《When Fireflies Diminish | Poetry》2 | Kiss The Moon

When my soul leaves this earthly cage,

And my bones are put somewhere,

When my conscience is no more,

When those few I hold dear mourn,

I want to break free and rise above.

I want to touch the clouds in the sky,

Plant a kiss upon the shimmering moon,

Glide along with the summer's breeze,

Look back at my loved ones once more.

Let me see oh for one last time,

How the world looks from unveiled eyes,

How the soul perceives when not bound,

When there are no restrictions,

Hurtful tongues that dirty all.

Let me then kiss the moon again,

My life-long companion

Whom I ranted again and again.

Let me say farewell once and for all,

With the hopes that I'll be reborn,

I'll just pray I'll be united once again

With the moon and all that's there!
