《When Fireflies Diminish | Poetry》3 | Beyond The Windows

I stand in a room bare of doors,

But with plenty of windows to look out,

And in each I see something,

All thorns that pain me.

In one window there's love,

A young couple with sparkling eyes.

In another there's care,

A mother and child giggle as they play.

In another there's youth,

Friends that banter, run around.

And I'm here all alone,

Just starring out wondering how...

How to join and open a door,

Fit in with the scenery beyond

These closed windows.
