The sound of the the digital clock was the most annoying thing to wake up in the morning, my hand reached for the clock to turned it of. The digital alarm was laying on the nightstand which was next to the bed.

With my eyes closed i took a deep breath to collected a lives until my eyes finally fluttered open. The sky looked so bright, it being covered by the thin black curtain. I rolled my body then stared at the big window in front of my bed for a moment until i finally got up from the bed.

My feet were touching the cold black marble floor, I took the shirt that laying on the chair then wore it. I walked out of my room then walked downstairs, straight to the kitchen.

The smell of a fried meat was filling the penthouse as i walked down the stairs, when I entered the dining room i found a plate of breakfast was ready on the dining room table. there was a simple bacon and an omelette on a white plate complete with a cup of tea next to it.

It was still fresh, it was still hot. I grabbed the plate and the cup of tea then brought it into the living room. The penthouse was full of silent, all i could hear was the tap of my feet on the floor and my own breath.

I put it on the white table in front of the sofa, right next to a newspaper and some letter on the table. I hadn't got a chance to opened it since i got so busy at the office, where i had to work and focused.

I turned the tv on, and as always i changed it into a news channel. A news anchor was reporting the news that were happening around the world while I began to ate my breakfast.

That routine was still running since several years ago, waking up in the morning, eating breakfast while watching a news and staring at the view of the city from the glass wall that covered half of the penthouse. I wondered when were i going to change my routine, I haven't thought about changing it.

My life was 90% at the office, working and working. While the other 10% was about working out, i had to keep myself healthy so i could focus on work. So 100% of my mind and my body actually belonged to the company.

I moved out from my parents house since my dad gave me a position in the company, i bought a penthouse to stayed since a several years ago. I lived alone with a maid and a driver, most of my dad's people which meant the bodyguards were only stay at the basement.

Only the people that me and my dad trusted that could reach the penthouse which were my driver Mr Will, Blake my personal bodyguard and a maid name teresa.

I stared at the view of the city from the glass wall in front of me, I remembered that i had an important meeting that day. My dad was going to be there and he wanted me to be there, i remembered that I haven't done my presentation for the very important client so i had to be at the office earlier. I wanted everything to be perfect just as the plan, i wanted it to be perfect.

I had done eating breakfast, i took a quick shower before putting on my suit for work. I was standing inside of my closet while still feeling confused which tie should i wore. I had so many types of tie and I didn't know why i had these ties.

I sprayed on a perfume before walking out of the closet. I grabbed on my phone to tell Mr Will that I was ready to go. I walked out of my room before walking down the stairs, i saw Teresa was cleaning the mess that i made on the table.

"Morning Mr Hamilton" she said.

"Morning" i said while making my way into the elevator.

I got inside of the elevator then went into the lobby, a black car was ready to take me to the office with Blake standing in front of it. He opened up the door for me to got in, he closed the door behind me then walked into the passenger seat next to Mr will the driver.

A black SUV was also parked behind me, a car for the bodyguard that had been following me everywhere. It actually annoyed me so much but my dad said i needed them, he said it was for my own protection.

The car began to moves straight into the office, i opened my phone then contact Agatha. She was my personal secretary, she had been working with the company since i got into the company. She was pretty annoying but gladly she was a hard worker and easy to controlled.

"Good morning sir" her voice suddenly appeared.

"Agatha, i want you to prepare all of the important document for the meeting, I want it to be ready this morning." I said to her.

"Understand sir" she said.

I ended up the phone call then tap on the email app then checked it, i knew that was probably going to be a long tiring day.

After a few minutes the car entered the main building, it stopped right in front of the lobby. One of the security guard at the lobby opened up the door for me,

"Morning sir"

"Morning"

I entered the company building then walked straight into my office room, i opened the door and found Agatha is inside of the room putting some of the documents on my table.

"Good morning sir, the documents are ready" she said as i walked passing her then sat on the chair facing the laptop in front of me.

"Thank you" i said.

"Do you want a cup of coffee sir?" She asked.

"No thank you" i said.

"Your welcome, excuse me" she said then finally walked out of my space.

I turned on my laptop then started to open up the documents that Agatha brought for me, i was hoping it had all of the data from several years ago.

Everything that written on the documents were pretty confusing and hard to understand, i kinda feel confused. Well i knew my dad was going to be there to help me if i messed up, but at least i had to try my best. Well i wished I wasn't going to mess it up though, it was a very important meeting for the company.

It was 12 pm and it was the time for everyone to take a break for lunch so the office was probably empty, only some of the people that were probably got a job that had to be done right on the time.

I suddenly heard someone was knocking on the door, i knew it must be Agatha. And i was right she walked in then walked closer to my desk,

"Excuse me sir, sorry I forgot to give you this it's been laying on my desk for a few days" she said but I wasn't paying any attention to her.

"Thanks just put it there" i said.

"Do you want me to get you a lunch sir?" She asked.

"No thank you, i'll eat later" i said then began to type something on the laptop.

"Okay sir" she said before turning around then left.

I know she was only trying to be nice but i felt annoyed, but like i said she was helping though. So yeah.

I was working in my office room until my secretary walked in with a smile on her face, ugh she smiles a lot it annoyed me.

"Sir Mr. Blake is here" she said.

Blake was actually the head of the bodyguard and he had been following me around since the past few years.

"Let him in" i said.

He walked in with his normal bodyguard uniform and an earpiece on his ear,

"Sir" he said.

I ignored him while kept typing on my laptop for a meeting with a very important client tonight,

"She's back" Blake said and it made my head finally looked up at him.

"After 6 damn years?" I asked him.

"She's back in town sir" he informed me.

"Agatha cancel all the meeting today" i said to my secretary that was standing on the door.

"Got it sir" she said before walking away.

"Blake, prepare my car" i said.

"Got it sir" he said before turning around then left me alone inside of my office room.

Avalana, it's been 6 fucking years since you left me. And I'm still waiting for you to come back as i promise you back then.

I was all alone in my office room, I was about to closed all of the things in my laptop screen until the telephone on my desk suddenly rang.

I picked it up and surprisingly it was my dad who called me,

"What the hell are you thinking canceling our important meting today son?" He asked me.

"I have a really important thing to do sir" i said to him while looking at the computer screen.

"What's really important beside the meeting?"

He asked, cause i knew that the meeting was a really important meeting. But she was also important for me, it had been 6 years since she was gone.

"I'll meet you at my office now." He said.

"Got it sir" i said.

I missed her so much, i wanted to see her. She had been avoiding her hometown and I hadn't heard anything about her since she left.

I got up from my seat then ready to made my way into my dad's office, which was at the very top floor of the building. Only some people with a silver card that could reach that floor including me.

It only took a second until the elevator door went open, it brought me to my dad's office room. I was being greeted by his secretary, she sent me a smile then let me walked into his office. I slowly opened the big wooden door by the hard metal knob on it.

I walked in then found him was writing something down the paper, i walked closer to his table until he finally stopped writing then looked up at me. He was looking at me like he knew something was happening,

"It's all about her isn't it son?" He asked me while giving me a look.

"No sir" i lied.

He turned his chair around to grab something from the table then throw a famous Tabloid on the table, it had her picture on it.

'The second Valerie is back in town, welcome doctor!" The tabloid said.

It was a picture of her walking out from the jet and greeted by her mom and Gabriel, also Laura and her son Jacob.

She still had the same long brown hair but she covered her beautiful face with a sunglasses, i missed her so fucking much. Everyone was right we cannot buy a happiness with money, ever since she walked out of my life it seemed I lost the half of my heart, my life felt so empty and not so interesting any more.

I didn't even think about having a relationship ever since she was gone, I stayed for her and promised myself that i'll wait for her forever. I remembered when my parents felt so embarrassed after they found out that Lana and i called it off. But thankfully her family was a super carrying family so both of our family still had a very good relationship.

"Am i right son?" My dad asked me.

"She's really important to me dad" i said to him.

"But this meeting is also very important for our company." He said.

"You can't just leave it" he said.

"Besides I don't know if she wants to meet you or not" he said, and the words seemed stabbed me right on my chest.

I stayed in a silent while looking down to the marble floor, my dad was right.

"You're right" i said.

"I'm going to be at the meeting tonight" i said.

He just nodded, i turned around and left him alone in his office. I walked back into my office room then realized an invitation that Agatha put on my table.
