Its tears drop and wash my own,
Soothing the skin that they hit.
But what to do about the fire
That has started burning within?
How to conqure the pain inside,
The pain of losing someone dear?
How to turn my heart to concret,
And be strong for the weak?
How to still my shaking body?
How to make peace with everything?
For a young soul like his
Was not meant to be buried still.

Ghosts Within takes place in a semi post-apocalyptic world where the lines between technology and magic are blurred and scattered cities are the last refuge of civilization. Essentially, it's Blade Runner + Ocean's 11 with the magic system from Bioshock.

Persecuted and torn apart by infighting, the Onmyoji reunited under the banner of the Tsuchimikado clan, descendants of Abe no Seimei, one of the greatest Onmyoji to ever live. The Onmyoji began to rebuild and to regrow. Ren is the sole heir to the Tsuchimikado family, but has been unable to practice Onmyodo ever since his birth, even though he possesses the greatest ability in the family. But when disaster befalls his family, Ren has nobody to turn to, and no idea how to use his powers. As he journeys to escape the same fate his family faced and attempts to learn how to use his powers, there is only one question on his mind; as the Tsuchimikado heir, how can he save the Onmyoji... from themselves? ---------------------------------------------- note from author: I'm writing this based loosely on the very real theories of Onmyodo, and so my writing may not be a truthful or accurate depiction of Onmyodo or other related areas, such as religion, for instance. That is why, while depicted in the real world, events that happen may seem unrealistic and it may be easier to imagine it as a parallel universe that is the same as ours, but with slight differences so that my possible errors will be easier to overlook. To him survival isn't the most important after all that he had been through, but he refuses defeat in his pursuit to understand the strange reality he finds himself in. Join this journey of his new story in finding out the answers and secrets of this world. I like this Genre to put it bluntly but I've always found that illogical 'Science' and flawed laws of the world, typical in these stories. So, I've decided to fix that. I have tried my best to make weirdness make sense in this World filled with Magic. Short of simulating them to verify, the laws of this new world should make some reasonable sense and will be consistent (As much as I humanely can keep it that way). This might mean my story might vary in it's progression speed but as a compensation, I promise to have a lot more sensible Cliffhangers if I must put them in. Also, I'm not a big fan of over using vocabulary when telling a story. So, My Language will be very unsophisticated. Hope that's not a putoff. So, Enjoy your reading!

Johnny tried desperately to claw at Chris, attempting to remove his head away from him, but he didn't budge.Now covering his mouth Johnny slowly adjusted to Chris's strong tongue which was now thrusting and flicking around In and around his hole."Mmffmm.." Johnny's moans were now muffled and slurred as he felt himself come closer to climaxation.
