"Apni cheezen yahan wahan chodne ki aadat hei tumhari." Arnav Singh Raizada said

(You have the habit of leaving your things here and there)

"Jaise apni payal mere pool side pe chodi thi." He continued as Kushi remained silent

(Like how you left your anklet at my pool side)

"Tumhari payal meri paas thi iska koi galat matlab mat nikaal lena" he added

(Don't think anything wrong just because I had your anklet with me)

"Ye mat sochna ki ek amir aadmi tumhari payal apne seene pe lagakar baitaa tha. Mujhe iss sabse koi faraq nahi padta. It doesn't mean a thing" he said breaking her heart into million little pieces

(Don't make the mistake of thinking that a rich man had kept your anklet close to his heart. I don't care about these things)

"Koi matlab nahi hei?" Kushi whispered in her broken voice

"Shayad tumhare liye hoga.Tumhe tho laga hoga tumhari zindagi ban gayi. Mere liye uss baat ki ya tumhari koi ehmiyat nahi hei" he said ruthlessly, crushing her beneath his words

(Maybe it meant something to you. You must have thought your life is made. You or your things doesn't mean a thing to me)

"Koi maini nahi rakthi tum aur tumse judi koi bhi cheez" ASR kept the words flowing trying to put an end to the whole madness.

(You or anything related to you doesn't mean a thing to me)

He needed to push her away. He needed to get her out of his life so that he could get a moment of peace.

Arnav stared at the young girl clad in his favourite coloured saree. The girl whom he held in his arms a while ago.

A girl whom he almost kissed, moments before announcing his engagement to Lavanya.

He clenched his teeth and fisted his palm into a tight fist.

This girl had caused him to loose control.

His legendary control.

No one dared to do that before.

No one will ever.

The momentary slip will never be repeated.

"Tum jaisi ladkiyon ko mein ache se jaante hun. Paisa dekha nahi aur apni auqaat"

(I have seen many girls like you. The moment you see money, you will forget your status)

Kushi had her head bent until that moment.

When he uttered those despicable words her head shot up and she stared into his eyes.

Arnav sucked in a sharp breath.

Her eyes were empty. A chill travelled down his spine seeing her look.

"Hogaya? Jo kehna tha wo sab keh diya? Agar kehne keliye kuch bacha nahi hei tho, aap please ghar jayiye. Aapka pariwar aapkeliye intezaar kar raha hoga. Kaas karke aapke mangetar" Kushi said adopting a calm tone, so opposing to her storming heart.

(Done? Have you finished saying whatever you wanted to way. If there is nothing left to say, please leave. Your family must be waiting for you. Specially your fiancee)

But no. She wouldn't let this man see how much he hurt her.

How he broke her.

She would never let him know the power he has over her.

Never ever!

With that Kushi turned around and walked into her house leaving Arnav to stare at her retreating figure.

Kushi rushed to the washroom, without paying any heed to her family's questions about the Diwali celebrations at Shantivan

As soon as the washroom door closed behind her, she let the tears fall.

The pain was unbearable.

She doesn't know what she feels for him, but she knew it was intense.

Whatever she feels for the man has the power to destroy her.

She cupped her mouth with her both hands and sobbed into them, letting them muffle her cries from her beloved family

She do not want an audience for her heartbreak, when up until a while ago, she had no idea that her heart was involved in this

What is this feeling called?

This over powering consuming intense feeling she feels for someone who had only ever hurt her. Only ever hurled insults at her.

Why does it have to be him?

Why devi maiyya? Why?

Why does he have this much power over her feelings.

She dropped down on the floor and hugged her knees to her chest and cried hard.

Why did she let him touch her like that?

Why? When she knows he belongs to someone else?

How could she let go off her morals like that and let a committed man touch her

And heaven forbid, if that call hadn't come.

What would have happened?

Would he have kissed her??

Would she have let him??

There were lots of questions with no answers.

And she do not want answers anymore.

Whatever she felt, whatever she feels for him, will have to be buried

Because this will only lead to heartbreak.

'Please devi maiyya. Give me strength. Let this also pass like all other miseries in my life' Kushi silently prayed to her devi maiyya
