Arnav Singh Raizada stared blankly at the laptop screen, reading the same line again and again.

His brain came up with a million retorts he will have to say, when Kushi Kumari Gupta asks the obvious question.

Why did he have her kangan with him. And why did he keep them with him all along?

"ASR. The site survey of the American company, D-fab is scheduled for this afternoon" Aman, the trusted PA said

"Okay" Aman stared at his boss in shock when the man signed a document without reading it.

That is a first. Aman is aware that he is one among the very short list of people Arnav Singh Raizada trusted. But ASR has never signed a document, without cross checking them himself.

"Uh ASR. You didn't read the document" Aman said awkwardly snapping his boss out of whatever daze he was in.

Aman watched in fascination, as ASR visibly tried to pull himself together.

What happened to this man? Why is he so undone today? Aman wondered.

The last time he had seen, or maybe the only time he had seen ASR undone like this was while a tornado named Kushi Kumari Gupta worked in AR.

She had managed to get under the ASR's skin and make him go nuts by challenging anything and everything he does.

Aman shook his head to dispel the unwanted thoughts from his head. He is not going paid for psychoanalysing his boss. He better stick to his job, if he needs a paycheck at the month end.

Arnav sighed in relief as soon as Aman stepped out of his cabin.

If he isn't careful, he will definitely make a fool of himself in front of his employees or clients.

Kushi did the small work of carrying files from one executive to other, taking Xerox copies of important files making work easier for the other employees.

The temp agency where she had registered with, had called her a couple of days ago, asking her to fill in the role of an errand girl in a start up company in Delhi.

She is employed only for two weeks, as the permanent errand girl of the company is on a sick leave.

The job kept her busy and helped her to keep herself from thinking about a certain angry Raizada.

"Kushi, please give this to Mishra ji" an employee said handing over a file to Kushi and she took it with a smile.

Unlike the employees of AR, the people her were all good to her. They treated her like an equal. They used the words please sorry and thank you without hesitation.

Her phone rang indicating an incoming call and she saw it was from her sister.

"Haa jiji" Kushi answered.

"Kushi, come to the devi maiyya temple after the work. We will go home together from here" Payal said

"Okay jiji" Kushi said and hung up.

Her sister had taken up a job with a local tailor near Kushi's work place. They travel together to and from the work. Today, her sister seems to get off work early and decided to wait for Kushi at the devi maiyya temple.

Arnav Singh Raizada stopped the car in front of the devi maiyya temple.

The golden bangle, safe in the inside pocket of his jacket, close to his heart.

He raised a hand and touched over there, just to make sure it is there.

He had called Kushi's number to know where she was and his calls went unanswered. And that fueled his anger further.

How dare she ignore his calls. Who does she thinks she is?

He stepped down from his car and slipped off the shades and pocketed them.

He looked up at the temple and somehow he knew he could find her here.

A light breeze touched his face and his heart started its marathon race, somehow sensing her presence.

Something that is beyond his comprehension.

He had always been able to sense her presence even before seeing or hearing her. He also knows that she feels the same.

He looked around and found her hurrying towards the staircase leading up to the temple.

He watched with hawk eyes as she came to an abrupt stop, and her hands flew to her heart and clutching them tightly. He saw her eyes widening and then looking around.

For him!

Proof that she felt his presence just like he did.

A smirk appeared on his face when her eyes connected with hers and he marched towards her with determined steps.

"Kushi" he called out as he neared her and clenched his teeth as a wary look entered her eyes.

"Damn it! Why the hell didn't you attend my calls? Who the hell do you think you are to ignore my calls?" The anger overpowered everything and he lashed out at her.

"I was working Mr Raizada. And I figured there is nothing important for us to talk about anyway. So why waste both our times?" Kushi asked with a casual shrug which only angered him more.

"You figured? You think I'm jobless and will call you without any purpose.?" He asked angrily

"You tell me Mr Raizada. Only you know" she said

Arnav took out the golden bangle and extended it towards her.

Kushi sucked in a sharp breath as she saw her mother's bangle in his palm.

"Ye kangan...." she whispered

"I believe this is yours Ms Gupta. And I'm here to return them" he said

"Ji?" she nodded in confusion and wondered where he got this from.

She had pawned them at a jewel shop a month ago, while trying to solve a fight between Arnav and Lavanya.

"I got this from the jewel shop where you pawned this" Arnav said and Kushi looked up at him in shocked surprise.

"I knew why you pawned them. I knew it was you who bought the plants" Arnav said

Kushi wanted to ask why he had bothered to get her bangles but she kept silent, because she knew what his answers would be.

'Tumhari payal meri paas thi iska koi galat matlab mat nikaal lena'

(Don't think anything wrong just because I had your anklet with me)

'Ye mat sochna ki ek amir aadmi tumhari payal apne seene pe lagakar baitaa tha

Mujhe iss sabse koi faraq nahi padta

It doesn't mean a thing'

(Don't make the mistake of thinking that a rich man had kept your anklet close to his heart. I don't care about these things)

'Koi matlab nahi hei?'

'Shayad tumhare liye hoga.Tumhe tho laga hoga tumhari zindagi ban gayi. Mere liye uss baat ki ya tumhari koi ehmiyat nahi hei'

(Maybe it meant something to you. You must have thought your life is made. You or your things doesn't mean a thing to me)

'Koi maini nahi rakthi tum aur tumse judi koi bhi cheez'

The words he uttered not long ago, echoed in her ears and she shut all the windows to her heart tightly before looking up at him.

"Shukriya" Kushi said taking the bangle from his palm, leaving him shocked.
