Okay, I'm going out with Tyler! Yesterday in Science, I could hear him and James whispering again, and once or twice I heard the words, "write," "note," and "Emily." I kind of got the idea that they were writing me a note. I turned around quickly to see what they were doing, and James was leaning over Tyler's shoulder, helping him write it.

Then after class, James handed me the note and said, "This is from Tyler..." and he had this sly grin on his face. I tried to be nonchalant, like I really didn't care what the note said, but I opened it. It said:

"Hey Emily, what's up? NMH I think you know why I'm writing this. I was gonna ask you out but I was too afraid... I'm to scared to ask you to your face, so I'm writing you a note. Will you go out with me?" - Tyler

[NMH = "nothing much here." Not exactly true, in this case.] I totally flipped out when I read that note - I was so giddy, I would have been disgusted with myself if I were anyone else. I told James to tell Tyler, "Yes," so that we were going out!

After school I went over James's house with Melanie, Louis, and Tyler. Tyler and I were goofing around, just like we always do, and it was fun. He's going to England on the 16th - that's where he's from, originally - and I'm going to miss him so much! I have to hook up with him at Michelle's party - I must! [I always say, it's important to set goals.]
