Okay." Taehyung gave a nod and walked back towards his workstation.

Bogum quickly picked up the cat and followed him too, making Taehyung discreetly roll his eyes. He could very well see what the Omega was trying to do, even though he didn't comment on it due to politeness.

"So, Taehyung-ssi, have you been here for a long time? I must say, I never expected an Alpha to work in a such place."

That got V even more angry and Taehyung had to put some effort in to not let the wolf surface. True, it was rather unusual job preference for an alpha, not that it was any of Bogum's business.

Bogum was pushing a line and Taehyung had made up his mind to put the former in his place, when the door to the dressing room opened and Namjoon walked out.

"Tae, check Mr Coffee's dressing in about two hours okay. I put a special lotion on him and I wanna see how it's healing." Namjoon said as he removed his gloves and put them in to the wastebasket. "And who might this little guy be?"

"Hello." Bogum gave a friendly smile to Namjoon. "This is Snow."

"Oh.. pretty name for a pretty guy."

Taehyung quickly moved away to do some other work, as he found it bit annoying to be in the same room as Bogum even. He can explain it to Namjoon later.

It was after about 15 minutes that Namjoon called him back. The cat only needed vitamins as there wasn't anything really wrong with him. Taehyung updated the records and the payment.

"That's it then. Good bye, Snow. Make sure to take your vitamins everyday, okay?" Taehyung said in a cheery voice, deliberately attempting to talk only to the cat.

Things, however, didn't go the way he hoped. Or maybe, it went exactly how Bogum wanted.

One moment, Bogum was standing next to Taehyung, holding the cat. The next moment, he tripped on his own foot, and fell on to Taehyung.

Taehyung managed to not fall down by leaning on to the counter but since Bogum didn't had anything to hold on to, so his full weight landed on to Taehyung. The cat jumped out of Bogum's arms, leaving his hands free, which Bogum used to wrap around Taehyung's torso.

"Ouch!" Bogum said in a whiney voice, even though the full impact was taken by Taehyung.

Bogum seem to be taking his own sweet time untangling from Taehyung's body so the latter gently pushed him.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Are you hurt?" Bogum tried to put his hand on Taehyung's chest, in a fake attempt to check the latter's wellbeing, but Taehyung swiftly stopped his hand.

"I'm fine." Taehyung took a step away from Bogum. "Don't worry about it."

The unfriendliness in Taehyung's voice must have been apparent this time because Bogum didn't try to make any advances after that. He simply picked up the startled cat, and the documents that Taehyung handed over to him.

"Well, I guess I'll see you around, Taehyung-ssi."

"Didn't Dr Kim said that Snow does not need to be brought to the Vet again?"

"Oh yes, he did say that." Bogum gave a smile again. "I was thinking along the line that we can hang out sometime. Maybe go for coffee or something."

"I don't think that will be possible, Bogum-ssi. My Omega might react little negatively to it. We all know that just friendship is not what you have in mind."

Bogum looked as if Taehyung had slapped him. His face burned with intense emotions and for the first time, he didn't had that sickly sweet smile on his face as the looked at Taehyung.

Taehyung walked to his computer and started to do some work. And just as he expected, Bogum got the hint and let himself out of the Vet clinic without saying anything else.

Taehyung was feeling a little down as he opened the door to his house. What happened with Bogum plus a difficult case in work made his energy be drained out a lot. He just wanted to hug and kiss his baby, as it was the most effective way to replenish his energy.

Jungkook was walking towards him even before the door was closed and Taehyung felt a smile breaking in his face at the sight of his baby.

"Hyungie.." Jungkook called in a cheery voice as he half walked half ran towards Taehyung.

"Koo." Taehyung already had his arms wide open for Jungkook to slide straight in and that's exactly what the younger did.

Taehyung hid his face in Jungkook's soft hair, already feeling his tiredness melting away. But the feeling only lasted for a second as Jungkook abruptly pulled back. The younger took a step away from Taehyung, his face was all scrunched up with some unpleasant emotion. He seemed to be sniffing a bit too.

Jungkook face turned in to that of anger in the next second. He turned on his heels and practically ran to his room, and slammed the door closed once he got there.

Taehyung was dumbfounded. He didn't knew what happened and before he could come up with anything, a voice sounded from behind him.

"Uhh... what the hell just happened?"

Taehyung turned around to see Jimin standing at the opened door.

"I-I don't know." Taehyung replied in a worried tone.

"Well, you must have done something. He looked seriously pissed-off."

"I know! But nothing happened. He was happy, and then we hugged and.. I don't know."

Even Jimin looked confused as he walked to stand next to Taehyung. "You better figure out quick, unless you wanna sleep on the sofa today. And what is that new smell?"

Taehyung blinked in a confused way. "What smell?"

"Hmm.. new perfume? I don't know-" Jimin leaned closer and sniffed. "You kind of smell like Rosewater."

Taehyung raised his arm and smelled his shirt sleeve a bit. "I don't smell anything!"

"It's very faint." Jimin shrugged his shoulders. "But I have an excellent sense of smell. Very dog like. It's definitely Rosewater."

Taehyung looked utterly confused for few seconds and then, it clicked him. He must have gotten the smell from Bogum, when the latter accidentally hugged him.

And Jungkook seemed to have gotten it too. No wonder he got angry.

His Alpha just had another Omega's perfume smell on him.

A/N - so... I'm not sure how realistic this was. I don't actually know if perfume smells can linger on someone else's clothes like that. But for the sake of the story, please accept that it does. I couldn't think of anything to get Taehyung in trouble with Jungkook.. 🤭🤭🤭🤭
