《Till Death Do Us Part - A Taekook Love Story.》08 - I'm Not A Baby.

Jungkook tingled with excitement as his mother stopped the car near the High school. It's his first day and while he actually expected to come with Taehyung, the elder had some important work in the morning and so he came earlier.
Sonmi leaned towards Jungkook a bit and tried to smooth few unruly strands of hair but Jungkook stopped her by pulling back.
"Mom!!" Jungkook's sounded like whining and Sonmi couldn't help but smile amusedly at that. "Stop doing that. I'm not a baby."
"You will always be my baby, no matter how old you get." Sonmi pinched Jungkook's cheek affectionately, ignoring the latter's cry of protest.
Jungkook huffed once more, before getting out of the car. His admission and all other formalities were already done, he just needed to go to the office to get his timetable and then go to the first class. Today is the starting day for the new batch in school so Jungkook didn't have to worried about being the odd man.
"Bye mom." Jungkook waived his hand and Sonmi gave a cheery waive and a flying kiss in response.
Jungkook waited till his mom drove off, before walking inside. He went to the office by himself and got the timetable, all the while looking attentively for any sign of his favourite person.
Taehyung didn't exactly said where they would meet as he didn't knew when his work will end. Jungkook didn't want to call him either, in case he was still busy. He just sent a message to the elder, mentioning that he got his timetable and the first class, but he didn't get a reply.
With a small pout on his face, Jungkook pushed the phone in to his jean pocket and walked towards his class. Just as he reached the classroom, a familiar voice reached his ears.

"Koo!!"
Jungkook snapped his head towards that sound to see Taehyung running towards him. "Hyungie!"
"Hey.." Taehyung came to a screeching halt in front of the younger. "Gosh! I'm so sorry for being late, Koo."
"It's okay, hyungie." Jungkook assured with a soft smile. "It wasn't hard to manage."
Taehyung smiled back and raised a hand to fix the few unruly hair strands on the younger's head, which had messily fallen over to his eyes. But unlike when Sonmi tried to fix it, Jungkook didn't pull back. If anything, he leaned forward a bit for better access and waited patiently till Taehyung was done.
Jungkook had been used to the physical touches of Taehyung from a very young age. And as far as Jungkook remembered, he had been comfortable about them as he would be about breathing. It was just a natural part of their relationship.
But lately, he had developed this rather unusual condition, where every time Taehyung initiate a physical contact, let it be a pat on the arm, ruffling of hair, flicking his chin, etc- Jungkook gets his heartbeat fastened, his face flushed and would get this incomprehensible urge to avert eye contact.
In short, he becomes a tongue-tied and blushing mess, desperately trying to lower his heartbeat and not make a fool of himself in front of the elder. If Taehyung was affected the same way, he didn't show it at all.
"Koo?"
Jungkook looked up at Taehyung's slightly confused face, and realised that he missed whatever the elder was telling. "I'm sorry, hyungie, what did you say?"
Taehyung shook his head with a little smile. He's used to Jungkook's spacing out moments very well. "I said, class is about to start so you should inside."
"Oh." Jungkook chuckled in a shy way. "Okay."

"Ok then, go inside." Taehyung gently pushed the younger towards the door. "I'll see you at lunch."
"Bye hyungie."
Jungkook gave a one last smile to the elder before walking in to the class room, heart still beating a little faster than normal. He hoped whatever the reason for it, would go away before the teacher comes.

Jungkook excused himself from his new found friends at the lunch time and quickly went to the cafeteria. He only had to look around for a few seconds before he spotted Taehyung. The elder was looking at the entrance too so he was waiving his hands just as Jungkook came through the door.
Jungkook went to the table where Taehyung was sitting and the elder tapped the seat next to him for Jungkook to sit.
"Hey. Was the first day good?" Taehyung asked with a smile and Jungkook nodded his head enthusiastically.
"Yes, hyungie. I made new friends too."
"Oh that's good." Taehyung said as he put his arm around Jungkook's shoulder. "These are my friends. Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok and Kim Yerim."
Jungkook smiled as Taehyung introduced each one. Min Yoongi looked a little intimidating because he was not smiling much. He just gave a small nod to Jungkook and went back to his lunch.
Jung Hoseok could be only described as the exact opposite. He gave a radiant smile and even extended his hand for a shake. He said to call him Hobi, asked about Jungkook's class and even told to come to him if Jungkook have any problem. He seemed like the human interpretation of a positive energy and Jungkook immediately felt much better, just by this few minutes interaction.
And Kim Yerim, glared at Taehyung and told that her name was only Yeri. She talked lively with Jungkook, gave him piece of her toast and asked Jungkook to call her Noona.
All of Taehyung's friends seemed like really nice and they welcomed Jungkook in to their circle warmly. Jungkook told about the friends he made in class, Kim Yugyeom and Bambam. After lunch, Taehyung walked Jungkook to his class before going back to his own.
As Taehyung explained on the way back home, Yoongi is a Beta while Hoseok and Yerin are humans. It was not mandatory to disclose whether you're a human or a werewolf as both sets lived side by side in the world. Humans were aware about werewolves existence, some were okay with it but some were not.
Taehyung and Jungkook fell in to a comfortable pattern after that. Taehyung would drive to and back from school with Jungkook, as he was if the legal age of 18 now. Jungkook took turns to have lunch with his own friends and with Taehyung and his friends.
Except for the occasional fluttering moments, Jungkook was really enjoying his high school life.
