Kushi reached Shantivan in an hour.

She had decided to stay away from the family. But then that would mean ASR still has a hold over her.

So visiting the Raizadas is a part of proving to herself that the man doesn't mean anything to her anymore

She pressed the calling bell and the door was opened by Hariprakash who greeted her enthusiastically

She was then ushered to the living room where the Raizada ladies along with Lavanya were sitting

"Kushi ji" Anjali was the first to notice her.

"How are you all." She asked taking blessings from Nani and hugging the two younger ladies

"We are good. You tell us how are you? You simply vanished after Diwali night and we have no idea about your whereabouts" Anjali softly admonished

"I was a little busy with job hunting Anjali ji"

"Did you find a job Kushi ji?"

"Yes Anjali ji. Its not exactly a job. I have registered with a temporary job agency. They recruit employees for bigger companies who need temporary workers. They will call when they find a job suitable for us" Kushi said

Kushi noticed Lavanya looking unusually dull.

"Lavanya ji? Aap teek tho hei?"

(You alright?)

"Ofcourse chamkili. Mujhe kya hoga?"

(What will happen to me)

"Aap pareshan lag rahe ho. Is something bothering you?" Kushi asked and Lavanya smiled at her

(You look troubled)

"Nothing is bothering me chamkili. You tell about this fiancee of yours" Lavanya made an attempt to tease her, but her heart was breaking

Arnav Singh Raizada heard the excited chatter coming from downstairs and he knew.

He knew she is here.

Arnav walked briskly out of the bedroom and stood on the stairs looking down at the woman who has been haunting him ever since the fashion show at Sheesh Mahal

"Kushii" his voice boomed around the whole Shantivan startling everyone

The Raizadas held their breath waiting for the explosion

Because that's what happens when these two are in the same room

"Ji?" Kushi asked calmly

"Come upstairs. I want to talk to you" Arnav Singh Raizada decreed

Kushi simply raised an eyebrow at him causing him to narrow his eyes at her

"Maaf kijiye, aaj hum thoda busy hun. Humaare paas waqt nahi hei faaltu mein aapse ladne keliye Mr Raizada" Kushi said and turned back to the Raizada ladies ignoring the fire breathing dragon

(Forgive me, I'm a little busy today. I don't have spare time to waste fighting with you)

Devayani Raizada beamed at Kushi.

She adored the young girl. She so wanted her grandson to marry Kushi. But then her grandson is in love with Lavanya.

She was initially against the relationship, but slowly started liking Lavanya.

If their chotte's happiness is with Lavanya, what could she do.

But Kushi bitiya would have made a wonderful wife for chotte. Keeping him under control. Not cowering in fear when he raises his voice.

Devayani sighed.

Maybe in the next birth, she thought

Arnav Singh Raizada walked out of the house angrily

How dare she refuse him

She will come out of the house soon and he will talk to her then

If he decided he wanted to talk to her, then no one can stop him from talking to her.

Kushi kept on chattering with the Raizada ladies for another half an hour, not knowing that a hurricane is waiting for her outside the house.

"Accha ab hum chalte hei Nani ji. Hume der horahi hei" Kushi said

(Okay, I'm taking your leave. I'm getting late)

Nani nodded with a smile

"Keep coming bitiya. It feels as if you are a part of our family now" Nani said

As she stood up from the couch, she took Lavanya to a corner

"Lavanya ji. If there is something bothering you, you can always talk to me. You know right?" Kushi asked

Lavanya sighed

"I know." Kushi said suddenly and Lavanya looked up at her in surprise

"You do?"

"Its not rocket science. Ofcourse it must be that laad governor. Why else would you be upset. Why do you put up with all his tantrums. If he shouts at you Lavanya ji. Shout back at him" Kushi said angrily

Lavanya laughed

"Ye sirf tum hi kar sakti ho chamkili" Lavanya said and hugged her tightly

(Only you can do that chamkili)

Kushi felt something different in Lavanya's tone and hug, but decided against asking further.

"I'm getting late Lavanya ji" Kushi said and walked out of the house

As soon as she stepped out, she was pulled into a powerful arms and dragged to the poolside through the garden

"What are you doing? Let me go" Kushi said furiously

Without responding to her protests, he tightened his hold on her and left her only when they reached the pool side

Kushi rubbed her arms which were burning due to his death grip

"Ye kya batameezi hei Mr Raizada?" Kushi asked

(What non sense is this)

Arnav held her shoulders and shook her hard

"Tumhari engagement hogayi hei aur tum mujhe batana zaruri nahi samji?" He asked angrily

(You got engaged and you didn't feel it necessary to inform me?)

Kushi stared at him in bewilderment

What bloody non sense is he talking about?

"Answer me damn it"

"Humari sagai ho ya na ho. Aap ko isse kya faraq padta hei."

(I get engaged or not. How does that matter to you)

"Faraq padta hei damn it. Kyunki...." he trailed off not knowing the answer himself

(Ofcourse it matters...because)

"Faraq nahi hona chahiye Mr Raizada" Kushi said sternly

(It shouldn't matter Mr Raizada)

Arnav was breathing fire through his nose.

"And yeah. If you try to manhandle me again, you will not be spared Mr Raizada. I'm warning you. Haat lagane ki koshish bhi ki, to dekh lena Kushi Kumari Gupta kya cheez hei" Kushi turned on her heels and walked away from leaving Arnav Singh Raizada to pull his hair out in frustration

(If you dare to touch me again, you will face the wrath of Kushi Kumari Gupta)
