《Mr. Executive》Chapter 42

"Coming." I call out as I hurriedly emerge from the kitchen and into the entering halls foyer.
Quickly looking through the peep hole, I smile in relief as I see the woman standing at the other end.
Opening the door, the green eyed, woman greets me with an enthusiastic smile.
"It's nice to meet you once again." I greet out.
"Likewise," she smiles back kindly and hugs me through all the various bags in her hands.
"Let me help you with that." I say realising she's struggling.
"No problem, now anyways lets make you look even more gorgeous than you naturally are." She says winking while I take her bags.
Laughing, I nod and take her to my room.
Not even two minutes later does she take out everything she needs to and places it on the dresser in front of the both of us.
Various make up and hair products lay before me, some things I hadn't seen before in my entire life.
"So," I say trying to start conversation "Why didn't Stella join us?" I question out.
"She really wanted to but then Stella had to run some last minute errands and stuff."
"Oh okay."
"Don't worry, I'm great company and won't be a total bore while I make you look good."
We both laugh at her words as she starts to work her magic.
I was expecting both Stella and Abby but oh well, at least Abby was great company, true to her words.
After that awkward conversation with Alexander's father yesterday, none of us brought it back up and continued on with our day.
But I knew that when Alexander picked me up, the only thing the both of us would be focused on would be his fathers words and the whole marriage ordeal.

I wasn't freaking out.
But that was mainly because I hadn't really given it chance to settle in.
I was too scared to actually let that happen.
Time flies by as she works on my face and hair, having various conversations about idle things.
"So what's going on between you and Alexander?" She questions innocently.
"Stella's quite a talker isn't she," I muse, smiling.
Abby laughs and nods her head.
"I don't really know to be honest." I say with my brows furrowed.
"I'm assuming it's complicated?"
"You assume right." I say sighing.
"Well all I know is that Alexander likes you a lot and talks about you continuously, you're a great girl. Don't doubt yourself." Abby says kindly, voice full of honesty.
"Thanks Abby, I actually needed to hear that." I say gratefully.
"Well you're welcome and you are also ready."
With that she steps away from me as I get up from the stool I was sitting on.
Needles to say she had done a great job, with my usually messy scruffy curls for once now in loose lush curls.
My makeup was done expertly, literally since Abby was a hair and makeup artist, my blue eyes stood out and my light pink almost nude painted lips created a nice contrast against my skin.
For once since yesterday, I was starting, and letting myself feel excited.
"Here's your dress." Abby says happily handing it over to me as I thank her while she leaves the room.
The dress was as beautiful as ever with its lace and embroidered detailing, the tight bodice fit snug against me and the loose ruffles of the dress luckily didn't drag at my feet.
Struggling to do my zipper, I reach my arm behind my back but can't stretch my hand up due to the odd angle.

I jump slightly as warm hands grasp my own, pushing them gently away and ever so slowly pull the zipper up with their hands trailing over the exposed skin.
Finally zipped, I stay stock still as Alexander wraps his arms around me from behind and pulls me into him.
Leaning to look up at him, his eyes are closed.
"What happened?" I say turning in his arms.
He still doesn't let me go and holds me closer to him, if that was even possible.
"Nothing, just preparing myself for your dazzling looks." He says smirking.
I roll my eyes but know he can't see as I lightly smack his chest.
"Charmer." I say giggling.
"Oh I know."
And then Alexander opens his eyes and steps away.
Squirming under his intense scrutiny, I try to walk away to pretend to do something but he stops me.
"You manage to take my breath away every god damn time. You are without a doubt the most beautiful girl in the world."
I would have thought he was being his usual flirty, panty dropping self but the intensity on his face as well as the complete sincerity in his eyes stops my breath and my heart starts to hammer in my chest.
Alexander pulls me close to him, arms loosely wrapped around my waist.
He simply stares at me, almost taking me in.
I grab the nape of his neck and pull him close to me, our lips almost brushing against each other, his warmth breath fanning my face.
I wait for him to initiate the kiss as he always does so but he doesn't, instead this time I decide to take charge.
Bringing his head down further, I slam my lips to his, careful not to ruin my makeup at the same time.
Taken by surprise, he doesn't respond and stands there before getting into action and taking charge.
Our lips locked in a heated frenzy, he groans out as I pull sharply onto his hair, his hand trailing down from my neck to the exposed skin on my back, tracing light circles.
Maybe we should forget about the event and Alexander could take me right here right now on the bed.
As soon as the thought goes through my mind I freeze in shock.
Did I actually just think that?
Noticing my lack of attention Alexander stops, good thing too or otherwise I had a feeling we would get too carried away.
"We should get going." Alexander says his voice coming out hoarse as we both pant for air.
"Mmm" I respond, "wait where did Abby go."
"Home." Is all he says as he grabs my hand and leads me out the room, almost forgetting about my clutch.
Only now do I notice Alexander in his attire.
Everyday I see him in one suit after the next, not that I was complaining or anything but this time he was wearing an all black tux, black shirt black everything , with his hair gelled yet still that sexy bed hair look and for some reason that just made him ten times more hotter to me.
"You ready?" He says grasping my hand as we make our way down to the car.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I say exhaling.
Alexander grins as he leans down to peck me on the lips once more before opening my car door, motioning for me to get in which I do.
As the car starts, with each passing moment, the butterflies in my stomach start to build with anticipation and I know that this event will be anything but eventful.
