Hello, everyone. I started writing my poetry here two years ago. Since then, I've manifested as a person and as a writer.
Now I'm at 50k views and I never thought I'd make it this far, I wasn't sure if poetry was something people even wanted to see.
I don't know what to say except that i am so, so thankful for everything that's happened so far. I have learned to love myself, the good and the bad, and things are so much better than they were.
When I started writing this I was really depressed. My mother was an alcoholic and her addiction very severely affected my life, when I was younger especially. She screamed, and swore, she fell again and again. There were hospital visits — many of them. On the 9th of November 2018 she finally passed away.
What I've learned is that never really fades. I can't look at blood or hear a scream without being sent back to that time of my life.
I'm not depressed anymore.
But I'm still hurt. And I will never not be hurt.
