Today is Monday. Last weekend, a carnival came to town and was set up in the high school parking lot. I went on Saturday with Shauna, Stacy, Maggie, and Erin. I am becoming very good friends with Erin and Stacy is becoming extremely annoying. I guess she went to the carnival again yesterday, while I was at a football game.

There was a carny - that's someone who works at a carnival - cleaning a BB gun and it accidentally went off and hit Stacy in the leg. [This is why I always say, steer clear of carnies cleaning BB guns.] I can imagine that would hurt, but get this: today it was 45 degrees F out and she wore shorts to school. And do you know why? She told me it was so she could show all the guys her wound. Which was conveniently located on her upper thigh. What a poser skank. Yuck.

Life

Life is a chain of random events

Not directly affecting one another

But staying in the back of your mind

To be drawn up later

And used to just people in the future.

There's nothing you can do to stop it.

It won't slow down,

And you can't predict when a problem will hit you full force.

All you can do is go with it.

You'll meet people along the way,

All of whom are caught up in the same whirlwind as you are.

Sometimes it may seem that you've found

Something solid to hold onto.

But more often than not, that which once seemed so strong is blown away

And you are left alone.

You can cry, but it won't change anything.

You can't control what's happening.

All you can do is deal with the aftermath.
